ibis Bayonne Centre

The staff at this Ibis hotel were very kind and helpful, one gentlemen even gave me a good recommendation for a restaurant that serves bœuf bourguignon. The breakfast was a very good value. The location in the Saint Esprit quartier was excellent as it was quieter than other areas of Bayonne. Also, the air conditioning worked great.

The things that I wish the hotel room had were: an in-room coffee maker, a refrigerator, a microwave and a water glass (there were two paper cups in the room, but they were pretty flimsy.)

Took as a little time to spot the parking and how to fget in - some more detailed instructions would have helped.

The breakfast offering is a good, especially if you need an early start because the food is available from around 6am. Secure car park is a great reason to stay if you have personal belongings in the car overnight. proximity to the city centre is ideal, provided you don't mind a 10 minute walk! I have booked up for our return journey from Portugal back to the UK.

Paying for parking is not good.The beds we slept in were very hard and uncomfortable, we have stayed here a few times, the beds in December were ok, this time awful, too uncomfortable to get a restful sleep, or any sleep. Since this is the reason you go to a hotel, it makes a nonsense of the rest, no matter how good it is.We cancelled our reservation for March.

Good location by river, comfortable bed & good onsite parking.

No food available & only one restaurant open that side of the river. The Indian restaurant was fine & of course busy.

Within 15 mins of train station and only a slightly longer walk to get to petit bayonne and old bayonne, so plenty of eating snd drinking places nesrby. Very good breakfast. Good shower, plenty of power points and storage

The bedroom was a little smaller than I usually remember Ibis to be, but did the job.

As expected for a one night stopover whilst travelling. Room very small but adequate for quick stay. Were able to park our rental vehicle behind the building in the next street. Secure and locked.

Friendly staff on check in who didn’t mind filling my thermos with hot water. The room was warm and comfortable with a quality hot shower. Excellent location across the river from the historic town centre with a short walk to access. Street parking is available avoiding the need to pay to park at the hotel.

Breakfast had good variety compared to other In is hotels. Staff very obliging and helpful always.

Location left a long-time walk into town of taxi if raining. Conversely, access out often commensurate easier.

I arrived very late and front desk person was incredibly helpful in offering me food and wine, breakfast was amazing.

For travellers without a car the location is a little far from the station and city centre.

The rate advertised on the sign outside was less than what I paid online. That is always annoying.

Staff were helpful, room was confortable, albeit very small. The breakfast was good.

Shower gel container was empty in the shower cubicle.
