Staff was very friendly and accommodating, always making conversation. The food was also great with a fairly filling breakfast.

The staff were very friendly. The location was very nice. The hotel felt like a ski resort - in a good way. The food at breakfast was fantastic!! In particular, the croissants were the best I have ever had!! Note: Our particular hotel room had very low ceilings, which could be an issue for tall people.

The staff was very friendly. The bed were comfortable The food was really good. And at breakfast we were greeted by a friendly puppy and we loved staying here.

The staff is extremely friendly, the facilities are cozy and clean, the views are great and it has an easy access from Andermatt either by car or by public transport. Highly recommended.

Lots of work men sitting around outside. Breakfast was functional and acceptable, but workmen seem to take rolls from the buffet to have later, which meant baskets empty. Also no hot options for breakfast (but work men somehow got bacon in their rolls??)

Breakfast is great, the host is so welcoming and friendly. Free parking is also available.

A bit difficult to get to if you are not driving, but you definitely won't regret for the stay.

Pillow too flat for us

The warm welcome, the location, the food, both at dinner and breakfast. Beds were great too. We will be back next year for sure.

Single room with big TV screen and washer inside. the restaurant in the hotel also allow for a nice dinner if you do not want to move. Breakfast was good.

Charming hotel and restaurant with exceptional food. My room was clean and comfortable, and staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is ideal for exploring the Gotthard Pass and its incredible railways.

Low ceilings made me watch my head!

It is near the Gotthardtunnel, mountain passes Susten, Furka, Oberalp and San Gottardo. Free parking and staff was good

My bed was little bit the soft, I prefer a hard mattress but that is pure my own choice.

Noise of the toilet during the night (our room was next to the common toilet).

This was a halfway stopping point between Italy and Germany. It was a convenient place to stop right after the Gottardo Tunnel. It was easy to find. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived after 8:30 pm, when the kitchen closed, so we missed dinner, but they made us a lovely sandwich and served us some beer. There was a lovely patio terrace with a nice view. The breakfast was served in the updated modern restaurant.

Be aware that if you arrive after 8:30 pm there is no other place to eat in the area. If you are a tall person (188 cm/6’2”) be aware that the ceiling of our room was so low that my husband only cleared it by a centimeter or so. Anyone over that height will not be very comfortable. We were surprised that despite being an old wooden building, there was no smoke detector in the room.

Asked for a twin room and got a double bed, Asked them and was told it’s two mattresses on one bed so that’s two singles.. (I quote what the owner said “it’s a bed and not sleeping outside)
