    Pros +

    • Activities, rooms, beach
    • property is in a great location, beautifully decorated, very clean, i like the access to the beach and boat taxi
    • The location is amazing, with a beautiful view from the room. The beach is lovely, and the pool area is perfect for relaxing and spending time. The room itself is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you might need. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of variety and fresh options.

    Cons -

    • Pool maintenance
    • the staffing needs more attention. The restaurants are not operating properly, very slow service, customer service is poor in areas- restaurant, coffee shop, gift store, buffet for dinner and breakfast
    • Almost everything in the hotel comes with an additional charge. It would be nice if activities like SUP, the indoor pool, and other amenities were included in the room price. Also, keep in mind that the hotel is quite large, so getting from one area to another involves a fair bit of walking and stairs.

⸻A huge thank you to the entire Zel team for making our stay truly wonderful! Every detail at Zel Costa Brava was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the Sport Club team was always so helpful. The beach and pool areas are absolutely stunning, and the breakfast offered a great variety.Even though it was low season, we still had so much fun and enjoyed every moment. We wish we could have extended our stay—special thanks to the lovely lady who tried to help us with that. Unfortunately, since our Barcelona hotel wouldn’t allow us to change dates, we had to leave. But we’ll definitely be back next summer to experience the full Zel magic.Highly recommended!

    Dinner could be better

The location was quite special with beautiful views. Beach and pool are great. Facility is designed in a modern contemporary design. Breakfast was delicious.

The hotel "check-in" process was the worst I've ever experienced. There is no reception desk, it's supposed to be casual but the result is that it feels very chaotic You have to talk to 3 different staff in order for anything to happen. I had to call reception twice and wait 1.5 hours for our bags to get to our room after check in. I would have brought them myself had I known. We had a long day of travelling, were very tired and really wanted our pyjamas to rest. DInner was okay but could be better for the price we paid (mind you, it was high season).

The location overall and the views are spectacular

The food quality is 2/10. The service in general isn’t that good.

Room was amazing and very well set up. View was breathtaking! Main areas were comfortable and welcoming and staff were gold star.

Lots of stairs to get to the room, but worth it for the view.

Beautiful view and location. Amazing coffee at reception.

Lots of walking uphill and up stairs to get to room and pool. Not suitable for elderly or if your children complain about walking a lot. You have toCheck your self in online. It’s cheaper to have lunch in the nearby village tossa de mar. You have to pay for every little extra thing and the hotel is expensive to begin with.

Great sports options. Clean and spacious rooms. Great access to the beach and pool. Lots of kids and kids activities. More of a family hotel.

The food at the hotel was okay but not great. However there was lots to choose from at the morning and dinner buffets.

    9ShannaPosted on: 7-13-2025

The staff was exceptional. From Valet, to check-in staff, to restaurant staff. Liked the variety of food at the buffet. Loved having access to 2 different beaches, and the hotel having a private beach was a big bonus. The steam room and dry sauna were great. And, being pet-friendly was a huge bonus!

I wish the fitness facility was more up to date with better machines and weights.

Exceptional nature, beatiful cove. Well maintained nature, an oasis of nature. The sea is beautiful. Tennis courts awesome. The staff is young, dynamic and super friendly.

The “pgygital” experience overall is exhausting, we suffer seeing the staff doing their best to keep explaining the facilities to clients. We had half an hour seminar while checking in, the staff had to explain the facilities., same at breakfast. We were exhausted and just wanted to get into the room. I think a video to be watched in each room would solve this problem (or by phone) Food at lunch was extremely expensive for what was offered. And last, the artificial grass around the pool is disturbing, smells bad with heat, heats up very much so you can’t step barefoot, and full of microbs. Terracotta would be so much nicer

Activity and the swimming pool and good for kids and nice and clean room

Nothing to do evening and night

    4Sylvia M. N.Posted on: 7-1-2025

the design, the boutique and coffee shop, the music activities, the breakfast buffet and dinner, parking

a long windy road to get to the hotel, many facilities in the room were broken / not working properly. Smaller than expected for the price. Complicated check in system, with complicated towel system - over complicate something that should be simple. When you pay 1k/ night and your children cant even get an extra towel at the pool. The adult pool + sauna costs 15 more per pax to use (what for?)

