Sami Beach Hotel

We stayed at this hotel 20 years ago and totally enjoyed it. Now 20 years later our stay was better than. The staff and Dorizas family make every guest feel like family. Remodel is beautiful, breakfast excellent. Beach and pool very relaxing. Our only regret is that we only stayed 2 nights. Hopefully we will go back to Kefalonia and our stay will be longer. Can't say enough about this hotel. If you ever go to Kefalonia you must stay here. Great location on the island.Thank you Dorizas family. Brandt family for USA will be back. Sas efcharisto gia ola

Clean, well kept and a wonderful view of the beach

The hotel was beautifully decorated with a charming Greek beach vibe. Everything was clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.The staff were very helpful and accommodating—we had to check out before breakfast, and they kindly arranged a take-away meal for us. The food during our stay was fabulous.The location is convenient: a short walk to nearby restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, and bus stops. It’s about 1.5 km to the town center and 2 km to the ferry port. The photos online are accurate and reflect the space exactly. I think the best part of the hotel is that it has a beautiful pool with the beach right there in front of you to easily use both for swimming.Check-in and check-out were smooth, and both the Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked flawlessly. While the hotel is a bit on the pricey side, the overall experience was excellent, and I would definitely recommend it.

You can hear a bit from the neighboring rooms via the bathroom, but it wasn’t enough to be distracting or bothersome.

We enjoyed everything about our stay the Sami Beach Hotel. The hospitality was outstanding, they went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent experience. From early check in, great recommendations, car service, and use of facilities after check out. We will absolutely be back but for longer next time.

Loved my stay there! Great location (easy to explore the island, restaurants in walking distance), friendly staff, nice vibe. Mostly seniors and young families, so the atmosphere is very calm. Hotel bar was nice too! Absolutely recommended stay on Kefalonia

3 suggestions to make it even better in the future: 1) Installation of doors or thick curtains between the bedroom and the room's foyer as to reduce the noise coming from the hallway, 2) a bottle of water in the room after arrival, 3) a moscito net with magnetic open/close mechanism to the balcony (although this might wear out too quickly in a hotel, not sure)

Great location right on the water, a little out of the town of Sami but easy/pleasant walking distance to town. Family owned very friendly and lots of return guests. Buffet breakfast was great, bar staff were great and nice pool area

The beach !! rocks rather than sand, but that is not the fault of the hotel owners, that's nature..... Nothing specifically comes to mind that we didn't like

There wasn't bike hire or paddleboards. After nagging frequently they got out an old kayak which gave me two days when I could do sonething from the hotel.They only had one kayak which was huge as it was for two people. The sea water was cold as the hotel is located between a huge underwater spring outlet and rivers from the mountains. Felt cut off from town. 20 Mon walk from bike hire,boat cruises and mini market. 15 min from start of choice of restaurants. I am a quick walker, passing everyone as I sprint along. I didn't like the fact I had to walk in the dark frequently after food. Basically I booked the hotel to learn to paddleboard, to kayak and go off discovering on a bike. Bike hire was at least a 20 min walk x 2 that's 40 , 45 mins walk at 35 Euros a day for an electric bike chosen as everywhere is mountainous.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful, fab location on the seafront. The hotel is well equipped and clean. Good choice at breakfast. Plenty of sun beds both in the gardens and on the beach, large car park.

Lovely deep pool. Ample sun loungers. Situated on the beach. Short walk on the flat into the village with its plentiful restaurants. Rooms had balcony. Outside bar open until late. Fridge and kettle in room. Front desk staff were very helpful.

Kettle was provided but no tea, coffee or milk. No bottled water provided. A small bottle to start off your stay would be really appreciated. Particularly as there is no supermarket in the immediate vicinity. Bedrooms, although fine, lacked character.

Hard to find fault but only suggest maybe more fresh fruit at breakfast and a selection of fruit yogurts would be good

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. It is a well maintained resort hotel. We enjoyed spending time at the bar area. Would love to come back here again.

Lovely friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Very welcoming and the staff were so helpful.Loved the beachfront location and a short fifteen minute walk along the sea front into Sami.The owners have done a wonderful job of the decor, whilst retaining a traditional Greek island feel.

The variety of dishes for breakfast was great. The pool was a good size and kept clean. The beach was very near and a lovely sea to swim in. Nice to have drinks served to us when we were on the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Not sure if there were swimming towels that we could have used. It wasn't made clear.

The location was great, walk to town, great food around, highly recommend Karnagio, Adonis and Kaveramilou beach tavern, after 3...large variety for breakfast at hotel. Serves food and drinks to the pool area, food until 4, drinks all night. Family business which is cool, 3 generations. Mariani was the highlight. Puts the love in the place. The room was the best in the place, seaview and mountain view, quiet. Thank you.

There was no coffee tea or milk in room, only cups and kettle, why? Plus no glasses only small plastic cups. Didn't like the large groups of people around the pool and i didnt like smoking was allowed everywhere (except rooms), ashtrays everywhere, including near outside breakfast area and pool.We also didn't like that we could hear what the next room was doing, talking, peeing, flushing loo and banging doors. Thin walls...

The staff were great. Always happy and helpful. Especially the bar staff. Just a walk into Sami town and the Port.

Nothing really

The Garden suite where I stayed was lovely - very well equipped & comfortable with loads of space & a nice out door space with table & chairs & loungers. The staff were all very friendly, helpful & spoke excellent English. There was a great atmosphere throughout the whole resort which punches well above its 3 star rating. The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice & the grounds very well kept. We loved having the beach on the resort as well as the large pool. We stayed in early September so there were no children staying and it was quiet despite the hotel being full.

My friend staying in one of the mountain rooms at the back of the hotel did find the noise of a generator rather annoying at night time. It wouldn't put her off staying again but she would choose a sea facing or left hand side room another time.
