Tarull

This hotel is a small boutique hotel. It is centrally located, my room was large and recently renovated, and common areas were tastefully decorated with interesting historical pictures and art works. The highlight was a large roof terrace with a stunning view. Moreover, Luis is not just a proprietor, he is a wonderful host that makes you feel like a family member, not just a customer. This is an exceptional place. The booking.com scores for hotel Tarull are unusually close to a perfect 10, so I wondered if I had missed some catch. Personally, I rarely give a score of 10, because I am always critical, I always think something should be improved. Well, hotel Tarull is exceptional so, if ever the top score should be given, this is the time. It earns on overall score of 12 out of 10.

I rained a little bit one day.

There is a simple reason that everyone gives Hotel Tarull 5 stars. It’s because you can’t give it 6 stars. It deserves 5 stars because:Location is absolutely perfect, an easy 5-6 minute walk to the beach with no steep hill, everything in Tossa is within easy walking distance, it’s super quiet at night, has an expansive rooftop terrace with incredible views over Tossa and the sea, darling “Witch” bar on the main floor, super clean rooms with comfortable bedding, great breakfast, and Luis and his lovely family making sure you have everything you need to complete your stay.The 6th star is Luis. Luis is “the host with the most”. From the moment you walk in, Luis ensures that you feel at home, with family and friends, and well taken care of. Let me re-phrase that, incredibly well taken care of. Hotel Tarull is truly a unique and memorable experience. 6 stars!

The experience was amazing thanks to the remarkable hosts Luis and his wife. They were incredibly attentive and helpful. Luis gave us great traveling tips and recommendations of places to visit! Had a great time and would recommend 100% to stay at this hotel, plus Tossa is beautiful!

The hotel was such a perfect location to get to the beach, restaurants, bars and also the bus station. The highlights were definitely the owners, such lovely accomodating people, and also the rooftop terrace!

Nothing we didn't like, we will be coming back

Situated in the old city this quiet haven of a hotel has everything you need. Immaculately kept rooms, incredible breakfast (including gluten free options) and a wonderful terrace with views of the city.

Probably the best stay I've ever had! The room was clean and cosy. The room was clean and cozy. The hotel is located in the old part of Tossa de Mar, just a 5-minute walk from the nearest beach and the Tossa Fortress, a main tourist attraction. The hotel staff was very friendly and super helpful. We got everything we needed and even more!I wish I could have stayed longer and hope I get the chance to visit again - especially because my little son keeps asking when we can visit Mr. Lluís next time! :-)My best regards to Mr. Lluís and his wonderful team!

The hotel's terrace is extraordinary and probably has the most beautiful view of the sea and the castle. Mr. Lluis and his wife were extraordinary hosts and made us feel extraordinary. I think it was the most pleasant stay at a hotel out of all the hotels I've stayed at so far

Everything was perfect!

The location was perfect, close to the beach and shops but not noisy.The owners were exceptional...nothing was too much trouble and they were always smiling.I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel

Clean, simple hotel with very helpful and friendly owner and family. Close to beaches and restaurants.

Beds a bit short if you are over 6 feet tall (1.8m) and internet too slow for remote working

The hotel is very nice and managed by a friendly family. It’s very close to the bus stop where the airport buses from Barcelona arrive. It’s close to the beach and the old town, but it isn’t on the main promenade, so it's relatively quiet. However, take into account that there are narrow streets and buildings close to each other, so there is some noise when someone rides a scooter or people are loud when coming back from a party, but you can always close the windows and turn on the air conditioning. The hotel room was clean, we had comfortable beds and well-functioning air conditioning. Towels are changed very often. The only thing missing in the room was a drying rack to dry towels and swimsuits. The hotel has a large roof terrace with beautiful views of Tossa, the sea and the mountains. If you need it, you can ask for a beach umbrella and beach towels. The breakfasts are tasty, egg dishes such as omelettes and scrambled eggs are prepared to order, so they are warm and fresh. The strongest point of this hotel it’s owner, Luis. He is a unique person, extremely helpful, kind, attentive and caring about his guest. He can advise very well where to go trekking or cycling, where to go to eat, what beach and when it is less crowded, and even what day of the week will be best for a trip to Barcelona. And he makes the best Sangria in Tossa! :)

General atmosphere! The host and his wife are amazing people, helped us with everything and we felt really will cared! We got all recommendations for local food and attractions! If we could give more than 10/10 it would be definitely higher score!

Hosts and hotel exceeded our expectations. Hotel is located in old part of Tossa, which is a huge plus. Just a few minutes from fortress and beach. Nice breakfast. Clean rooms. We liked everything!

Lluis and his family were the best hosts one could wish for. Made us feel welcome and part of the family from the minute we arrived. The location was perfect; in the old quarter of town close to everything but away from the maddening crowd. The view from the roof was nothing short of breathtaking and a lovely to spend the cool evening hours. Rooms were modest, clean and comfortable.

Perfect hotel in a beautiful old coastal town. Owner Luis went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Amazing rooftop terrace with views over the town to the sea. We will return.

Loved everything

Family owned hotel with great atmosphere. Super welcoming owners who make your stay as enjoyable as possible and ready to help with every question! Good location in old town with parking at property and few minutes from beaches. Great terrace that guest can use for dining/drinks. We liked all it all in this hotel.
