- A very charming, old-world property. The room was a great size for our family of four, and everything was very clean. They even put a fan in the room at our request for the night because of the scorching temperatures. The breakfast was excellent!
- Every detail feels carefully considered, from the beautiful historic interiors to the cozy, inviting shared spaces. You immediately sense that this is a place run with love and intention. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, making us feel at home from the first moment. Breakfast was outstanding fresh, generous, and served in one of the most charming dining rooms we’ve experienced on our travels. In the evenings, we loved settling into the lounge with a glass of local wine and a delicious platter, surrounded by the hotel’s warm, old-world atmosphere. It became one of our favorite moments of the day.We really recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the region — it’s the kind of place you remember long after you leave.
- Location; Vintage feel with large parlor for “hanging around” and socializing; wonderful gentleman at front desk who takes great care of everyone…providing great assistance, directions, makes calls for us, evening service (wine, tea, warm milk…whatever we asked for). Great breakfast. We were surprised to be right there at the Turckheim Christmas Market! (Closed streets made parking difficult, but we managed to had a nice walk!) We enjoyed the Turckheim atmosphere and friendly local folks.
Cons -
- The carpet was a little tired.
- Rooms are tiny, but the main floor facilities make up for this.
- Room we had this time, we while very clean and comfortable was very small. We did not spend a lot of time in the room, so not critical for us

Charm, location and a wonderfulStaff were the highlights. The hotel also had a wonderful breakfast.

Beautiful building, clean rooms
No elevator. Traveling with a young child makes it necessary for us to bring more items with us. Our room was on the top floor, which was not ideal.
We had a wonderful stay at Deux Clefs. Having reserved parking available for a fee was well worth not having to search for parking in the tiny walled village. The location was ideal to explore Turckheim. The room was comfortable and the breakfast had abundant choices for everyone. Most of all, we appreciated the staff's attention to detail - they found and held an item we'd left in the room until we could return to retrieve it. Many thanks!
Front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location. The outside patio is an added bonus to the property.
The location was great, the building and the decoration is so beautiful. And very clean.
Our room was at the third floor and there is no lift, no body help to carry the luggages ehich is the hardest part. The room was very sweet but so small and uncomfortable, I have never seen such a small bathroom like that.
Really cosy hotel & really friendly owners . An eclectic decor hotel , placed just right at the town Square In a very cosy villageVery Dog friendly . You Can bring og eat you take away in the livingroom if you just buy what you drink from the hotel .
Very nice building in the middle of a small and beautiful village near to colmar and vine route. The reception “Karim” was very kind and helpful.
Amazing location in lovely town of Turckheim. Clean, spacious, cozy, friendly stuff.
Walking into reception was like entering a Hallmark Christmas movie! The decorations created such a wonderful atmosphere. The sitting rooms and breakfast room were charming. Breakfast was delicious! I especially loved the Christmas jam and fresh tarts. The two foreign cleaners do an amazing job, the bathroom sparkled and there wasn’t a single sign of dust on all the objects d’art throughout the hotel. I will be back but will contact the hotel directly to chose a better room. The children’s Christmas choir and delicious meal at nearby restaurant L’Autrefois made our stay here truly memorable!
I suspect our room was very simple compared to others elsewhere in the hotel, no other guests were in the attic area. The bed sagged too so both people ended up rolling into each other, it was hot and uncomfortable. I really liked the charm of the hotel but would have appreciated getting better sleep at night. The hotel is dog friendly so if you have allergies this will not be for you. Parking was in the market place, outside the village wall, only 14 places are available with the hotel, first come first served. If you arrive before the street is closed for the Christmas Market you could drop your bags at the door, otherwise the cobblestones are hard on your luggage. Arriving in the dark at 5pm was very confusing.
We stayed here for three nights in September 24 while and used it as a base to tour around the Alsace area visiting tones and wineries. The hotel was lovely, old and comfortable with a lovely lounge area where you could sit with a drink in the evening. Parking was on the premises and, amazingly, there was a power point by each space so we were able to plug in our hybrid car! Such a rare find! Breakfast was really good with everything on offer, cakes, breads, cold meat and cheeses and cooked items all from a buffet set up. The staff were always on the move and nothing ever ran out. Eating out in the evening was easy as there are numerous restaurants just around the corner. We ate at a different one each night and they were all good. Our room was on the third floor, which was a bit of a haul on the stairs as there is no lift, but stopping for a breather (both being a bit older) on the second floor was fine. There was a massive beam in our room and I was sure my husband would hit it getting up during the night, but he didn’t. It was a relaxing stay
The hotel is a beautiful building in a perfect position. The interior is elegant warm and inviting. Our bedroom was small but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was outstanding! Every tastes were catered for. In a beautiful dining room this was a really great way to start the day. When next in Turckheim we will definitely return.
Try to schedule your visit when all nearby restaurants are open. Nothing to do with the hotel, but I hope valuable contextual information.
Stunning historic hotel in a beautiful town. The downstairs lobby is full of exotic decorations and is a lovely place to enjoy a game of chess with a drink from the hotel bar. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of variety, and the breakfast room and garden were both beautiful locations to enjoy it in. Our room had high ceilings and was tastefully decorated.
The floors creak, a lot, and we were woken up by people upstairs walking back and forth at 5am. Then we were woken up by the loud church bells, which rang for quite a while. We didn't mind this much since it is part of staying in a charming old building in the centre of town, but someone sensitive to sounds would probably not be happy here.
Beautiful place, cozy and excellent attention.
In the room with two single beds they forgot to throw the trash out of the bathroom trash can, and the shower stall did not have a place to hang the shower handle which makes the bathroom a little uncomfortable. Everything else is ok ☺️
Well situated and very cosy
No AC, the shower was not properly repaired, not enough lightIt would have been good to have the windows closed at night since the church bell rang every hour
It’s most cosy place we have ever been.
Very nice staff , very helpful and attentive to the details.
I liked literally everything about this hotel!1- Historical place - built in 1500s. The feeling to be in a house built so long ago with so much history is amazing. There are multiple historical figures who visited this hotel over the centuries.2- Location is perfect just in the middle of the village on the side of the main square and the famous gardens.3- Parking is free and easy on the street.4- Silence! It was extremely quiet helping you to relax thoroughly.5- Value for price - 10/10. Absolute gem for this price!6- Very good interior, in the lobby area they have hundreds of artefacts from around the world, everything is arranged beautifully.7- The staff is extremely nice and welcoming. 8- We didn't try the breakfast but when we were leaving I peaked what it is and they had a big variety of things which I believe would have been very tasty.
Very helpful staff. Excellent location in village. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable room. Very interesting artifacts.Family owned hotel.
Hotel could have done with a touch up - some paintwork tired.
