Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was clean.

The rooms, especially the bathrooms need updating badly. There’s only a partial glass shower door that swings both ways and water inevitably gets all over the floor. The tub is tall and there are no grab bars or anything else to hang onto while climbing in or out onto a very wet floor. For this reason alone I would not stay here again. The pool lounge chairs or at least cushions need replacing badly. They are faded, tattered, worn and torn. The pool bathrooms need maintenance. The assembly cover to flush the toilet fell off and door handles are very difficult to use. Both me and my husband had difficulty unlocking and opening the doors. Renovate the bathrooms and update pool deck furniture would be a huge improvement.

Location, staff, atmosphere

Breakfast was minimal unless you asked for something to be cooked for you liked eggs or omelettes

The hotel is well located with a beautiful view. Swimming pools are well positioned and large. The breakfast is ok, nothing fancy but nice. The staff is very nice.

Our stay was very noisy at night: dogs barking around the hotel all night and noisy roots early morning. Hard to sleep well

Very clean, staff incredibly friendly & cannot do enough for you! Lovely breakfast & food at the pool bar. Sunbeds very comfortable & never too busy!

Over bath showers in need of modernisation! Main pool & private pool very cold! Could do with heating!

The breakfast was so poor for 5 stars hotel ,,the hotel is more 3 stars hotel than 5 stars hotel,. We had only 1 bottle of water the first day.No milk for coffee ,they didnt refill bath room amenities such as shampoo ,shower gel ..The price is to high for the standard of the hotel.

We stayed for a few days and we loved the place.Our sea view room was spacious and spotlessly clean.Delicious food by the pool and at the main restaurantThe manager Helena and the staff were so frriendly and extremely helpful.Beautiful location - 10 min walk into Sami where there is plenty of choice of places to eat and drink.

Stayed here for 5 nights in July with family. Beautiful , well kept hotel. Clean, super friendly staff. Pool and pool bar are great. Central Location of hotel in Sami/karamolyvos is close to almost everything on the island. Grounds and rooms are meticulously maintained. Didn't get a chance to eat dinner in the hotel as we were always out, but the breakfast and pool menu were really good.Highly recommended

Small beach area , but better than not having a beach

The shower was poor for the calibre of hotel and room.

Felt like a retirement resort and we are middle aged and felt young!!! Breakfast is basic and no access to a decent beach frontage to swim

A stunning location right on the sea front. The hotel was spotless and the staff were extremely helpful and lovely. The food was excellent at breakfast and a nice snack bar/lunch by the pool bar. A nice evening meal when we ate there.

Shower wasn’t the best as was in a bath and was set quite low so sort of had to crouch under it.

Breakfast buffet was excellent and a high quality everyday. All the staff are super friendly and really helpful, very knowledgeable on the area and can help with local taxis, tours etc. Went out of their way to offer us two different rooms to choose from on arrival. Was fun that we could all share a room as friends in 3 separate beds.

I have no complaints.

The Ionian Emerald Resort was an incredible property that helped make our visit to Greece one of the best holidays we have experienced. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating throughout. They assisted with travel bookings and other requests and always had time no matter how small the inquiries were. The room was spacious and cleaned daily and the facilities were kept to a very high standard. The location of the resort looks over a beautiful ocean view with the beach just outside of the property. We could not recommend this property enough.

Facilities, meals, staff were excellent, especially the staff from Reception to Restaurant Staff and Pool Bar Staff.

Lovely helpful staff, who all went out of their way to ensure guests had a good time. Excellent bar and pool bar (good food at the pool bar) Very accommodating re. allowing us a late stay on the day of departure at no extra charge. Fantastic views from the terrace. Great omelettes for breakfast but best of all - the pool area. Quiet, plenty or room, comfortable sun beds and a gorgeous pool.

Glass bathroom doors. I would have preferred a solid door that you couldn’t see through.

A peaceful family run hotel on the seafront. The property was very clean and the staff helpful and friendly. Plenty of restaurants nearby within walking distance. There were always sun beds available and a friendly pool side bar

The hotel is very well located with a small beach just in front with sunbeds and umbrellas. The staff is helpful and the breakfast is very nice. Walking distance to Sami port by the see. Beach towels available. Rooms are well isolated, without noise.

The rooms were very clean, and each day, beds and towels were changed, as well the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel was replaced. However, the bathroom has a shower cabinet that was not properly cleaned with mold in the corners (something that can be quickly fixed with bleach).It could improve with a proper blackout for the windows.

Lovely modern and clean room. Towels were changed daily to my surprise and beds made. The pool was great, plenty of beds around although I did go at the end of August so perhaps less busy than at it’s peak. Kid friendly. The bar by the pool was great and had good food options. The Cocktails ? were delicious. Very happy with the buffet breakfast, had a variety of milk to choose from, lots of hot and cold options, fresh fruits and nuts, cereals and even the odd cake. Was a 20 minute walk along the beach front to get to Sami, which was pleasant. There is a mini mart opposite. Walkable to Lake Melissani, about 10-15 mins. For this side of the island it’s a convenient hotel for sure. Hotel reception were lovely. Was about 45 mins to/from the airport via taxi and cost €60.

Feel like the rooms might need some maintenance, our shower head bar was loose so could’ve done with being fixed, also there was a leak under the bath which caused a bit of a flood after showering. The gym showers only ran cold ? Would be nice if the hotel sold ice creams at the bar (although know they did offer ice cream bowls). Minor things which didn’t dampen my experience in the slightest.
