Disgusting and dirty without any room cleaning 4 days..no soap shampoo glass..terrible place and inconvenient¿ highly recommended to ajoid this place and i travel a lot

Nothing to like

Excellent location, a beautiful village very close to the Gotthard tunnel and pass, making it easy to reach the tunnel early and avoid the heavy traffic. Very friendly staff. Excellent goulash soup in small restaurant.

Fairly basic room, but perfectly adequate.

Loved that we had the whole hotel to ourselves. There was a system glitch and the hotel appeared online for just a fraction of a second. We booked right at that moment and it turned out the place was actually empty due to renovation, so we ended up having an amazing time. The hosts were really kind and adorable.

These are not negative points, just a matter of preference and comfort. We found the rooms a bit too warm, although opening the windows helped a lot. The beds were also slightly too soft for our taste. Other than that, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay there again despite these small comfort details.

We were a party of 4 on a road trip around Germany / Switzerland and booked this Hotel as a value stop. The Hotel staff were excellent, and the rooms were comfy and clean. Very good food and beers. Good Shower, and a little terrace outside. The location of this hotel is stunning. The Glacial River nearby, the fabulous Church and the views made this a lovely surprise stop.

Nothing I would bother criticising other than the delivery vehicle for the breakfast provision didn't come, so ended up with a very basic breakfast. Who cares, we managed to survive that first world problem.

Great location en-route to Italy from the north. Great for an early start through the Gotthard Tunnel. Beautiful surroundings and quiet street. Friendly staff, excellent beds and animal friendly hotel (travelling with 2 cats).

No tea or coffee facilities. Expensive for what we got in return.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing family room with loft bed for the kids. Very cozy and comfortable. The host was very kind and fun to chat with!

Good position for stopover travelling to Italy. Very nice, helpful staff.Basic room with basic essentials.

Typical Swiss wooden decor in room, bit like a sauna and nearly as hot, no AC but I knew that b4 booking. Pricey for what it was but any alternatives were way more expensive.

Practical location

Room on the 3rd floor without lift, the TV did not work, breakfast quite basic, very slow service in the restaurant

Friendly host location and value

A little stuff on the top floor rooms and the clock tower goes off every fifteen minutes...only a problem with the windows open

It's an ok hotel and not far away from skiing location.

The hotel is next to the church. The bells ring every 15 minutes throughout the night and for 10 min at 5 am. And it is LOUD. If you are a relatively light sleeper, consider it an absolute no go. Worst night ever. Plus the beds are not comfortable, with no proper mattress.

We spontaneously decided to stay at this hotel to be near Andermatt to go up in the morning to ski. Andermatt was fairly full and expensive. The hotel was very good value for money and it was only 15 mins drive to Andermatt.Large room with nice view over the mountain. Nice breakfast. Welcoming staff.

We arrived around 7pm and the only open place to eat nearby was 5 mins by car but it was full. It wasn’t a big deal as we drove to Andermatt instead where there was plenty of choice. May not be ideal if you are moving by train/public transport.

The communication with the hotel was good even if once there the person didn’t speak English. The family room is big enough.

Even if the room seemed clean the bedsheets had huge stains on it. To add, the bedsheets were dark so there were probably even dirtier than what was visible. For a room without amenities at that price I would expect at least a clean bed.

The staff were friendly and accomodating to us. They were flexible with check in times, allowing us to use their extra facilities and the owner Oliver drove me to Andermatt at 5 am in his van because the public transport had not started for the day.
