City Gate Hotel Airport Thessaloniki

Just perfect ¿ safe and clean.

Close to the casino, airport some malls.

The room was not same as the pictures.

The staff were very friendly, gave us morning coffee, helped us with luggage.

This is an extraordinary nice hotel in a very strange location but it was perfect as a place to stay before my exit flight being close to the airport. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, and amenities were good. Nice views from your balcony overlooking the former farming lands in that area. Bed was comfortable. The hotel has a lovely ambience and design. Its a quick and easy 20 minutes drive to Thessaloniki from this property.

It's a strange location in an industrial neighbourhood. You can't walk anywhere safely, even though there's a shopping mall further up the main road, the main road is a freeway that lacks a proper sidewalk for pedestrians and the traffic is aggressive. Wild dogs caused a ruckas the night I stayed there right outside my balcony, it was amusing more than anything. I would stay here again.

This hotel is the perfect stay when you have an early flight out of Macedonia airport. The stuff is friendly and capable to help you out, whatever your needs are. They also offered a ride to the airport which was a pleasant bonus to this already convenient location.

Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices and everything fresh and delicious. I also appreciated that we could buy a bottle of wine for the room when we arrived.

Did have a bit of airplane noise, but it was not terrible.

The reason I chose this property was because it was close to the airport and the hotel provided shuttle services. I was heading to Mt Athos and didn’t want to rent a car to only have it sit in a parking space for a week as I took the ferry. I needed access to a bus network and the hotel shuttle provided transportation back to the airport in order for me to grab a bus. When the driver/owner heard my plans he graciously offered to drive me directly to the TKEL bus terminal instead of the airport, as it would not only save me time but money for an airport bus leg I wouldn’t need. I was very grateful for this act of kindness. On top of that the breakfast was excellent. The hot food was wonderful and the buffet display was very spacious and attractive. A great variety of food choices. The kitchen staff is to be commended. Highly recommend.

Comfortable

There was nothing around; we arrived by public transit and foot but absolutely nothing around to grab dinner :(

Friendly and very helpful staff. Clean, quiet, comfortable.

The hotel room was excellent with ample space. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was great stay especially for our need to be close to airport travel. We would stay again!

The location was not easy to find, would benefit from bigger road sign.

Location was excellent, easy access to the airport. Staff was very helpful recommending a wonderful fish restaurant at the beach. I really appreciated the free parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast was very good with hot and cold food choices. The entire hotel was extremely clean.

Proximity to the airport, friendly staff

Outdated furniture, although some areas seem to have been remodeled.

Close to the airport, the shuttle took me to the airport at the time when I told them to — was waiting for me. Very clean, extremely friendly service, nice rooms, clean.

Prime location near the airport. When landing close to midnight it was a great choice for my first night. Friendly and attentive staff, nice and spotless room, perfect. There is even a small balcony and a complimentary coffee in the morning served with a smile. I used again without hesitation for my last night on the trip before an early flight and recommend wholeheartedly

The lack of extra sockets for charging my phone and other appliances, could find only one free socket on one end of the bed

It was very quiet and away from everybody great place to relax

Nothing the people were very nice the concierge the reception everybody it was perfect

Clean, friendly, easy check in.

The staff is amazing! Super helpful and welcoming.

The facilities are partially lacking. Ac wasn’t working well.

The people were very nice. They left a bottle of wine in our room for us to enjoy on arrival. I liked having a balcony. The flowers/plants in and around the hotel were beautiful. There is an adorable sweet dog that hangs out in the lobby and likes being pet. The breakfast was fantastic (lots of options and tasty). I appreciated the shuttle to the airport. All-in-all a great stay.

The stuff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was lovely

This place is very basic, the air con has seen better days. The beds were not comfortable to say the least. For a one night stay at the airport it’s ok.

We received a wonderful warm welcome upon arrival. Our room was a perfect size, nice beds, plenty of space to unpack a few things, nice bathroom and shower. The hotel is a block off the main highway but surrounded by fields so was very quiet. Plenty of on-site parking available. We were able to return our rental car and walk back to the hotel, then use their free shuttle for the ride to the airport. The host ordered us take-out dinner so we didn't have to walk to a restaurant, then surprised us with a homemade dessert! The breakfast buffet was probably the best we experienced (during a two-month trip). We only wish we had more time to linger and enjoy it rather than head to the airport so soon. A perfect place to spend the night before our flight!