    9PatriciaPosted on: 7-1-2025

Great rooms and amenities! Awesome location to relax with plenty of activities to do.

The WiFi and TV were not working properly. Some of the staff were strict with rules.

The apartments are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer stunning views. Room service is exceptional. The rest of the staff is proactive and genuinely kind — I even managed to recover a shirt I had forgotten in the apartment after checking out, which was a nice surprise. This place has all the makings of a hidden gem on the Costa Brava, especially once it finds its gastronomic identity. Right now, the limited dining options left us with a bit of a bittersweet impression when leaving the resort.Huge thanks for being pet-friendly — it's a big plus!

For the kind of Apart Resort we’re renting, I was really expecting better food options. The breakfast buffet is generous and decent, and it's a plus to have café de finca available downstairs for a proper coffee. But beyond that, there’s a real lack of quality choices for lunch and dinner. The wine list is surprisingly limited and underwhelming, and when the bar gets even slightly busy, the service seems to fall behind.

The closeness to the Cami de Ronda trail was great and the views from some of the rooms and the beachside restaurant were beautiful

The pictures are very deceiving and the layout is not conducive. Everything is basically down a cliff and you have to climb multiple staircases if your room is higher up.They say you can check-in online and pick up the key for a faster process but I still had to sit down and wait for ~20 minutesThe pool is made to look like an Infiniti pool which it’s not at all. Also, the ground around the pool is a strange plastic grass which gets too hot to walk on and then starts to smell like burning plastic. There are not enough chairs around the pool but there is this weird other section not near the pool with rows of chairs. You are only allowed to use one towel for the day, they won’t let you exchange it if it gets too wet or sandy. The hotel mentions a beach but it’s a public beach and they don’t even have chair/umbrellas to use. You have to pay €30!My room was supposed to be a sea view but only had a sliver of a view and was down a dark hall that looked like it was for storage. While I was getting out of the shower there was a worker right outside my windows which were wide open! They will only give you a bottle of water once during the stay and no one mentioned or showed me the place to refill and that was broken when I found it.

    yes

when we checked put early in the morning at 4 a.m., the receptionist didnt speak much english. Also, i was charged for restaurant food that had aleeady been paid for earlier. This was quite inconvenient and left a bad impression.

For a family vacation this hotel is as close to perfect as it gets. We had a large suite with a small kitchenette that was ideal for our family of three, the ocean view was a bonus as this area of the Costa Brava is exceptionally beautiful. The pools, restaurants and spas were all top notch and the food at the beach restaurant “Parda” was delicious. We only did the breakfast buffet which was excellent so I assume the dinner buffet is also good.

My only complaint was with the beach, they should start an initiative to keep it cleaner, either hiring people to clean or perhaps provide trash buckets for guests to help pick up the trash (I’ve seen this at hotels in Costa Rica and everyone is happy to help and keep the beach pristine).

We stayed there with our family for 4 days, and everything felt like a fairytale. Every corner, every square meter was so beautiful that it brought tears of joy to my eyes. The hotel has a delightful scent throughout, both in the lobby and in the rooms. Everything was extremely clean, cozy, with bright and spacious rooms. The food was incredibly delicious and varied every day – a wide selection of meats, salads, fruits, different types of cheese, and mouthwatering desserts. Everything was thought out down to the smallest detail. The staff was absolutely wonderful — everyone was very friendly and always ready to help, even with the smallest things. We were absolutely thrilled. I can’t stop praising this hotel — it truly deserves all the compliments!

Wonderfull infrastructure. Very hard extra beds for the kids. Nice indoor swimming pool, but it theory kids only have access from 12-15, which at the end was never really inforced. This is an strange policy as 90% of guests had kids.

Rather disorganized. Long time for check in, which need to be done by the person it self. I only got a notificiation to do the online checking a few hours before arriving and during my transfer. It was hard to follow all the sport programs offered, as there was not place with such information.
