    Pros +

    • The prise, location and it was clean.
    • Clean rooms, with a small kitchenette
    • Very good value for money, our room was perfect for a couple: twin beds, bathroom, even a kitchenette. The location is also good.

    Cons -

    • No reception, you had to pick up key at another hotel….
    • The parking spots behind the hotel could've been marked a bit more clearly.
    • Even if we were 4, the additional beds in the main room were not prepared for us and had to struggle with in the limited available space. The bathroom was old, not properly maintained. The general appearance was old, shabby, budget accommodation.

The hotel is very near to the train station, my room was equipped with a small kitchen perfectly working, and the temperature during winter was perfect. Also, communication was easy, fast, and very kind. Highly recommended!

Close to the city center, on the main road, free parking.

Even if we were 4, the additional beds in the main room were not prepared for us and had to struggle with in the limited available space. The bathroom was old, not properly maintained. The general appearance was old, shabby, budget accommodation.

Big space, clean, nice to have room on first floor when you have a dog.

Bed wasn't very soft, but if you like a hard mattress it's OK. Also being dog friendly and having steep stairs to sleeping area wasn't really ideal.

    Good position, comfy room.

    No lift

Value for money, big room, kitchenette, close to centre, free on site parking

For me, Hotel Svartisen really exceeded my expectations: my room was clean, quiet, and surprisingly large! Parking was very easy right behind the hotel, the loft bed felt very cosy, and I liked the bathroom with its nicely heated floor. While the hotel did not offer breakfast, there is a large shopping centre and grocery store within walking distance, and on either side of the block are restaurants if one prefers to eat out. My room included a small kitchenette, so home-cooked meals are also an option for the budget-conscious.

The ladder going up to the loft bed was quite steep, and may not be easily accessible for everyone. The central ventilation system was very loud, but luckily shut off in the evening. The curtains were too short to close fully, which invited both light in, as well as views from anyone passing by.

    Cheap, fridge and good enough

Has a kitchenette with stove but no microwave oven.

A funky room with all the necessities for cooking. A good TV, and good programming

    7ChristiaanPosted on: 4-3-2024

We had I nice room for the money.

I had to pick up the key in an other hotel, It was not clear to me when I booked the hotel.

In short words. The price was just too good for the offered services. Friendly staff and quiet room. The best you can get if you need to lay overnight.

Can't say since there was anything unpleasant since I've booked very late in the night and they have offered me their best.

Nice big room with fridge, sink, and everything you need to make breakfast in your room. Beds were comfortable enough, tv in the room and decent bathroom.

Shower wall was a bit broken, but nothing major. Could hear the cars on the road outside, which was ok, but you could hear everything going on in the hallway. Which is a bit annoying when travelling with a dog.

    7Marius-leonardPosted on: 12-17-2023

It was very clean and perfect temperature in the room with a lot of services for cooking even an refrigerator. The bathroom is very big and nice arranged but it will be better with a hair dryer on the winter period.

You must do the check-in into another hotel at 300-400m away to get the room acces card.It doesn't exist an elevator and if you have a couple of heavy baggage you must change the room for a ground level one or carry them one by one upstairs. It can be easily with a locker or special room for this.

    Great location.

A little confusing at first with unlocking the room door.No wifi

    5NoorshahidaPosted on: 10-6-2023

The only good thing is the location of the hotel.

The process to check in was troublesome. First, we have to go to another hotel for the check in process. Second, we didn't received the pass-code to the hotel as we were going to check in late. We did informed that we were going to check in at midnight and the staff should straight away give us the pass-code to the hotel. The point is we received the pass-code in the next day from the booking.com chat. Third, the hotel gave us some spooky and spine-chill vibe during the stay and it seems that we were the only one that stay there and we did experienced "something" during our stay.

    8DianePosted on: 8-18-2023

No breakfast included. The location close to the train station, and the price of the room, were both great. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The room was right on a main street of the town, and a bit noisy when motorcycles zoomed by 10 feet away. But the ability to quickly walk to the hotel from the train station outweighed the minor nuisance of a few noisy motorcycles.

the room has a small kitchen which was a plus for me, you need to pay for parking

place look outdated but is good enough for one night
