Hôtel Les Genêts Bayonne

We were breaking up our journey down into Spain and this seemed like a great little stop as it didn't take too far off the main road. Loads of parking, lovely restaurant with fabulous staff breakfast was top notch too. My husband paticularly liked the art installations (in pictures) lol

Booked in for bed, breakfast and evening meal but when we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed. Having driven seven hours to get there and being New Years Eve we were stuck for food except for a microwave plated meal which we had to do ourselves. Not knowing how long it had been sat there we declined. However we have just received a refund for the meal after four weeks.

Cheap. Clean friendly and quiet

Shower isn't perfect. But that's a minor thing. All was wet. En the shower head kept going up.

Breakfast nice coffe muesli yougurt fresh fruits baguets quality butter jams charcuteries juice milk all I like for breakfast. Room was comfortable even I am not short and slime . Bathroom clean and nicely decorated with fresh see beach motive feeling refreshing once taking a bath.

I did not like to leave , I even did ask personnel to advice nice places to see so I wanted to remember place more and better to come again. There are really nice spots to relax and explore around.

Our room was very small, we paid extra as had a pet and it was a really small room for 2 adults, luggage and a pet.There was no kettle in the room or drink making facilities - the paid coffee machine in the reception was not working.The TV was very basic and only had a few English speaking channels.There was a nice restaurant on site but pricey.The hotel was ok but we wouldn't stay again

It is dog friendly and the staff are always friendly and helpful. It is also very convenient for driving into Biarritz.

More charge points in the room would be great, but still live to stay there and will continue to do so

Value for money, no restaurant at weekends and alternatives difficult to find in town. Ended up in a burger king

Really small room. Tiny bathroom. No plugs near the beds.

Convenient place to stop between france/spain off the ferry/tunnel. I always stay here, clean, comfy and good breakfast. Good value for money.

Not a lot aside from the location being close to the toll road.

The 1st room we were allocated had a very unpleasant smell so we immediately requested a room change. The next room did not have the unpleasant smell. However it was very small, beds uncomfortable, generally not very clean. Overall not very nice all round.

The location is great as it is right next to the highway and the entrance is very easy to walk in. The girl at the counter was super friendly

Slightly small but comfortable and convenient for us and surely was clean

No restaurant. Hotel closed at night, no staff present. Room smelt damp. Only 2 power sockets.

Breakfast was excellent, good selection for continental breakfast, scrambled eggs were delicious. Also parking facilities good.

Bed was too hard for my liking, bathroom had a bath/ shower but very difficult to access. Also didn't have lift so it was difficult with luggage.

Nothing. Terrible location. Was very heavy traffic to get in. Very small room . Very small bathroom with questionable decor on the wall and in shower ( hairy and bloody man’s hand. The hairdryer very large and it positioned impeded access to the toilet. Just terrible.
