Hotel Hulsman

Cozy old building in the heart of the old town. In December there was quite warm inside the room, even with the heater on 2 and even despite that windows have only single glazing. Perfect location to quickly reach all sights of Valkenburg.The breakfast is good.The shower is clean and comfortable with a good faucet and fine water pressure.The room decoration is nice, and it also has a safe locker there.

There is no wall sockets near to the bed’s headboard, so you cant use your phone while falling asleep and charge it at the same time.The bed is too small and not too comfy, the pillow could be better.The room is quite small as well, not enough space to sit together for two people.

Breakfast - rich, a lot of variety.Beds - nice and supportive, medium hard.Bathroom - clean.Nicely located in the city centre.

Rooms - extremely dusty.If you are a light sleeper, it is good to know that this is an old wooden building, so you could hear people walking and talking everywhere.

The breakfast was nice e and plentiful, the location was central.

The pillows were uncomfortable, the room was tiny, the bathroom even smaller.

Very central hotel and lovely room. Safe place to store our bikes and a great welcome at reception. Breakfast very nice and plentiful.

Great breakfast. All clean and well kept in the hotel. The hotel is placed in the center of the town.

The room was icecold when we arrived. Heating was turned off, but we could switch it on. No heating at all in the bathroom. A bit strange also, we reach out to the hotel when booking in english, but receive the reply in dutch.

Localisation

There was a lot of dust in the room, I had a runny nose and sneezed all night, which made it impossible to sleep. In addition, the walls are so thin that you could hear all the conversations of other guests, which was very disturbing to rest

The location was perfect. Close to restaurants shops transport and attractions. The breakfast was very good, my room was idea. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Valkenburg is a great place to visit.

There were only two plugs in the whole accomodation, one in the bathroom and one in the room self. Nothing by the bedside. To turn off the TV, you had to get out of bed(half asleep). And the bed mattress was a bit too soft for my liking, but that's a personal preference

Checkin was very quick and easy. I rented a single room that had only a twin bed. This is ideal if you are planning a training weekend of cycling or running and traveling solo. Room was very clean and it was nice to be able to get to the hotel and settled in quickly. The location was great since it was a short walk from the restaurants in the city center but far enough away that it was still quiet and comfortable.

This room was a single so I'm not sure if this applies to all rooms, but the shower and toilet are not separated and this meant water getting all over the area around the toilet. The room was a bit on the cool side and I could hear other guests in the hotel quite easily. I still enjoyed my stay and would come back so these are minor concerns.

It was a great stay! Right in the city centre, close to restaurants and main attractions. The breakfast was amazing! Best scrambled eggs we have had in a hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again!

Powerful shower. The decor is clean and modern with a small bar. The breakfast is simple, but adequate. All the staff were very helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to use it again if we were in Valkenburg.

Only problem which may be an issue for some people was the room was a little cold even with the radiator on full, (it was about 6c outside at night), but that wasn’t really a problem for me personally.
