Hotel Don Juan Tossa

SO close to the beach! And convenient to a supermarket and lots of restaurants.

So little communication. For example, the air conditioning does not work if the patio door isn¿t tightly latched. We only figured this out by accident, after a long, sweltering night with no a/c. Also, we had no idea what meals, if any, were included.

Room were cleaned every day and the cleaning ladys were very thorough. They do their job perfectly. The hotel location is great - nearby you may find anything you may need.

The "All Inclusive" is not all inclusive. You have included some drinks on it but not anything. Also, you have some hours were you can use of All Inclusive. If you need anything to drink after 23:00 or before 10:30 in the morning, you have to pay because "All Inclusive" is not anytime (as should normally be). At most you can call it Full Board with drinks, and not an "All Inclusive". So, on my suggestion, don't go with that option.Activities at the hotel are near to inexistent. The animation girl is trying to do her job perfectly and she was very helpful and funny, but that's all. Ah...I forgot also the "Bingo" activities once in 3-4 days.

Place is great, clean and comfy

Only complaint, we asked in advance for a higher floor away from the street, but were offered one on the first floor right above the traffic.

Location was good and because the city was small and beautiful! Everything was near the hotel - beach and restaurants and shops.

Good location. Breakfast was OK.

Room very small and uncomfortable. Can't really accommodate a family of 4. Was willing to pay for an upgrade or extra room upon arrival, but was fully booked. Room and facilities are outdated (especially the pool area).

Location was very good, just a short stroll to the beach. Plenty of nice restaurants very close by & great for walking the old streets & up to the castle. The hotel itself was immaculate and staff were very pleasant. Breakfast and dinner had a large variety of foods & due to its buffet style, the food was never piping hot but though it was not "fine dining", it was more than adequate. Beds were very comfortable & no noise to disturb your nights sleep. WiFi was good throughout. A nice hotel overall.

We had a few issues with the aircon in the room which wouldn't come on unless the patio door was SLAMMED shut but the staff did respond to our maintenance request very quickly.Because of the location of the hotel, the view from the balcony was poor (overlooking other apartments & did not encourage us to sit out to read or sip a drink.

Loved the facilities, the location the cleanness

Very well located, 5 min to walk to the beach, supermarkets and restaurants all very close. Rooms are well isolated.

Fir 4 stars, I expect rooms to be better equipped and staff more helpful. Our room, while spacey, was missing sufficient storage for our clothes, there was no water cooker or coffee machine, no tissues, no pool towels at disposal. At the pool, not enough umbrellas and loungechairs rather uncomfortable plastic. All small things that add up. Breakfast and dinner buffets were correct but nothing special.

The reception, the cleaning and the so call corporate policy that was mentioned every time I had a question or request. The reception staff: most of the staff had a condescending tone and never able to meet simple requests. When you walked by or approach the desk they always looked down to avoid eye contact. When approaching the desk they will make believe they were busy to make you wait. They didn’t know how to greed prior engaging in conversation. Smiles were expensive at this place. The staff felt they were doing the passengers a favor by allowing them to stay at the hotel. They need to be retrain on how to be courteous and welcoming. Also how to send a final receipt electronically to an email. There phones were always down, therefore you needed to approach the desk to get a bath towel that they forget to put in the room. Cleaning staff - not really cleaning. Most of the days they didn’t want to clean the rooms and the excuse was the sign on the door - yes the sign that said “ please clean the room”. No glasses in the room. They provided paper cups and I was told that they were only giving the 1st day and that I had to make them last for the duration of the trip -9 nights uff. I had to clean the floor with my foot as sweeping and picking up piles of dust and crumbs was not part of their routine. I asked for a plate and cup- I almost felt like I was asking to take them home. No tea, coffee, cups, hot water in the room. They don’t change the sheets until you leave - again 9 nights stay - I had to request to change them on day 6 and the cleaning personnel told me “No”. I had to demand and provide a few reasons for them to do it.

Clean - great location and fun atmosphere

We were there for 2 days and it was great. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We are a family of 4 and it was fantastic. We were close to everything and the town is magical.

Everything, we got there at night when they were having kids activities and my 7 years old daughter jumped right in, she felt very welcome, made some friends while me and wife had some wine at the bar, just what we needed

The room was clean, but a little small for 4 people. The staff was helpful, but didn't allow us to make a later checkout.

There was no tea or coffee in the room. There was a bad smell in the parking lot.

Very happy with the stay. Nice staff. Nice and clean room. The bathroom felt big and new.

We recently stayed at this hotel for a family trip and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel was clean and spacious, offering a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The breakfast buffet was great with a fantastic variety of options to suit all tastes.The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Daily housekeeping was available if needed, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. Also the hotel’s location was just a two-minute walk from the main beach, which made it easy for us to enjoy the seaside quickly. Overall, we had a lovely stay, and we’d recommend this hotel for families looking for a convenient, clean, and comfortable base for their holiday, but just to mention a couple point below.

As a family traveling with a 3-year-old, we were delighted by the soft play area, which was a great addition. Our little one enjoyed having a space to play, though we did feel that a bit more supervision in this area would have been helpful. On a few occasions, there was a large group of adults with disabilities gathering around this space. While it’s wonderful to see facilities being accessible and inclusive, their interactions with our child sometimes made us feel uneasy, especially when he just wanted to play undisturbed.The only other drawbacks were the noise levels in the late evenings. The entertainment was enjoyable but ran quite late, and the sound carried into our room. Additionally, we noticed some noise in the corridors, with children running up and down at times. If you’re sensitive to noise, this might be worth considering. Lastly, while our room had good size balcony, it didn’t feel particularly suited for younger children due to the large gaps in the railings and the view was just of the street and other apartments in front, however, these drawbacks did not impact the enjoyment or our stay overall :)

Had a wonderful stay. The staff were fantastic. Only disappointing thing was no tea/coffee making facilities in room. The bar didn’t start tea/coffee till 9am, because I wake early would have liked to make a cuppa in room.

It was very modern, very clean, good reception, good entertainment, great food.

The only downside was the pool was closed for maintenance 3 out of the 5 days but we realise that it wasn’t full season and they were preparing for that.
