Insotel Hotel Formentera Playa

The location was pretty much the only good aspect of this totally overpriced hotel. Also the people at the front desk were nice and tried to alleviate the pain of staying in an old, uncomfortable structure for such a high price

the room is old, with cracks on the walls, and mold in the bathroom. The kitchen very poorly designed and basically unusable. This hotel is barely a 2 stars, absolutely not a 4.

Everything was so nice. The staff so accommodating. Breakfast was phenomenal. Location is 15 mins from nicest beaches (clearest waters) but hotel has two pools and on the beach. We rented a car, visited restaurants close by and in Es Pujols. Would DEFINITELY stay here again. Car and moped rental right next to resort. Go see Piero. Good rates.

Would be nice to have ice machine access, but bars did accommodate our request.

Great hotel. Perfect location with beautiful beaches right on your doorstep. Very easy to get to es pujol, about 12-13 euro taxi, Sant Ferran also only a few minutes drive away. Would absolutely go back and stay there again.

If you are not all inclusive the price of drinks in the bar were very expensive.

The room although very basic it was clean. The location is possibly the only reason you would stay there as it’s in the middle of the best beach on the island and has lovely beach cafes and restaurants with great access along the wooden walkway.

The walls seem paper thin and you can hear most things happening in your neighbours room. 5am bin collection every outside our balcony had us requesting a room change which the hotel managed to offer but we ended up changing our check out date due to everything else. The breakfast was below par, pool and pool area made me feel icky. Black mould on the drainage and dirt on sunbeds, the kids had scratched their initials in the pool scum along the inside of the pool where they hold water gymnastics.

Uncomfortable beds, very bad food I get sick twice, there was no water in the room, they didn’t exchange for new towels, ugly beach.

The staff especially were so helpful and friendly. The food was so good, choices and quality. Enjoyed Beach Club lunch

Clean, near the beach, lovely stuff, big rooms with gorgeous design and sea view balconies, lots of variety for the breakfast and great service. I was very happy with the fact that the staff helped to arrange a special birthday request for my husband (balloons) free of charge.

The in-build ventilation was too loud, we couldn’t switch it off and it was hard to fall asleep. Most of the things at breakfast was great, but their juices were disgusting, wasn’t even nearly natural, probably made from some sort of concentrated powder, which is unacceptable considering that that the island has its own production of oranges and it’s cheap enough to be able serve it in the 4-star hotel. The coffee tasted very cheap too.

The location is fantastic, good food, pools and so near best beaches. Some great restaurants within short walk along the boardwalk. The staff are really great. Call out for the staff in South Beach .. Nathalia and Allison. Miguel in the restaurant and Claudia who did our room. Thanks.

Some of the sunbeds could do with being upgraded. Very tired and well worn.

The buffet restaurant is value for money compared to the cost of restaurants on the island.Housekeeping staffs are excellent.

On the second day, early afternoon, we saw some poo at the side of the children's section of one of the outdoor pools. Despite raising the matter to the pool side staff twice, it was left unattended until the following day. It was the pool nearest to the family studio villa, so it was highly unpleasant. Half of the time, the poolside towels are insufficient for guest use.Reception is always understaffed.

the pool was great and the location was very good. The energy in the hotel was amazing, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.

The check-in and check-out experiences are unnecessarily long, in my opinion. They had to print several papers for us to enter, which took 15-20min overall.

No iron in the room, extra charges for basic things like a safe in the room. Generally very basic things not supplied. Sun beds in the beach were charged also. Generally disappointing with respect to facilities. Also there was no cover for staff during siestas, eg towel person/ life guard, massages, salon etc. very limited

Breakfast was very good. The hotel is quite in the center of the island so is pretty near every town and beach.

The room itself and the corrridors look a bit old, with carpet that smell a bit from humidity and dark. It seems like the hotel itself is a bit old and would benefit from an update. Also we wanted a double bed and we got twin beds but were not able to change them.

very nice hotel in Formentera with a nice staff and amazing facilities. the breakfast is AMAZING - with a lot of options and valuable for the price. It is better to have a car or a bike to stay in the hotel - as it is far away from village centers.

great breakfast selection, no waiting. room clean , with balcony and great view. hotel right on beach, fantastic. we had a late flight home and were able to request a late check out for 6pm, that made such a difference , it gave us an extra day really
