The hospitality and friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, the decoration and history, the greenery and configuration, the calmness and serenity were the best qualities experienced during my stay. highly recommended for a romantic, relaxed and luxurious getaway

I have stayed all over the world in many different types of accommodations. I have no idea how this hotel is rated anywhere near exceptional. It is absolutely medium grade. Rooms are horrible, the pictures on the listing do not reflect what you receive even after going back and forth with the hotel before check-in I was completely dissatisfied with the room. It was uncomfortable, small tiny windows, no view, living room had two chairs and a hallway bench as a couch, no AC in the bathroom or bedroom, almost inaccessible “extra space” up these tiny steps, low doorways (constantly hitting my head). After check-in I went back to the front desk and explained the situation that the room was not to our liking. Cold, and sorry, but no! No changes no anything ect. We had reserved dinner reservations for ourselves and two other friends staying down the road at the restaurant on the property. Again, for 800-1000 dollars nothing was good, sub par, ok service but I could have gone to the street bars and found way better food and did for a quarter of the price. Not a good experience. Grounds are small in comparison of the pictures, pool unattended and not heated. I literally almost left and booked another hotel but was not able to cancel or move or anything. It was the worse part of our two week trip. The restaurant closed and left us basically in the dark, the front desk said we couldn’t have visitors in our rooms they couldn’t even get the coffee pods or creamer in the room correct and every morning I had to go downstairs to get the right coffee and creamer and they looked at me like I was the one that was crazy. Do not stay here unless you are absolutely clueless in the hotel world. I’m surprised it’s survived their acclaimed 25 years and personally would never suggest this hotel to anyone.

Toilets need to be added next to the pool area (no bathrooms for the pool area). the only bathroom available is inside the lobby of the hotel which is not practical. And a small detail to improve would be the shampoo and shower gel even though they smelled good.

The most incredible setting in amongst the most beautiful gardens. The staff were excellent! Rooms are spacious. We will definitely be back.

This hotel is so beautiful and serene. The grounds are immaculate and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is an excellent spread!

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of our honeymoon. We were looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet. Unfortunately, there was a very loud family with teenagers at the pool who were yelling, jumping, and splashing all afternoon. This was the exact opposite of what we expected from this hotel. There are also quiet hours posted at the pool from 2-4 which were not respected and staff did not enforce this. This was the type of behaviour I would expect from guests at an all inclusive in Cancun and it was shocking to see that this was acceptable. We were disappointed this really ruined our stay as we had thought the resort was for adults/couples and were looking for a romantic getaway.

Location, environment and the room is well designed

For the price of the rooms, would want to see a few things different.- AC was not turned on during the stay though it was warm at night. Leaving windows open meant noise at night from guests checking in even at midnight. - Spotty WiFi in the rooms and on the grounds- Bed was not comfortable - on a less important note, the door was oddly difficult to lock

Rooms are slightly old fashioned but to be expected from this kind of villa.

It was truly an indulgence. The staff are absolute professionals – attentive, caring, and always ready to help. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food, the wonderful ambience, and the impeccable service. Every moment felt special!

It was a lovely property but a bit isolated. The staff was exceptional.Breakfast was delicious.

The electrical plugs need to be updated. A better dinner menu.

I had an incredible stay!! This place was exactly what I needed—a peaceful escape with breathtaking views and perfect weather. The room was flawless, and I especially loved the large windows that let in the beautiful morning light, creating the best morning vibes. Waking up to that view was truly healing. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. I’ll definitely be back!”

Recommend it if you are a fan of historical villa. The way leading to the villa is unworldly.

I would not recommend if you are looking for a 5-star resort. The villa is renovated but still glitches like no room-control cold A/C, dis-functional lighting would take place. I even found a half opened shower shampoo in the bathroom. And when you reported all these to the staff, their first reaction was not “sorry we will fix this asap” but “thank you for the reminder. we’ll check next time”

Best hotel we've stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). We are returning here for the seventh time. Excellent service and treatment of guests. Very good restaurant. The overall atmosphere is great!

The most stunning villa in all of Tuscany with exceptional service. If we could live here we would! The grounds are a timeless representation of Tuscany beauty. The absolute perfect location for me and my husband’s elopement. We plan to celebrate our wedding anniversary in this magical location in the coming years ♥️
