Where to start. Have been touring Europe for 2 weeks staying at some lovely ( and some not so lovely) locations but so far Hotel de l'Ange is my favourite. If you want fancy top end accommodation go to Dubai or somewhere else without sole. If you want to experience rural france at its finest this is it. Set In a beautiful village surrounded by vineyards this is rustic, historic and beautiful. Don't get me wrong rustic doesn't mean unclean it's spotless and charming. It is relaxing and 100% French. The hotel restraunt was closed on the day we arrived but Ange got us booked into the most amazing local French restraunt less than a minutes walk away. The bed was super comfortable and after a great meal and glass of the locally produced wine I slept like a baby. The shower in the morning was incredible then up for breakfast. I have read some reviews about the breakfast not being worth the money?? I don't get it. It had everything a continental breakfast should have. Fresh egg, Fresh breads, home made preserves, sweet, savouries, meats and cheeses. I wish I had booked this for at least another night or two I felt so relaxed after it. Loved this place so much.....oh did I mention great value for money

    Leaving?

The town looked great with all the vineyards, and so did the restaurant downstairs, although we did not have an opportunity to try it out.

The rooms were very small and our room was by the road. As it was summer, windows were open (no fans or A/C available), and the street noise was SO LOUD very early in the morning. Parking would have been pretty tricky in their parking lot as very small, and there is no lift, only stairs up to the 2nd floor which wasn't great for my elderly mother. Breakfast selection was minimal.

A lovely cosy hotel in the centre of a charming village, not as crowded as the neighbouring more famous ones. Wonderful atmosphere, lovely breakfast, extremely friendly hostess. Merci, Madame Wiss!

The glass door to the toilet and shower is right at bed headboard level, when one person goes to the toilet and switches on the light, it wakes the other person up.

It was in a very small quaint village and offered free car parking close by.

We were up two flights of stairs which is difficult with luggage

Nice hotel in the quiet Alsatian village surrounded by vineyards. Welcoming and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Restaurants in village with limited opening hours, but Turckheim accessible by walk 3,5 km or car, Colmar by car or Uber (22 Eur). Room with simple but sufficient equipment. Free parking 50 m from hotel.

    nothing important

Easy to find and very kindly opened the garage for my motorcycle. Nice room, lovely comfortable bed and a great hot shower. Just the jobHad an amazing meal in the restaurant. Just fantastic. The menu was brilliant, food outstanding and the restaurant owners had a fantastic laugh with me after. I will definitely come and see them again

    Charming old building

Bathroom door is sliding and certain smells end up in the bedroom as no extractor fan is installed.

The very friendly manager immediately told me where I could park my electric motorcycle and then recharge its battery. Our room was pleasant, quiet, clean and well equipped, facing a lovely inner courtyard. This is a hotel I would gladly return to.

Nice place, authentic Alsatian building, friendly staff, nice breakfast, bit expensive for what you get.

General ambience of the hotel and the village

Food in the restaurant was very good BUT the portions were huge.

Lovely place to stay, a beautiful place in the countryside of Colmar. But not too far from the city center. The staff is amiable. Nice breakfast. Very free parking place.

The bed is not too comfortable with the quilted bed cover provided. (Two blankets over a bed sheet.)

Breakfast had a good selection, hitel was typical of the alsace

    No kettle in room

    8StefanoPosted on: 9-15-2022

Was in a silent place near yo the country side and the vinyard. Perfect to visit that zone of the France

Only a little bit cleaner would be better

We had 2 rooms because we were traveling with family. They were great although the building is old and the floor has a certain inclination. The decoration was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The staff was really nice and we wanted to have a wine tasting which the owner offered immediately. We got out with some bottles! There is a bakery nearby with delicious pastry that you must try!The church nearby is also charming and worth a visit.

    I can't say anything I didn't like!

Nice, cute pension in a charming little village. Good restaurant.

If you get a room with window towards the street it could get a bit noisy during night due to traffic and churchbells.
