The staff were absolutely wonderful—kind, polite, and always ready to help. They made us feel truly welcome, often addressing us by name and engaging daily with our 3-year-old daughter, making her feel special and loved. The beach was always clean, the pools were kept at a very comfortable temperature, and the overall atmosphere of the resort felt warm and family-friendly.

Some facilities showed signs of wear and needed better maintenance, especially at the aqua park and main pool. The kids’ play areas were limited, with inflatables not always convenient to use and no traditional playgrounds. The food was good but sometimes repetitive at breakfast and lunch. Our room was clean but a bit outdated, lacked privacy, and the TV only offered basic satellite channels without streaming options.

Very family friendly, staff was excellent and the pools and waterpark provided hours of entertainment

Beautiful beach and very nice pool area.Friendly staff and excellent food choices at the main restaurants. Alll other restaurats on site are outstanding!

Bungalow rooms are outdated and should be refurnished. Standard far below expectation in this price class.

It was our second time at this resort. The main competitive advantage in my opinion is the beach. It is a sandy, clean and very large beach with transparent and clean water. It is even better when the weather is nice, it can become like a big natural pool. However, it’s important to be cautious as it’s the kind of beach that gives you impression of safety as it is shallow so perfect for kids, but when it gets windy, the current can be quite strong and exiting from the sea could be sometimes challenging. The buffet is good, clean but not exceptional. The ingredients are fresh, never had any problem with the food, but they need to improve more on variety and taste. Food at restaurants is better (Hot stone, Asiana, Trattoria) but they need to be booked one week prior to arrival if you want to be sure to secure a spot. Otherwise, the risk is to have no spot available by the time you arrive there. Also, there are many pools, a water park, many activities and they improved a lot on the range of activities and animation they offer which is great given that the location of the resort is quite far from any big city so entertainment is key to keep the guests happy.

I didn’t like the wasps, they have too many wasps outdoor and it gets very annoying when you eat outside on terraces or even at the beach. I feel the property underestimates the impact of this issue on the well-being of the guests, so we didn’t feel there was an effort to address this issue. But, I haven’t been stung once, they don’t seem to be aggressive but they are very sticky. So we were always having food indoor and not outdoor (which is a shame because they have magnificent sea views) except for dinner where this is not an issue anymore. Also, the facilities are too outdated, and there was no A/C in main hall and elevator. We feel that the management relies on its core strengths mainly related to location, beach, greenery but with no investment on the furniture, bedding…so the feel aesthetically is very basic…the feeling is more of a family holiday village but definitely not a 5 star family resort. The potential of this resort is phenomenal but it doesn’t seem to be part of the investment plan of Grecotel. But they have a wonderful beach and sea views, that is undeniable.

The location. The beach is very nice and the sunset amazing. Food.

Needs some investment to renovate the facilities.

Excellent hotel - fantastic facilities for the family! Kids had so much fun. Beautiful beach. Great food in the specialty restaurants.

Rooms a bit basic - could be better with redecorating. Pool was too crowded - they need one more pool for adults.

    The aquapark

Huge health hazard. Plates, glasses (at the beach bar) and cutlery dirty. Bed mattress and pillow (although the hotel changes sheets) when we took them out there were dusty. When we stayed a kid nearly drawn (the life guards did not know they have to call the ambulance - having said that the ambulance is 1h away so no chance of survival if they perform CPR). The personnel at the reception do not know the hotel - if you ask for directions they tell you to download the Grecotel application - you cannot locate the various facilities from the hotel map - you ate on your own. They have some stupid rules that you cannot enter the restaurant even if it is empty unless somebody takes you to a table. If you order a coffee in the morning from the serving personal it can take 1/2h or more to receive it. Unless you speak greek (they have special treatment) you are treated as a ‘second class tourist’. I’ve stayed in Grecotel Luxme in Corfu. The one in Corfu is a ‘10’. The way this hotel is run I could give it with indulgence a ‘7’. BUT if you care for your health or life avoid it.PS Following Mr. Traskas comment I feel the urge to add some additional information. When the kid was offered CPR NOBODY from the hotel called the Ambulance (most probably they did not know they have to do it) - I called the reception and told to the receptionist to call it. Maybe you have trained your staff meanwhile and you brought some new as you mentioned me. I mentioned you several times that cutlery and plates are not washed properly and you said 'nobody got sick since the beginning of the season'. As if not the fact that the plates are dirty is important, but the fact that you have not heard that somebody had food poisoning. In the main restaurant I could smell a few times what the previous person ate or even see it on the cutlery.... Also the glasses at the beach bar are not properly cleaned. And the things could go on and on...

    Really liked activities and location

Buffet could be better and the way food is stored. Flies and bugs and birds around food, not sanitary. My wife found a fly in her food. Its really a pitty since everything else was really Good

Staff were great Restaurants were lovely - we weren’t at peak time and had no real difficulty getting booked in. All the facilities were great. Access to water park amazing. Watched so many beautiful sunsets at the beach bar.

Stairs made it difficult to navigate with a toddler. If you are travelling with a child or someone with a disability - I would request a room on the floor of reception. There is wheelchair access around the hotel but not to the hotel rooms.

The Greek sea and the beach in front of the hotel

Being advertised as a family resort among other things, there was no accessibility- stroller accessibility- come on, you don’t need to build a complete new infrastructure, just add some ramps on the existing stairs- it will cost because the stairs are endless but still worth the effort. There were elevators at some points of course but, how unfortunate, they had voltage issues due to local electricity problems and they did not work for security reasons. The amount of stairs with the lack of ramps made me feel that this was a social experiment and I could not believe how this hotel still functions.Except for the lack of accessibility, the hotel is old and does not justify the price AT ALL. Old broken furniture, dirt that shows the rooms have not been cleaned, for instance dead insects on the walls, bird poop and nests on the balcony that you are supposed to sit or even dry your clothes and floors that have not been properly washed the last 3-4 years at least.Don’t get me started on how amateur the personnel has been at all levels. I understand that young people work for the summer season because life is not easy but they need to have a slight idea of how a hospitality business should work. Shouting at each other, fighting and cursing, commenting on our orders with each other in front of me (the tip is if you end up there and speak Greek- do not speak Greek with them, you will listen to all the things they call you because they think you are xenos). Breakfast starting at 7:30 - doors forgotten and locked until 08:00 and coffee machines not working. You would think someone from the personnel would notice. Spoiler alert, no. And that is one of the plethora of examples. The person that hands over the towels- he needs a separate chapter himself - he didn’t want to give us towels because he was expecting arrivals during the day. We were also arrivals but it does not matter I guess.

Room was old and worn out for a 5 star hotel. cockroaches appeared now and then,

While a lot of choices for breakfast, the quality was not exceptional. However, the staff and dining room manager (Vasili, I think was his name), were amazing!

There was nothing we didn't like. We loved the Italian restaurant and were disappointed that the Asian one was full. Didn't realize we needed to book in advance!

    10AnastasiaPosted on: 9-3-2024

The personnel was amazing. They made us feel so special, they were all incredibly polite and very accommodating. Whatever we asked for we had. The food was amazing, especially at the ala cart places and there were amazing activities for kids. Also the water park was amazing for everyone in the family. All in all we would love to go next year!

The only negative I could find is that when it rained heavily (we are talking about extreme rain, thunderstorm) there was some water that went into our room. Having said that though the cleaning service came very quickly and cleaned everything up without us having to call them

Excellent hospitality, staff is really caring and polite. Location is amazing, hotel is clean and well maintained, very good variety of greek and international cuisine and lots of activities
