    Pros +

    • Great views, peaceful setting and close to a good choice of restaurants and bars. The room was compact but the bed was really comfortable, and room service replenished the complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee etc. on a daily basis. The staff on reception and in the restaurants were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast selection had something for everyone.
    • The staff was friendly, although there was almost always a queue at the reception and I had to wait around 15 minutes each time.
    • Location

    Cons -

    • The bar service was pretty basic and the staff could have been friendlier. The pool was small and there was no atmosphere.
    • My stay at Barceló Hamilton was quite disappointing, as the photos on Booking.com are far from an accurate representation of the actual experience. The rooftop bar, which appears luxurious and inviting in the pictures, in reality only features a few small jacuzzis with freezing cold water, which are more often unusable than relaxing. The atmosphere is nothing like what’s portrayed online. The only pool is located on the ground floor, sunken into a courtyard right next to the breakfast tables and dining room, so if you swim in the morning, you’ll be doing it while everyone watches you eat. The pool is much smaller than it appears in the photos, and since the hotel is positioned in a sort of “pit,” it stays in the shade for most of the day.The hotel is generally very quiet and peaceful, which may suit some, but in my opinion, it’s much more appropriate for elderly guests than for couples or younger travelers looking for energy and ambiance.Additionally, the hallways and lobby feel outdated and worn in person, compared to the sleek and modern aesthetic shown in the photos.
    • The price charged by the hotel was totally disproportionate given the size and quality of rooms and service Breakfast below average

Everything about this hotel is wonderful from the sculpture of the bull in reception to the staff to the hotel rooms which are clean and quirky. Laura is a dream alongside everyone who works on reception. Itzi who does the massage is incredible. Have one you will not be disappointed. The location is the real selling point of this hotel. Right on the harbour to the restaurants. I love it and will be back

Breakfast used to be better. Please can this be improved. Some dishes were cold and undercooked like the harsh browns.

Food was amazing. Drinks tasted great. Staff were very friendly. Views amazing

    8AdamPosted on: 10-20-2024

Rooms very lovely, beds by far some of the comfiest. Breakfast, very basic for a quality hotel. I would say you would need to add more variety, it was very basic.

Gym facility was very aged and didn't have lots of equipment in there. Maybe a tourist hotspot where you would recommend the best places to visit in Menorca? We had to do that all ourselves, it just would have been better to know the best spots around Menorca.

    Super location

Beds too soft and need renewing. Bedding, esp bottom sheet not fitted or tucked in, so constantly loose and very uncomfortable.

    7JeffPosted on: 10-15-2024

    the roof area.

the hot tubs didn't all workbed was uncomfortable food was cold

    8ClairePosted on: 10-14-2024

The view from the room, the rooftop area and hot tubs. The location.

The pool area was too small with no views. However the rooftop made up for this.Quite a corporate look to the public area inside which lacked character.

Didn’t have to fight for sun beds, clean, breakfast and lunch was good

    Dinner could be better

Location, Es Castell is a lovely town. Full of history. Very convenient to visit Maò and close to airport.

    Nothing really.

Spacious, clean room with very comfortable bed and lovely balcony views.Excellent breakfast choiceRooftop bar with excellent panoramic viewsLocation to Mahon and restaurants at Cala FontsVery friendly and professional staff, particularly Sara who attended to our needs on a daily basis and made our stay a very enjoyable one - thank you ?

    Poor gluten free choices

    7JeremyPosted on: 9-24-2024

    Location friendly staff and breakfast

We arrived at 22.45 and not only was the restaurant closed, but there was no room service! We had to go out in the rain to find a bar!

    9CristianePosted on: 9-22-2024

Breakfast was excellent, in the restaurant watching the Mediterranean and sun rise. Fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit, cereal, hot dishes, eggs and omelette cooking station. Vegan, lactose and gluten free options.Hotel suitable for guests on wheelchair. There are ramps and elevators. Location is pleasant and quiet, in a fishing village called Es Castell, just 3 km away from Mahon. Many restaurants nearby and the hotel has two restaurants. Dinner buffet was good.Rooms with sea view get sunshine in the morning.

Note that in the evenings when there is live music entertainment on the ground floor, you can hear the music from the room. You get entertainment whether you want it or not. Luckily the music stops 23:30.

    Not a lot.

Clean, large but no personality. Staff efficient but not friendly. Somewhat sterile. No drawers in bedroom for underwear/socks.£1500 for a room for one overlooking the pool - no harbour view.Taxis can't come to the door. You have to walk 30m up a slope and hope it is yours taxi that's there.Just not my sort of hotel.

LOCATION,LOCATION ,LOCATION OUR ROOM WAS OVERLOOKING THE ESTUARY. CARGO SHIPS AND FERRIES PASSING CLOSE BY. FOOD IN HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF WERE SO FRIENDLY AND SMILING.SUPER LAP POOL FOR OUR SWIM BEFORE BREAKFAST.

    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

    7PeterPosted on: 9-12-2024

Lounge area with really good views.

Meal choices were disappointing as little variety on " main" courses.Grill person seemed to be under pressure

    7JamesPosted on: 9-8-2024

    Nice location,, mostly friendly staff..

No on site restaurant apart from typical buffet..needs more bars

    8JustinPosted on: 9-4-2024

Location, outdoor facilities & breakfast were exceptional

The toilet/shower set up was unusual & there was a damp smell from the shower.

    8HollyPosted on: 8-23-2024

We were unexpectedly upgraded to the junior sea view suite and treated as VIPs for our stay, which was a huge surprise and very gratefully appreciated. The whole hotel had the “wow factor” and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, outdoor pool and our room very much, along with great customer service from the receptionist who checked us in

The tv in our room didn’t work and whilst we reported it immediately, it wasn’t resolved whilst we were there and when I asked reception I was told the engineer had been informed. We were only staying for 2 nights so it didn’t impact our enjoyment, but it would have been nice to use occasionally. We also wish the bathtub had been an option to use, but the shower was very nice
