Hotel The Originals Château de Perigny

Pros +

• Beautiful garden & huge potential.
• Because the Chateau has a historical significance, it is nice to stay here once. The bed is fine and the breakfast has sufficient basic choice. Park around chteau is nice and enough parking space.
• Good quiet location for an overnight stay off the motorway, Food in restaurant very good , breakfast not bad . Nice view from room , which was clean & warm . Staff pleasant.

Cons -

• We stayed in the 'chateau' which looked exciting from the outside but was very dated inside. The carpets in the communal areas were smelly & dirty, the decor is dated & not maintained well. The staff (including the owners) were succinct but not very warm or welcoming; we felt like more of an inconvenience than guests
• The room (bathroom) is not (too) large and more importantly not 100% clean (a stray hair here and there). In addition, the rooms in the chateau could use some minor renovations, so that they still look their best despite their age. The chateau is indeed quite noisy, but as soon as everyone is in bed it is, partly due to the serene surroundings, very quiet. Overall the price is at roughly 30% on the high side.
• Room very basic , towels thin & tiny , only 1 mirror , no headboard , hallway dark & dreary . Reception lounge a bit tired , not a lot of atmosphere.
