Villa Ibar

We were surprised by the size of the room, which was actually an apartment. A lot of windows and natural light, right next to the woods. Very good breakfast.

Perfect for us, a group of friends passionate about MTB. Good conditions considering the price we paid. We have been coming to the same place with pleasure for over 5 years.

The location was perfect, we were 5 minutes away from the slopes, surrounded by beautiful forest! Staff were great. The rooms were clean and warm.

Wi fi signal was sometimes weak in our room on the first floor. But it wasn’t an issue for us as we wanted to get away and stay away from our phones and gadgets. The signal was excellent in the lobby where we spent our evening.

The location was fantastically close to the chairlift! The restaurant was very well priced and served delicious food. Breakfast provided was excellent. Fairly quiet location. Very friendly staff. Extremely clean. Loved it and would recommend and also return.

The ski equipment we hired was satisfactory but a bit tired.

Spacious and large room and friendly staff. Clean room. Loved the bath tub after a day un the slopes. Nice and quiet location, but still only 7 min walking distance from slopes! Nice with a fridge in the room. Had a nice sleep as very quiet hotel.

Mould in bathroom, but it's an old property with bathroom with no window. Eventhough a hotel no tea or coffee in the hotel room. Would be good if you had a caffetier in the room so could make a coffee. The breakfast was good but could be better, the eggs were served cold and must have been pre-boiled evening before as blue around the egg yoke. Also breakfast could have been started 7.00 as slopes open 8.15, didn't start until 8.00. The orange juice was very sweet and more like a squash.

Great position just up from slopes, warm, clean, friendly, helpful staff and very good value.

Fantastic little hotel!! What a discovery! Excellent accommodation.Very warm and well kept.That was our fourth visit in Borovets and first time in Villa Ibar. Great location, set in the forest just 3 minutes walk from the lift .Very spacious ,comfortable apartment ,perfect for our family .Well equipped. Lovely ,fresh breakfast .Ski rental on side was a big bonus.We didn’t have time to use a sauna:( Cousy lounge with fireplace and pool table ( very popular with my husband and son).Nice and extremely friendly staff .We hope to go back next year!!

Staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortable. We used ski hire and lockers on site and it is a short walk to the Rila slope for lifts. Had dinner at Villa Ibar one evening which was very good.Would happily stay again

Great little hotel. 5 mins walking to the Sitnyakovo lift. Huge room for myself and 2 kids. Clean and tidy. Cooking facilities were adequate enough to make a couple of dinners. The restaurant is quiet and fantastic. Prices are very good compared to the rest of the town, and we loved the homecooked Sach dishes and other Bulgarian cuising. Breakfast selection is varied and filling. Staff are extremely friendly and there is complementary peppermint tea at reception and a warm lounge area with a fantastic wood burner for evenings.

Ski equipment hire was limited for choice.

Was 4th time staying booked 2 apartments for 4 adults 4 children!7 months in advance! Was told apartments were not available only 1 suite and 1 triple. Ended up 4 adults 1 child is a suite and 3 older kids in the triple. We booked the apartment due to it being ground floor and back problems. It was a struggle to get up and down the stairs.

Very spacious accommodation for groups.Very clean.Very warm and quiet.Second stay here for group ski holiday, would struggle to find anywhere better for location and value

Breakfast staring @ 8am didn’t allow you to get on the slopes very early. Small complaint though. Obviously it’s optional!

The staff was amazing. The traditional food and the food in general in the restaurant was delicious.

The breakfast could be improved.

All recomendations for excelent accommodation. Cozy, comfortable, well equipped, great heating, nice mattresses to sleep on, good food and the nearest ski lift is 3 minutes away - EXCELLENT! I recommend it!!!

- value for money- clean- warm/hot (subjective)- spacious- friendly staff and also very responsive on Booking’s chat- breakfast (usually there are: boiled eggs, omelette/fried eggs, fried sausages, fried bacon, cheese, cucumber and tomatoes, ham, salami, butter, jam, honey and you can also make your own tea, have some juice or grab a bowl of cereals + bread that you can toast) - Personally, I think that’s more than enough for a breakfast, before going on the slopes.- dinner - private sauna is also very nice (can reach really high temperatures, i.e 140 Celsius degrees)- ski storage (even though it gets locked only after 7PM, so, not that safe - not sure if there is CCTV)

- a bit far from the gondola that takes you to the slopes, at the top of the mountains, especially if you have to carry your skies and ski equipment

The service was excellent and the apartment was very spacious and warm. Staff were so helpful and really great in renting us skiing equipment. It’s so close to the ski lifts.
