Grand Hotel Terme

The staff of the hotel were exceptional. We had to cut our trip short due to personal reasons and the staff were extremely understanding and friendly, we ended up not paying any extras due to the last minute cancellation but left with wonderful memories of the hotel, the restaurant and the thermal baths. We hope to come back soon to spend more time here.

Be aware

There was an insect flying in the bedroom during the whole night. I could not rest properly. The hotel is old and everything as well. The queen bed is not real, as they put two twins beds together as one.

I liked that the hotel was very big and was very comfortable.??

The towels and sheets didn’t smell nice.

The place is a bit oldish but overall comfortable.One extra point for the breakfast!

A bit old style

The hotel is big and spacious, breakfast was really good. There's ample parking in the facility and if you have small kids then the grounds are gated which is nice since you don't have to worry about them heading off.

It's a very outdated hotel, mainly used for elderly Italian people, they even have doctors practicing in the facility. The Terme (hot springs) are extra pay, and they're quite expensive on a per person basis. Since the grounds are spacious, the facilities are not so close to one another which is not super comfy.

Beautiful location, very kind staff, very good breakfast and meals. Quiet area ideal for a relaxing stat, right next to thermal pool.

Resto is open only 1hour, and not a big choice in the bar. Good service . Good breakfast

Tap water tasted strange.Offering at bar is limited.Blankets were a bit thin. They had extra but those were a bit too much.

Older but charming hotel, very quiet and in a nice green surrounding, with free safe parking, modern and clean room/bathroom. Friendly/professional staff, good/varied breakfast, fine and fairly priced restaurant. Excellent thermal pool and other facilities. Recommended.

A bit uncomfortable double bed, being made by joining two single ones

Very good breakfast and dinner. Very clean large comfortable room and bathroom. This hotel is located in a park with many iluminated features (heart shape, half-moon, butterfly and many more) placed throughout the grounds.

The staff was very kind and friendly. Supplied us with drinks at the bar even late in the evening. The hotel is from 1870 and the entrance hall and dining rooms are beautiful. It lies in an old park which is also quite charming. The room and bathroom were clean.

Our hotel room was judging by the furniture last re-decorated in the 80s. The stool in the bathroom fell apart and the water for the toilet seized working in the middle of the night. The grand charm di una volta has cracks. We also had no bathrobes in our room and hence could not use the spa facilities we had come for.

Disappointing - not 4*

We arrived in the dark after a very long drive and were a little confused as to the entrance and parking. Reception was efficient and we were soon in our room but not particularly impressed. We’d asked for a double bed, we got two singles together. It didn’t look like the photos, there was only two bottles of water in the mini bar (advertised), no slippers, dressing gown daily newspapers - all advertised. We asked to change rooms for a proper double bed and we’re told that is normal in Italy but they found us a double in a cold room in the Terme part of hotel. The room appeared smaller but we were exhausted so stayed put. We had to call reception and await to receive towels for showering for dinner. Reception called whilst we were showering to say that the restaurant will be closing so we must come now if we want dinner. Dinner was extremely rushed, the waitress packing away whilst we ate. We weren’t offered drinks except a bottle of water. The food was average at best and the main (lamb) was over cooked and served with mayonnaise & bbq sauce on the side. This is listed as a 4* hotel…… it is under new management and is definitely not 4* - 3 would suit it better. Upon leaving we were given a pack of local bread and asked to give a 10 score review. Very unprofessional and certainly not worthy

Very friendly and helpful staff, the food was great, the historic grandeur of the building, the beautiful old lift adds to the character and so much fun, a wonderful last minute booking took us to this magnificent place .

A classic Italian terme destination steeped in history, with exceptionally kind staff. The terme is located nearby in a picturesque park, offering a perfect spot for relaxation. Enjoy a traditional Italian-style breakfast, complete with white tablecloths, creating an elegant and serene atmosphere. A truly delightful escape into the timeless charm of Italy.

The building features a charming, old-style elevator that perfectly complements its historic architecture, adding to the unique character and ambiance of the place, though it may not be the most convenient to use.

Amazing staff, big rooms and an EV charger on site which was super convenient. Breakfast was outstanding

The hotel is part of a park with mineral baths and has preserved its authentic exterior and interior style. The breakfast is extremely rich. The place is very quiet, peaceful, and romantic. The rooms are simply furnished, just right—neither more nor less. They are perfectly adequate for both short and long stays with guaranteed good sleep (we recommend long stay). The hotel is equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets, ensuring comfort. The restaurant offers a daily menu that is not only well-balanced and diverse but also very reasonably priced. Kudos to the kitchen! The reception staff is very helpful. We will definitely return. Thank you!

Very nice stylish hotel with period features from the beginning of the last century, located the same park as the Terme of Riolo. Very nice green area, quiet, the rooms are comfortable, good beds, the staff is very welcoming and helpful. Good to spend a couple of days there, relaxing at the Terme and enjoying the area.

The evening meal in the restaurant could be improved. It seems that it was of a lower quality than overall level of the service. Breakfast was nice though, with enough options, savory and sweet.
