Beautiful location on a babbling brook with a view of the hilltop cathedral

The staff were great especially Angela. The cafe was convenient and met our needs.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Beautiful quiet area with a river. Free parking on the site. Location a bit further from the centre but you can go with taxi for 5 euros.

The overall experience was good, with the staff being notably kind and attentive. The breakfast was okay, but the scrambled eggs were a standout—they were amazing! While the stay didn't have any particularly remarkable features, it was comfortable and met basic expectations. A decent choice for a short visit.

The mattress was uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Breakfast lacked variety, which was disappointing. My room was located by the reception area, leading to frequent noise and disruptions.

Amazing breakfast! The cheese board with port and wine on the deck with the beautiful creek view was amazing!

No bottled water nor tea/coffee service in the room. It was an additional 60 minute walk from out of the city (in the opposite direction of the Camino) to get to the hotel.

A nice small cosy hotel, far away from noisy center.... you must have a car!!

absolutely fantastic staff, pleasant helpful nothing was too much trouble and not over expensive.The hotel was open to the public so my son and his family could come and have a drink on the beautiful terrace. Great location , great staff, clean room good breakfast I have found a perfect hotel for my needs I’m looking forward to returning in December.

Great river view! Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Hotel has a bar which is great for an evening drink.

Ground floor room window has curtain blackout (that worked fine) but no blinds (felt a little exposed)

all the usual facilities and pleasant staff a short distance from the centre of town.

No drying space for rinsed out clothes. Nobody up before 07.20 to deal with check out so we had to wait on our early start Camino.

Excellent in every way! A little river runs past the back of the hotel. You can sit on the terrace savouring your drink or eating your meal while watching and listening to the sound of the water splashing by. Friendly staff. Excellent service. The hotel serves a range of meals and snacks, which are well prepared and fantastic value for money. Peaceful, clean and friendly. Comfortable bed. Nice hot water in the shower. The fact that local people use the place to socialise in the evening is always a good sign. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer!

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed and room were very clean. At the restaurant, they quickly prepared a nice vegetarian sandwich for us since the menu was basically meat/fish based.

The mattress was very firm. This seems to be the norm in Portugal. With very few exceptions, most hotel mattresses were very firm like here.
