Pros +
- Great breakfast
- Not much of a choice in this small town, but Quality is worth staying and recommended.
- Excellent location & Awesome breakfast. Great rooms with spectacular views. Comfortable showers & very courteous staff.
Cons -
- Room was loud, could heat way too much through the windows and door. Very poor room selection.
- Wish the hot breakfast is available earlier, as we had a very early cruise leaving and only managed with a cold sandwich.
- Room was quite warm, and the shower sprayed/leaked water all over the bathroom floor.

Decent hotel that's well-located, but rather expensive for what it is.
Room was quite warm, and the shower sprayed/leaked water all over the bathroom floor.
Location of the property was good. Staff were helpful and friendly.
No kettle in the room. No water bottle. No room service. Poor house keeping service.
Breakfast was good. The hotel is centrally located.
Everything was good. Only problem i faced was the bed kept moving.
Very clean, lovely bedroom (superior double) staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast, ample choice. Excellent gym with new machinery.
Close to ferry that left at 7:05am
Terribly squashy room, no kettle or fridge. Lacked basic things you would expect for the price my mattress top was slipping off the bed
The room was quite expensive, over 2200 NOK for 1 night's stay, for this I expected a higher end experience. I am not a fancy traveler or a person with high expectations. I spend a lot of time backpacking and traveling the world so my tolerance for discomfort and low quality accommodation is high. This hotel however was disappointing. The room was satisfactory but there were dead bugs in the tub and someone's toe nails inside the plug. I had a bath but I had to clean the tub first. There were no extras of any kind. One pillow per person, no coffee, tea, phone, fridge, etc. The phone especially would have been nice because we had extremely loud club music playing in our room from 8:30 - 11. We were told there would be a party there that evening so we thought the noise was coming from there. It became overwhelming for my 10 year old son and at 11 it was beyond what I was willing to deal with but I did not know how to contact the guest services since I did not have a phone and no one answered the general Google Maps number. I went downstairs to find a receptionist and no one was there. When I the night shift manager he was very helpful and dealt with my frustration well (thank you and sorry) and he followed me up to the room, determined the noise was from the room above me and handled it quickly. The party was still loud after that but I no longer felt like I was sleeping on a nightclub floor so we were able to get to sleep. While we were there the bar pool table and shuffle board were off limits due to a party they were having and the gym was locked. I feel like the offer of the hotel was high-end luxury stay and our experience was road side motel for the same price. Then when you leave you get a 200 kroner parking fee that crushes any good will you might have left. The one positive is that the breakfast is good and the staff are helpful and friendly.

Girl in reception was perfect, good food, and nice view from room

Good location and very clean! We were on honeymoon and we received a nice surprise in our room as well as upgrade! Thank you for this beautiful gesture. Very clean and modern! Breakfast standard. Location good but we were a bit disappointed with Sogndal as a location in general.
Fresh room, comfy bed, good breakfast and great shower!
Arrived after 8:30 pm and not much of any food available
Very little to be honest.
We were put in the old part of the hotel and too tired to complain. We paid 245 I think - so crap value for money. The carpet on out floor stank. The carpets in the dingy breakfast area were worn stained and pretty horrible.
All clean, great breakfast
Far from 4 star hotel (old rooms are more like 2 stars)
Staff helpful and general areas of hotel nicely laid out and pleasantly decorated. Two restaurants to choose from and walk by river to fjord pleasant. Nice outside terrace if better weather.
Bedroom and room corridors rather dated and tendency for room doors to bang causing some disturbance.
TV, View from room
Squeaky floor
Room is clean, spacious, and exactly as pictured. Beds were comfortable, water in the shower had great pressure, parking was plentiful (though not free), and front desk staff made check-in quick and friendly.
Parking is not free, which seemed unnecessary given the location and space
Good location, great free breakfast, helpful staff, good on-site restaurants. Easy walking to shops, restaurants and the fjord.
We got a room in the old wing of the hotel to start but after complaining about several shortcomings, including some lights not working and the TV not working we were moved to the new wing, in a modern, more comfortable room. However, none of the rooms had luggage racks, a coffeemaker, a safe, tissue or even a phone to call the front desk. Rooms in the new wing did have AC.
The room was very comfortable and the bigger breakfast was tasty and generous
The parking should have the option to pay at the hotel.
Breakfast was very good.
Room was large but very poorly furnished and old fashioned. Place looked run down.
