    Pros +

    • Location. Front desk staff was super helpful. He even helped me make a reservation for the fast train from m A Coruna to Santiago.
    • Nice hotel, good breakfast. Laundromat about two blocks away. Be aware that for some odd reason, many restaurants in town are closed on Tuesdays. Very weird.
    • Very good location for Camino Ingles pilgrims. Also for tourist visiting Betanzos because it is a few minutes walking from the main plaza. Pretty decent old style hotel. I did not care about tv but the unit was really small.

    Cons -

    • Bathroom was somewhat malodorous
    • The property was nice. And very quiet at night.
    • Air conditioner was not working. We asked the front desk and they gave us 2 options.Option 1 - wait until it cools off and open the windowsOption 2 - wait until 11pm until maintenance person arrivesNeither option was optimal.

rooms large and clean. lovely baths in all our rooms, just down from the town square. great value breakfast in the attached cafe. the young man there was superb. great selection to choose from. lovely pizza place on way to square, 100 yards to camino trail

    rooms a bit dated

Arranged in advance for check-in at 1, and when I got there they didn’t want to do it. Finally agreed.

    Clean and spacious

No coffee making facilities for the price paid.. seems all hotels in Galicia don't offer this

Comfortable room close to Camino Ingles. Nice breakfast.

    8AprilPosted on: 5-7-2025

Convenient for Camino travellers ?Very Friendly and accommodating staffA/C was welcomed!

The beds were not comfortable and felt odd to not have a mattress cover - only an ill fitted sheet that we needed to keep adjusting so we weren’t sleeping directly on mattresses.

    Comfortable and clean.

Near the town centre. Modern decor.

Great hotel to stay on the Camino Ingles. A few minutes walk from the centre of town. The lady at reception was very welcoming when we arrived wet and tired after a long walk. She recommended a restaurant close by, which was superb. Rooms are warm and very comfortable. Breakfast had good choices and worth having if you have an early start.

Very convenient for the Camino, clean, comfortable, helpful staff.

Very close to a disco very very loud, shouting all night until 6 am, no sleep at all.

The helpful friendly staff make this hotel

Hotel is dated, squeaky beds, derelict car park, noisy rooms

    Room clean and comfortable

There was nobody there until the morning when I left... I mean nobody!! No staff on reception or anywhere else even though the description states it's manned 22 hrs a day. I hate to think of the potential risk of litigation if I had an injury or there was a fire and there was nobody there to respond. It was spooky. There was no bar, although the description said there was one. There was no cafeteria or kettle in the room to make my own. For the amount I paid I would expect more than just an ensuite room. Having to walk to a cafe just so I could have a coffee, I don't feel is acceptable. A shame really because physically and decoratively it's a nice hotel.

The staff were very helpful and professional, The hotel is a beautiful old building which has been refurbished to a high standard, it is in a central location near restaurants bars and shops, it also has an underground carpark which is easy to access.

    All the above.

The room and bathroom is clean. The place seems nice and well kept. The town where this is located is nice. Lots of grocery places to choose from. There are restaurants you can eat at the entrance of this town.

The breakfast didn’t have hot food. It’s mostly bread, croissants, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, jams and butter. It’s a preference. The breakfast place is detached from the hotel. It was raining and luckily there’s an umbrella to use to walk to the breakfast place. Not a big deal.

The woman who served breakfast was helpful and kind, as was the woman who checked us in.

Beds were okay but not great.
