- We stayed here for New Years Eve and I chose this hotel and paid extra because it advertised 2 restaurants within the hotel. I was looking forward to a nice meal and a few drinks at the bar all under the same roof. As it was New Years Eve there was only one option and the evening meal was offered at €80 per head. This should have been mentioned when booking as we were not prepared to pay this price. The menu was fixed and so basically no choice and due to being on chemo there was nothing that appealed to a chemo belly. Having called several restaurants within walking distance it appeared all were closed and we ended up having to drive to the next town. Once we returned at 9.30pm we had to watch TV in our room as the bar was closed to guests that had not paid for dinner! The most disappointing New Years Eve ever.

The two sisters running the hotel were very welcoming, going out of their way to look after us. It was out of season and I think we were the only guests. Nevertheless they opened up the games/TV room in the annex for us and served us a wonderful 3 course dinner with wine and coffee for a very reasonable price (also providing vegetarian options for one of our party). The hotel is beautifully positioned by the river, in the centre of the village, with hot springs bubbling up in the public gardens opposite.
The hosts were wonderful. The good delicious. And the hotel is right across the plaza from the hot springs spa. What more could you ask for?

The hotel was lovely and the staff and the location.

Best location for Thermal Baths. Traditional warm Portuguese hospitality - home from home, meals and comfort. Will stay again.
All that was missing was perhaps a pool and outdoor relaxation area although their is a patio outside of the dining room
great location, great food, friendly staff
We stayed for a week at this wonderful hotel. The management and staff went out of their way to accomodate all our wishes. Breakfast (included), lunch and dinner was exceptionally good. Free parking on location. Located first row along river and in the center of Sao Pedro do Sul Thermas. We already booked our next one week stay at this hotel for our next vaction in the area.
We like evererything about this hotel. Cannot find anything to criticize. You will love this hotel.
The breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location was Central to thermals. Room was spacious and well equipped. Great buffet breakfast with fresh fruits and continental selection
Owners, location, lovely view from the window, free of charge parking right next to the hotel, type of two different pillows (a hard and a soft one) on the bed, bathrobes in the room. There even was a weighing scale in the bathroom!
The fact that one has to pay for coffee / tea in the room for 0,50€ was just unheard and unpleasant to discover. Especially having in mind that we even didn't have breakfast as we woke up too late. In addition to that, some information about the nearbouts was missing.
Staff were so friendly, exceptional warm welcome. The location of this property we found to be the best of all in sao de pedro do sul. Lovely views in the heart of town. Traditional decor that is kept extremely well. Our room had, fridge, tv , phone, hairdryer large bed and AC. The room was also spotless clean. This hotel has the most charming out door dining area it's a shame it does not promote food on a higher standard. It has so much potential. We at least had a drink sitting out over looking the river which was lovely.
The breakfast was the only let down. We booked 3 night but chose not to eat there after the 1st morning because it was not good, BUT , there is an excellent cafe maybe 200m with lots of choice and very cheap. We only paid 70e per night for 2 adults at the hotel which is so cheap we honestly did not care if we didn't eat breakfast there.
We loved everything. From the great and very profissional welcome to the the last detail. Historical property run by three lovely sisters who provide you an authentic experience of portuguese hospitality, that is sometimes hard to find in a fastfood tourism world.I very much recommend this familiar and cosy hotel for its great location and beauty and quality of the staff and services. Room 17 was excelent, great mattress for our sored backs, hot water with great pressure in the shower and an amazing view to the Vouga river. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was excellent. I simpley adored talking a bit with those amazing ladies. One of them told me the history of the hotel and one took me on a "guided tour" to see some old postecards and photos. Thank you so much, we had a great time and you three are definitely ambassadors of portuguese heritage, that we need so much to protect and share.
Hairdryer needs update.
Lovely staff, location, food, rooms and view of the river.
We loved everything about this hotel and will definitely go back. The owners and staff went well beyond the call of duty to accommodate us. The room was confortable and clean, the food excellent, the location perfect. Old world charm at its best!
Everything was perfect!
Quiet, clean, great location.
The breakfast was great despite the boring Covid Protocols and was not being served inside sickness bag as many places are serving.
The hot water at the shower stopped a little while. Made my partner so pissed off but somehow started to work again.
Very nice
