    Pros +

    • The surroundings are beautiful , relaxing and peaceful. Amazing sea view and glorious sunsets. Fantastic breakfasts and dinner. We loved our private patio and time by the pool. Attentive and helpful staff , especially Barbara , who assisted with offsite dinner reservations.
    • This is a stunningly beautiful property. Modern, yet traditional in decor. Barbara gave us a warm welcome and gave us a wonderful recommendation for a nearby beach, which was equally stunning.
    • Very nice Masseria, located near the beach (no walking distance though). An oasis of peace and quiet, very nice manager who went out of her way to accommodate to our needs. Great pool, although a bit on the cold side. Ideal place to relax and unwind.

    Cons -

    • Didn’t love the mattress (memory foam) and the shower walls could use a freshening coat of paint .
    • No dining available on the night we were there (booked for a party).
    • Cleanness was not as good as I expected, even saw some spider's net in the corners. toilet space badly distributed, small shower and once I had no warm water. the swimming pool is nice, but some parts were pilling off.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience. The pool was simply amazing, perfect for relaxation, and the room size was very generous, providing plenty of space to unwind. The sunset view from the hotel was absolutely stunning, creating the perfect backdrop for a serene evening.Breakfast was a highlight—there was a lovely selection, including delicious handmade pastries that were a real treat each morning. Dinner on-site was also impressive, offering good value for money with a variety of tasty options.

While the stay was wonderful, updating the mattresses and bedding to more modern standards would enhance the overall comfort and experience.

Masseria Samenti has a really well maintained garden and a beautiful swimming pool. Stunning sea view. This part of the Masseria looks to be recently renovated. The staff at the reception is friendly and responsive.

Even though there is a restaurant and its working hours are announced (incl. lunch and dinner) the guests of the Masseria do not have any priority on booking it. We tried to book for dinner and the response we got was that the restaurant is fully booked (mainly by external people, not guests) and we could try to visit a place near by (10 min by car). It would be useful if someone told us in advance that there is a high demand on the restaurant and the bookings from the guests should happen much in advance. It would be also comfortable the guests of the hotel to rely on room service (at least in these cases). Unfortunately room service or take away from the hotel restaurant is not possible. The entrance to the parking of the Masseria is very difficult in the evening due to the unauthorized parking of the cars of the guests of the restaurant in front of the main door and in the narrow street. The rooms/ suits are not renovated, the furniture is very basic and minimal (not as shown on the pictures, not aligned with the accommodation price). The wardrobes shelfs are actually 1 ikea polyester Storage with 6 compartments.

The style of the property was lovely and the pool is stunning. The people were also really friendly and fell over themselves to help with any requests!

Found it difficult to get a restaurant reservation as it is so popular so would advise booking in advance

This is a beautifully situated property with a lovely garden and stunning views and it could be almost perfect. But there are some annoying, small but significant problems which it needs to fix. For example, the parasol umbrellas around the pool are made of a strange, porous, crochet-type material that means they don’t offer much protection from the very strong Puglian sun. The smaller rooms, such as those called “pool view” where we spent the first three of four nights do not match up to the five star quality and size you’d expect from the five star prices. (After we complained about this, we spent a last night in the much bigger tower room, which was lovely.) On the other hand, the staff are capable and pleasant, the food is decent and there are some enjoyable extras - pottery and pasta making tuition included in the price, and one evening we were there, an excellent live band playing pizzica, the traditional Salento music. The Ola e needs its management to pay more attention to these details.

    See above.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of our stay was the pool and outdoor area with a stunning sea view. The staff was also very friendly.

One of the bath towels was stained, but since our stay was short, I preferred not to ask to change it to the staff and shared the other towel with my husband. The breakfast was truly very poor, with few options. There was only one type of bread (which was seeded), and aside from a single type of cheese and cooked ham, there were no savory options like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. The mattress had little support. I woke up with a lot of back pain. I stayed in a room with pool view.In short: I don't think it's worth half the price charged. Almost €300 per night for so many shortcomings. Of course, these are issues that, if the establishment wanted, could be easily fixed.

I loved the kindness of the staff, the location and the room!

Everything was great and I can highly recommend! The pool is absolutely gorgeous the bungalows are beautiful and the restaurant is excellent

Before booking the trip I red a few reviews and if I should be honest and picky one thing that has disturbed me was the smell of the chlorine on the arrival! It disappeared quickly though……..

Super special location, setting and property. Friendly staff. Everything was thought out and delivered upon. Loved the included breakfast of local products and great coffee.

No complaints. Just a great experience all round.

The garden view rooms with private terrace were very good. In fact all the buildings & terraces were picturesque & well kept. The food, especially the evening meal was excellent. Pretty gardens & nice swimming pool. It’s only a 10 minute walk to the sea, which you can see from the property. It was very quiet & relaxing.

Beautiful, relaxing & clean hotel, friendly staff also.Thank you to Barbara who helped us organise a hire car a few days into our stay, which was difficult bc of the time of year. Gallipoli is the closest town, beautiful and tons of restaurants/ bars/ shops etc 24 min drive away. Otranto is also gorgeous - 1 hour drive. Special shoutout to Serena (usually wears red) she was a helpful, sweet and caring member of staff who went above and beyond to ensuring we felt happy and comfortable :)We would recommend this hotel for couples who want a quiet & romantic getaway.

CAR HIRE IS A MUST! Without a car, it’s an hour walk to restaurants etc. And don’t come off season, we came last week of May & struggled to find anywhere open. you are very much left to your own devices during the day, the only food available all day is an appetiser which is a few small dishes of nibbles. Breakfast is basic & dinner is overpriced. You won’t find ‘classic’ Italian dishes like pizza and pasta on the menu. It says close to the beach but in reality it’s close to a rocky coastline where it’s dangerous to enter the sea. Sandy beaches are at least a 15 min drive north or south of the coastline.

We had a wounderfull time as a family and the service was really nice. We had a dinner at the restaurant and the food was also really good. I can only recommend this Masseria.

We really enjoyed staying at Masseria Samenti, the place is lovely, the main area is well curated, the swimming pool is something very special and the rooms are big and nice. There was also a little garden in front of our room, where the kinder could also play a bit. Barbara, the owner, was really nice with us, as we went a bit outside of the high season, she suggested where we could find some nice open restaurants and she was also nice with the kids, giving them a little ball to play, which they could keep it as a present. Breakfast was also very good, as were outside of high season, we were served at the table (I guess during high season there is a buffet, but I am not sure) and it was all very fresh (fruit, croissants, bread, jams, pan cakes, ham, cheese, coffee, tee, etc..). It's also very close to the see, we just walked there a couple of time, as the weather was not allowing to swim (but we could not resist to use the swimming pool..:). All good, really nice place

Lovely property with a beautiful swimming pool and garden. Barbara was very helpful and gave us a lovely packed breakfast when we had to leave early. The property is far from Gallipoli and in a secluded spot.It is important you visit during full tourist season otherwise all the surrounding towns are closed.
