Hotel Rivage Taormina

The staff was friendly, the access to the beach was nice and the staff calling a taxi for us was convenient

The cleanliness. When i arrived, the bed cover was already stained, the toilet seat was dirty i had to clean it.

The staff are good. The hotel is at the private beach. It is only good to stay during summer time if u like swimming. To visit attraction, u have to take bus every time. Kind of mad as the bus does not have a number u really don't know it could go to yr destination. And the taxi there are expensive. Not really charge accord to meter. The breakfast is good.

The staff were friendly, efficient, and courteous! The hotel was very clean and the location is perfect. The breakfast was the best!!

Perfectly located across the beach. However quite far from the heart of the city. Staff was really nice and very helpful.

Walls are very thin and you can hear everything especially doors of the room. Would wake up to sounds of doors closing.

The hotel tried to be a nice boutique style and the stadd dd everything to achieve it, however there is a mayor construction site just next door and the entire boulevard is being renewed, which made it complicated to get there, dangerous for kids and the noise of the contruction started at 08:00.

The Contruction next door, this is a totally new building, will be there for at least another 8 months to a year. The boulevard is being renovated as well...will take several months at least.

Amazing Breakfast, helpful staff and clean room. The location was perfect, right by the beach.

Size of the room is rather small - no view

Lovely hotel, family feel, warm and welcoming team. The hotel reception couldn’t do enough to help with our stay, offered recommendations including a sunset boat trip (picked up from the hotel) definitely book this and we spotted dolphins!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very clean and cleaners were on it every day. We would book again and recommend to anyone who wants to see Taormina with the peace of a quiet location.

Not a real dislike but there was a building site at the back along with being close to the train tracks but it didn’t massively spoil our stay as we were only there a couple of days and my little lad loves trains

The hotel was lovely. The rooms were really clean and the bed very comfortable. The pool was a really refreshing experience with nice cabana beds. The hotel was small enough to feel quiet and relaxed. The staff were very helpful. It is a short bus ride into Taormina and only a couple of euros. There is a bar and restaurant overlooking the beach attached to the hotel. The staff work tirelessly and are all very helpful. The food was delicious and a high standard. There are also other bars and restaurants close by. Thank you to the staff for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

There is nothing that we didn’t like.

Great boutique hotel in Mazzeo beach area. Very quiet, clean and extremely friendly staff. We were greeted by Gabriele and he was lovely, showed us areas of the hotel, welcome drinks and took us to our room, explained the hotel and services as well which was appreciated. The hotel itself has a modern yet Italian feel to it, the rooms are average size but enough for 2 for a few nights, balcony has a sea view and directly across the hotel is the beach club - if you’re using the beach towels, it’s an additional fee which we found weird when the entry to the beach club is free.

Although there’s a bus to Taormina, it’s a 5-7 min walk from the hotel and only comes once every hour - really inconvenient when you miss one or in between weird half hours times - also the last bus running from Taormina is at 9:30pm to the hotel which is quite early, so if you’re planning to stay in town for late drinks and dinner, download Uber to get fixed prices. Breakfast is ok, very minimal options - mainly pastries, cereals and weirdly uncut fruits - you have to peel entire oranges or kiwis which I thought was strange..

Clean, modern boutique style, across the road from beach. Good breakfast selection and restaurant across the road was lovely as well. Quiet area and most of the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Air con unit was making some odd noises throughout the night but other than that everything was great.

We appreciate the staff at the property - specially Tina, who was very sweet and welcoming throughout our stay. Also a gentleman who comes in very early in the morning and was very helpful to fix us a quick coffee and help manage our train station transfer.

Unfortunately it’s not at all worth the price (EUR 2000+ for 7 nights) - simply because it’s not offering anything or any services or amenities close to match that price. Apart from that - property is next to a construction site, beds are twins beds joined together, breakfast is very minimal (extra charge if you want a basic omelette) , Wifi is poor. Still want to mention again, that the staff was very nice to us, but the property is perhaps just not setup to provide the value you pay for.

I loved everything

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Check in was easy and the welcome was nice. When the sun was on the pool the area was nice and relaxing and the private beach area with loungers was pleasant. The breakfast selection was good. Location was good and within walking disctance from Taormina (probably not to Taormina though due to the hill but we chose this) and the public bus service was easy to use.

Noise in the room from builders hammering at 7am woke us up each morning. The room service could have been better organised as they came knocking on our bedroom door at 8:30am while one of us was still in bed & the other was getting changed, & came in even though we shouted not to (we weren’t told during the check in that we needed to put a do not disturb sign on the door.) The shower didn’t drain properly & wasn’t sealed which meant it overflowed if you had it on full powerAlthough breakfast ran until 10am, it wasn’t kept well topped up over this time so lots of things were missing even if you were down by 9am. You also had to ask for coffees rather than just being offered.The pool at the hotel was pretty but in the shade for most of the day & although there was a fully stocked bar at the hotel we couldn’t get drinks from there when using the pool. When we asked they originally said we could go over to the restaurant to get them, & then said they could order them over for us.The pool at the beach/lido was unclean with clumps/scum floating on top & not prepared for guests- they seemed surprised that we wanted to use it & only started removing the scum once we sat down- we didn’t feel like it was useable so ended up moving to the beach. As a side note, had we decided to use the pool, we were told it’s compulsory to wear a swimming cap??We usually don’t stay in hotels in this price range & overall for the price we paid we were disappointed with the lack of attention to the details which make a hotel feel fully relaxing & luxurious. After the warm & welcoming check-in, although hotel staff were friendly when we spoke to them, there seemed to be a lack of attention to guests. Staff at the restaurant/lido were not very friendly.

The Hotel is really welcomming and every one is really nice. If you have a dog it is a paradise the Hotel offers free dog food and Snacks. The Beach is really clean and offers a privat area for dogs an owners. The Beach Restaurant is Amazing the food is so good and every day there is something els. A really big thank you to the Restaurant.We will visit again.
