Malibu Foz Hotel - La Maison Younan

Newly built, beautiful room with clean and spacious pool area.

Our AC didn't unit work and the hotel couldn't fix it and honestly didn't seem to care, which was the worst part. It was 35 degrees C (95 F) in the room. The manager promised us a generous discount, but we were actually charged twice instead.

Breakfast was wonderful and had a lot of variety. The cappuccino's were amazing. The ladies who were in the dining room were exceptional. They were friendly and always looking to help.

I hv stayed here before and it still has the same problems … the pool bar area is left to youngsters ( a bit lost not weep managed nor trained although we’re very polite) Strangely chk-in can ONLY be after 3pm yet you arrive from your trip from afar, get to the pool and there is no food being served from a pool cafe/ bar - so as a guest you simply hv to starve! I booked a double deluxe room and as the hotel was fully booked we got stuck in a room that was the size of a cubicle ( std room I’m assuming) they changed me to another room - it was exactly the same tight space but with a bath … it was not the original room on my photos shown on my booking! But the staff were accommodating, kind and considerate throughout. “Italian” Restaurant @ dinner still had the exact same problems I shared with them on my last visit! when will anyone ever learn? ( Listen to your guests it brings success)

Welcoming staff, clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Restaurant on site (Mensa) was excellent.

Avoid at all costs!! Fake 5 star hotel

I ended up staying 2 hours from my 3 night stay as the air conditioning was making a very bad noise and they could not find an alternate room as they were fully booked. The staff at night assured that i would be fully refunded and now I just got an email from the sales manager saying that i was not entitled to a refund whatsoever. Avoid at all costs!!!

Except all round- we had to stay longer due to Forest fires closing roads north and we were accommodated brilliantly- please thank your staff very much. Lovely restaurant lovely service lovely pool lovely location lovely sized room and balcony plus coffee in the room

No problems but English Breakfast tea plus milk in room would have been nice- we collected some from breakfast instead?

Breakfast was okay, hot and cold choices.

Five star hotels go the extra mile but this one was disappointing. Fried and scrambled eggs came from the kitchen and were placed on a hotplate so shrivelled and were dry. Pancakes and crepes were cold. Why not have a chef making these items so they are freshly cooked, more appetising and hot. There were no teaspoons and we were given wooden sticks to stir hotdrinks.

We were traveling with our family so we rented several rooms. All were very nice. The facilities were well maintained. The pool was beautiful. The location is quite good and just an 8 minute walk down to the beachfront.

It was a walk up or downhill to go anywhere. Normally this is OK with me but if we are carrying kids or pushing strollers it was a little difficult.

the natural light really made it a nice experience. breakfast was amazing and the staff were very outgoing. they had access to free bikes that was a really nice way to get around the town.

the room service was very expensive for what we got.

A tastefully decorated contemporary hotel near the centre of Figueira do foz, just a short walk to the promenade. We had a suite which was spacious, bed large & comfortable, sun on balcony in afternoon- all good! Coffee machine & kettle were welcome. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Staff appeared in low numbers at times, particularly at poolside bar- service often slow. Housekeeping inconsistent- eg drinking glasses / bottle of water not always replaced.

The hotel was nicely decorated, the staff was accommodating and the facilities were clean.
