Grand Hotel Paradiso

Pool area looked lovely but did not use. Nice view and balcony high above the sea.

Upkeep of grounds could have been better.

The gym is really good. Best hotel gym I ever saw! The view from the room is MAGICAL!

The maintenance of the hotel is a bit behind. The breakfast is quite basic. You have to pay extra for the sauna. Although the beach is at walkable distance, there is no sidewalk to walk on (a bit of highway;)).

Past glory

This hotel is just from the past and needs updates. I have been here 10 years ago, which was OK, but they probably didn't invest in anything for the past 10 years. Just looking at the hotel sign, with the broken illuminated letters, says it all. Spa facilities unavailable due to 'water problems'. At breakfast, nobody asked if you wanted coffee. It was up to yourself to find a waiter and ask.

Great location & great facilities & good food

Beds were very uncomfortable & hard. Both of us did not have a restful sleep

The gym was great , location only 5 minutes from catanzaro lido which was great .The decor is little outdated ,front desk was helpful and friendly .

Rooms were tad older furnished and simple

if you did not have a car, you need to consider your life as the road is dangerous. the taxi people charge a very high rate as they know you are stuck. swimming pool was closed.In some rooms you cannot get WiFi on the Saturday night the place was empty, not pleasant.the flags over the door should have given me a clue!

Unless you have a car or you do not mind walkin, the hotel cannot be easily reached on foot from the station.

We stayed here as on overnight on a train trip down the coast of Calabria. To our dismay, there were no restaurants nearby and the staff was unable to assist with dining options.

Big clean rooms but they put us on the front of the hotel even if the hotel was empty. The back of the hotel had a sea view. As it was new year eve everyone was celebrating so u could hear from the parking lot downstairs from our secon floor room
