The breakfast
Very friendly and welcoming hosts. A fantastic breakfast and superb views from the terrace.
Perfect location, clean, great view.
Breakfast would need to be improved
I loved the view; we had a panoramic view of the ocean. The owner is very sweet and accommodating when we had an issue. We loved how everything was close by; Plakias is about a 10 minute drive and there are restaurants right under the hotel (5 minute walk). The WiFi is very fast. My husband and I had 3 devices connected to the WiFi. Breakfast was nice and simple ; they offered eggs, spinach pie, sausage, pastries, fruit, yogurt, sweet, pastries, cereal, and a variety of different coffees to choose from a machine.
Nothing regarding dislike however it’s on a hill so keep in mind when needing to walk around and park.
Great people, great accomodation, great food. We will return :)
Bathroom okay
The staff was super friendly and the room was comfortable with a private pool and an amazing view from the terrasse! We highly recommend this place :)
The location is stunning, the rooms and views surpassed my expectations and are even better in the flesh. It was so peaceful and the building is just stunning. We had the pool to ourselves most days and everything just felt like paradise.
It would’ve been nice to have a toaster in the room and to have been offered pool towels.
The view. Very quiet.
The pictures of the superior suite we specifically chose on booking didn’t correspond to the very basic room we got. If we wanted the one we chose, we had to pay a supplement. Overall, the hotel is a bit run down.
Excellent location with a great view over the bay.Very friendly staff, everything well maintained and clean. We had the apartment with jacuzzi on the terrace. Would book it again anytime!
The staff and the owner are very friendly. The view is incredible, the hotel is very quiet.I would definitely come-back ?
The rooms are immaculate and nicely furnished with exposed wood beams and french windows, and both the room and our private patio were comfortable with grand views. The hotel has a beautiful forever pool, and bar, and in the morning puts out a fine breakfast spread featuring a broad array of Cretan delicacies, we thought a good value (a charge was incurred for this.) Myrthios is known for several excellent restaurants which did not disappoint, and is an excellent base to exploring the southern Cretan coast around Plakias, which is an easy one mile hike down the hill. Our host Bellisario(sp?) was most helpful in everything including excursion ideas.
The breakfast bar was not available until 8 AM, a little late for us, since it gets light quite early.
The view was indeed stunning, however not worth almost 200 per night just for that
We recently stayed at this hotel, paying almost €200 per night, and it was way too much for the value we received. The hotel claims to have 4 stars, but the room we got was completely outdated. The beds were hard, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The kitchen was not equipped at all, and the bathroom had a smelly toilet, which was very unpleasant.Breakfast was very disappointing. The only thing we could eat was the Greek yoghurt. They promised croissants, but we received the smallest, hardest croissant ever, which was practically inedible. While the view from the pool was definitely nice, the sunbeds were falling appart. The staff did not make any effort to make us feel welcome. When we left, they didn't even ask how our stay was or engage in any small talk.Additionally, parking is not included in the price; they charge €6 per day extra. This is perplexing, considering there are plenty of free spaces in front of the hotel and throughout the entire city. For half the price and a 2-3 star rating, I would have said fair enough. But for the amount of money we paid, it was definitely not worth it. I would not recommend this hotel unless they significantly improve their facilities and service.
Clean , friendly , good breakfast amazing view
I don’t know where to begin in describing what we LOVED about the property. The location in Myrthios is absolutely breathtaking. Our apartment had a wonderful veranda with an unobstructed view of the beach below, in Plakias. We chose to eat on the veranda as we believed this location rivalled any other seaside restaurants in town. The room was spotless and had every amenity that we required. The pool area was absolutely stunning with gorgeous views of the town of Plakias and beaches below. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We could not have asked for a more fabulous place to stay. This was our first time visiting the Plakias/Myrthios area and we will surely return to Stefanos Village. It has been the highlight of our vacation in Greece. We really enjoyed its proximity to many wonderful beaches and for those who love adventure, it is close to the Kourtaliotiko gorge and waterfall - a definite must- see. In summary, this was certainly an unexpected but very welcomed paradise that is so much more lovely in person.
Everything was wonderful!!!
Loved the infinity pool , the views , and the village
Stefanos is a beautiful medium sized modern hotel complex, built in greek style up on the slopes overlooking Plakias Bay, with great views but quit location. Spacious apartment with all what is needed, including seaview, spacious balcony (with private hot spa), very friendly staff, good breakfast buffet and also nice infinity pool (for which it was too cold and windy during our stay, but is awesome).
Incredible view, quiet location, friendly staff, nice, well equipped room.
We didn't stay more night. ?
This hotel lives from its location. It is quiet and the view is certainly fantastic.
When I think back, the first thing that comes to mind is the dirty T-shirt that one of the waitresses wore at the breakfast buffet on several days. That was violent on an empty stomach. The breakfast itself was mediocre at best (rotten fried eggs, bad coffee). We had already problems before we arrived because the hotel could not process secure credit card transactions. When we arrived, we initially got a worse room than booked. When the wind was stronger, there was a draught through the cracks of windows and doors like in a bird house. Parking and bath towels were only available for an extra charge. It was not possible to get a second room key.
