Parador de La Granja

Difficult to say but the reception on arrival was first class

Location is great.

Internal swimming pool was not available for guests. Only with extra charging spa service. But that pool was overly advertised on the hotel website. That was misleading.

Good location, nice historical building, nice surroundings and nice room.

Room faceing to the town was noisy and we had to close the window and put aircondition, which we don't like.We were missing a coffee machine in the room.

We loved the location, steps away from the Royal Palace of La Granja. The historic building and its renovation are wonderful too. Our room was very spacious, overlooking the restaurant terrace. We enjoyed the swimming pool and a delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend if you visit La Granja de San Ildefonso!

It’s a really spectacular property, very updated and with large, comfortable rooms. The spa is amazing! Especially the hydro massage circuit. I had booked 2 standard rooms for my birthday celebration with my parents and the rooms they gave us were like suites.

Food at the cafeteria wasn’t good and rather pricey. Maybe better lighting in the rooms would be nice, although I am a fan of subdued lighting myself. Also, would have enjoyed watching Netflix on the TV, but no streaming channels available.

From arrival to departure, David, was exceptionally helpful. There are two sections to the Parador complex and one was for conventions. David quickly resolved the problem of locating the correct location. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended

There was little to fault and much to commend

La Granja is a beautiful small village near Segovia and the mountains. The Parador is in a great location.We ordered a superior room and we got a HUGE room in the corner of the building, so we had 4 (openable) windows.so we had great light and air. The bed is super big and comfortable.The bathroom is huge with a shower and a bath. Parking - a very convenient public parking behind the building.Nice Tea & coffee corner in the room with fresh dessert every day!

Minor issues:1. Breakfast - I wish there were some fresh vegetables for breakfast.2. It's a pity that in such a huge room the toilets are inside the bathroom / or there's only one toilet. It could have been nice to have two.

Rooms a bit austere...would have appreciated a nespresso machine or at least a kettle.

Lovely building, huge elegant room and wonderful dinner

It blew me away. It was amazing but does not look like the photo.The room was huge.The surroundings peaceful.

The reception staff did not speak English.

Location is perfect, nice old hotel, specious rooms.

The ugliest swimming pool I have ever seen, there were fences around the swimming pool, which was very ugly and uncomfortable for guests.We had to book the slot for the breakfast which is uncomfortable as well.

Very convinient location for the concerts and visit the town and also for outdoor activities.

No coffee in the room.

Public areas were amazing, lots of history and well looked after.

We were given a small room in a corner of the building, don’t know why as we paid a high rate through booking.com. Maybe they allocate these type of rooms to this Operator which is not fair …. Also the toilet was noisy, running water all the time.

Everything! The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The hotel amenities were wonderful- beautiful pool, great spa! Lovely staff! Amazing breakfast!!! All around an excellent hotel!

No consideration for sustainability. Lots of single use plastic containers and packaging.
