Campanile NATURE - Bayonne

Very convenient location, nice restaurant, good selection of food

The campanile hotel was dirty, the food was disgusting and the price was outrageous for the value. It was the most terrible hotel I have stayed in. Shame!

Everything, except the coffee

Reasonable rate, decent breakfast and no fuss in good location.

Rooms need refurbishing, mattresses uncomfortable.

Location great for overnight stop en route to Spain travelling with dogs

Needs a deep clean - there was an unpleasant smell when we first went in the room which I think was caused by wet carpets from the recent rain. Could do with painting too.

Although this was a return visit, I had forgotten how noisy the immediately adjacent road and roundabout was. Future visits will include earplugs. ?

Great all rounder hotel/motel. Good to park right outside room. Dog friendly ( but not in restaurant), did dinner, bed & breakfast option which was excellent value. Dinner we can highly recommend. Good breakfast. Just off motorway.

No hand towels, the towel rail was wobbly but looked like it was used as a support getting out of bathtub. Needed a handrail support. No plug, but got one from reception, plug hole cleaning had been missed but everywhere else very clean.

Great room in a great location just of the main travel network. Good parking, friendly staff and decent room facilities. Really lovely continental style breakfast.

The room was a little warm but I'd rather than than too cold.

It was dirty, cigarette hole in curtain, air conditioning not working, could hear the family next door because it had an adjoins door. Flooring was scuffed, broken and chipped. Stains on carpet. Dirty marks on the wood by doors. Worst room I have ever stayed in and it was expensive.

The staff were kind and friendly

The lack of cleaningless in the bedroom. It smelled like smoke and the breakfast was a little bit poor.

We have mobility issues and the hotel provided an excellent room which catered for our needs.

We have used this hotel for a number of times over the past few years. The menu in the restaurant hasn't changed in all the times we've been there. It has no real vegetarian choices. There used to be be a buffet which had a good selection of salads but doesn't seem to be available anymore when we visit.

I have used Campanile hotels on many occasions. I noted that this outlet had received some low scores. I liked the easy access straight off the main road. The evening meal and breakfast were as good as any other Campanile hotels I have used which is good food at a fair price. I liked the newly appointed bathrooms and the welcome made by hotel reception. I always enjoy a 1/2 pitcher of Rose and this was no exception. I would certainly stay here again

The restaurant / reception area is very smart but the bedroom block is looking a little tired on the outside. This may put some prospective clients off however, my overall experience was very good.

The location was fantastic,we had dogs and there were lovely walks around the location

We had checked ahead that the restaurant would be open , on arrival we were told it was booked for a function !!!! , we directed to a local KFC ,not what we wanted through while travelling France . An email to tell us in advance of the function would have meant we stopped to eat somewhere nicer . I use Campaniles a lot and find that the restaurant can be closed or booked out ,this is not ideal in your opinion

The location is convenient for the main route, so useful for a stopover driving from Spain to England. My wife and I have stayed overnight at this property on a number of occasions in the past.

The room smelled smokey and dirty. We were accompanied by our dog so did mention this when we booked, but did expect the room to be cleaner, especially when there is a surcharge for pets. The room appeared very run down and it would possibly be a better idea not to have carpets in rooms that pets frequent.As mentioned previously I have used this establishment several times in the past but would probably not do so again in the future.

Secure Parking. Easy to find. Staff were very helpful. Food was very good and reasonably priced although not a huge choice but plenty for us. Great aircon. Clean rooms and given the location it was very quiet. If you are using this as a stop over before onward travel, I would suggest you take some time to explore the beautiful town of Bayonne.

First impressions with all the shutters closed it looked a little run down, however they served a purpose and helped keep the room cool.
