Hotel - Bungalows Don Juan Tossa

Nice basic bungalows, good service, hotel looked very nice, nice entertainment for all ages. Close to the lovely beach

the Halloween-Party exactly in front of my door.thanksfully it ended by 11.

Breakfast was great with plenty of selection for everyone.

just a minor issue, tea making facilities in the room would have been great & would have topped it all of nicely.

Staff was friendly and location was very near the beach and the bus station

weak wi-fi signal and no ventilation in the bathroom

I got the wrong room in the beginning. It didn't have at all what I paid for.No view, no balcony or terrace, nothing. And it smelled really bad.There was only one lady at the reception who seemed genuine sympathetic nice. She gave me another room, which at least wasn't as bad as the first room. The walk to the room is needlessly complicated as well. A sign with room numbers wouldn't hurt cause the way those rooms are set up doesn't follow a rhythm and one might have to walk a lot of stairs up and down with heavy luggage to find the right one. What I liked was that I got a better room at least and that I could use the pool.

That I first got a completely different room. Which was awful and smelled bad. Everything seemed a little unclean. Even the pool area. People who work there don't seem very friendly. Even at the restaurant.

Proximity to the beach and food

The bungalow was old on the verge of insalubrity. Poor quality bedding, very little hot water, colony of ants in the room. The exterior is very beautiful but bungalow 14 is to be fled! The underground parking is expensive and you can't change your mind if you have booked it for several days. It's scandalous, a scam.

Very nice and atmospheric. The room was clean and cleaned super quickly. Great location!

We couldn’t get a double bed in the bungalows despite asking for one.

We had our own bungalow. In the main hotel there was a big Halloween Party but we didn’t hear anything. Because it was the last day of the season we got a special offer and enjoyed the bungalow for a low price.

Good location, nice garden, easy check in and check out.

Bed was really uncomfortable, blanket was stinky. Room was cleaned but felt very musty.

Great central location short walk to the beautiful beach and bars / restaurants. Excellent value. Optionally breakfast €8.50 in the hotel to the side was generous and of good quality and choice. Parking onsite extra charge but there was street parking close by.

Pricey parking option

We have been coming to Tossa for 38yrs and have stayed in Don Jaun Hotel lots of times but the hotel and Tossa are finished as they do not accommodate for British or Scottish people when it comes to entertainment.There is limited entertainment and flamenco dancing is not what people want to hear most nights.All around Tossa there is no entertainment and as we have experience through out the years Tossa has changed and this will impact people from ever coming again.There needs to be better entertainment as people are not staying in hotel at night now and the place has changed drastically.I would stress that Tossa de Mar is not for people from UK as this is mainly accommodation for Spanish,French and other people who are travelling.

Entertainment is rubbish,who wants to listen to flamenco most nights.There is no bands now and no one is staying at hotel in evening because of the entertainment.The hotel has slowly been budgeted down and its a shame.All hotels in Tossa have no entertainment and this has impacted the full Town and we will never be back as we have beautiful memories in tossa for 38yrs and we want to keep good memories rather than come back to tossa and see how much the place has ran down throughout the years.

This is the second time that we have stayed at the bungalows. The first time we were in a much larger room, however the smaller rooms are adequate for two people to share. The hotel staff were really friendly and were happy to accommodate us when we asked to extend our stay three times while there. The breakfasts were good with a wide range of choices .

The only down side was the beds which were singles pushed together and made up as singles. The sheets were clean and fresh which was nice but the beds were not that comfy really.

Excellent high variety breakfast. The staff, cleaning and location was great! Highly recommend it!

The late check out is so expensive. The swimming pool has no light in the afternoon.

Very poor conditions. Bad smell from the bathroom when entering room was horrible.The lock and key didn't worked properly, difficulty to lock/open the door. Staff were unhelpful and rude. Should be rated 1 star. Old place build in 70's, not 4 star hotel as advertised.

Excellent value, huge breakfast choice

We booked a bungalow but we have got a simple hotels room. Did not meet our expectations at all. Very disappointing.

All facilites were phenomenal. Breakfast and dinner were awesome. Had so many options. Was value for money stay.
