THE FOZ Beach Hotel

Great location.

Even though the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, there’s a strong smell of food near the lobby, and the rooms are poorly maintained and not very clean.

Friendly service and good location.

Travelers beware, terrible-DO NOT GO.

Terrible. We ended up not staying. Dilapidated, foul odor, stained carpet, missing knobs on toilet, holes in the walls, exposed wires through walls, areas with carpet missing and covered with cardboard. Exterior railings rusty. Pant splatter in some areas.

Mistake with room reservation, unfinished room contrution , many hazards in the room , it was not clean at all, very dusty, stains on the floors Sink and bathroom in general was disgusting

Parking is tricky but lots of parking available within a short walk

We liked the location it was the number one thing that made our stay good. Directly across from the beach, and the views from our hotel room were incredible.

The room liked they were trying to upgrade but hadn't finished. The transition that separated the main room from the bathroom was missing so it was just open. When we arrived there was no soap in the bathroom and no light bulb in the desk lamp. I asked for one so that I could have a light on without disturbing my wife while she slept but never received one. Additionally there was no counter space to put our toiletries in the bathroom so we had to leave them all in the main area by the television.

Great location as long as you have a room facing the sea.So much to watch from the balcony.We have been here at least 3 times in the last year.

The smell. All areas with bad smell.Bath in the room 215 very dangerous to go in and out.

The breakfast was fine but should have a different offer from one day to the other, was too basic.

A Bar missing for the customers, which could be open till midnight

Everything. Small rooms, very small bathrooms. Worse than motel 6 in the usa.

The location was great, right in front of the beach

The trash can under de table was not empty. There were stains on the pillows and carpets as well as the sofas at the reception. There was a vending machine, however, it was not working.

Great location by the beach.Bars and restaurants very close by.Seaview room is a must.

Not much parking at hotel but plenty nearby.

Being close to the beach it's always nice.No carpet in the Room floor.

Nearly no parking ( 8 to 10 cars max).Bathroom in the room was with a Very doubtful stain that stayed there during our stay.After using the bathroom sometimes it would smell like sh**.The elevator is slow af.

No even small fridge which is big minus. Can’t keep any juice or drinks cold

Nothing awful Was not offered breakfast or given any help . Three young men on reception very disinterested in guests.

Staff at reception barely acknowledged us with no information. Only statement was that room was for two only. As if was a very small room I can assure then there was no space for extra people if every intended. Very rude staff. With disabled guest and out in 3rd floor at furthest room from lift struggled to walk.

The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel is close to the beach and the town.

The Foz beach hotel is a rather basic hotel, maybe a bit outdated in style, but at a nice location at the Buarcos beach. The rooms were clean, with a basic bathroom and a nice balcony (choose the ocean view!!). The breakfast was also basic (bread rolls, croissants, some yoghurt etc), but for us absolutely sufficient. Eggs are boiled freshly for each guest!The staff is super friendly, speaks english and they really take an effort to make your stay nice. The neighbourhood of Buarcos is quiet, but has some nice restaurants (look up Il Camino, excellent pizza!) and the hotel is next to a big supermarket. Th ehotel is especially nice when you plan to visit all the great sites in the neighbourhood (Aveiro, Coimbra, etc) by car, since it is very easy to find a parking place for your car.

Excellent location right opposite the beach.Staff were extremely helpful especially in getting us a restaurant one night.On the 3rd floor so fabulous view to the beach.

Limited parking at hotel but plenty of spaces nearby.
