Great location if traveling from Germany to Italy. Staff always great. Perfect for my dog with fields to run around in.

We were las at breakfast and there was little left. The roomed a decent size but with three beds in it there was little space left. Piotta is a semi-deserted small village where there is little to do or to see.

It was what we expected

The dinner and dinner staff was good. The guy serving dinner was great , serving with a smile.

My stay at Motel Gottardo Sud was a complete disaster, primarily due to the unacceptable behavior of the breakfast staff and receptionist. The breakfast lady (white hair, white dress, and red jacket) was extremely rude and even shouted at us when we simply asked for assistance. To make matters worse, the breakfast itself was pathetic, with hardly any items to eat, making the entire experience frustrating and unpleasant.What’s even more shocking is the constant and invasive staring from both the breakfast lady and the receptionist (black hair). They behaved as though the guests were going to steal something, offering absolutely no privacy and making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout. This kind of hostile behavior is not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable, and it felt outright discriminatory.The management must take immediate action against these staff members, as they clearly have no understanding of respect or customer service.To future guests: stay far away from this hotel if you value privacy, decency, and a welcoming atmosphere. The rude staff, poor breakfast, and overall unpleasant experience make this place one to avoid at all costs. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

The rooms were not clean. Hairs in the sink, on the pillow and also on the sheets. Also the floors were dusty and there were definitely remainders from the previous guests on the bathroom floor (bread pieces etc.).

The motel is situated close to the Gotthard Pass and Gotthard Tunnel. For me it was an ideal place to stop being 7 hours drive from home. The staff were exceptional taking first class care of us. The meals in the restaurant were simple, tasty, and a good size. Exceptional value for money and just right for a tired traveller. The rooms were quiet and facilities (other restaurants, fuel, post office etc all close to hand.

Nothin this was an enjoyable stay made special by the snowfall as we arrived.

Super easy to find hotel. only a few kilometers from Southside of the tunnel. perfect halfway point when traveling from Germany to Italy.

Rooms were more than sufficient, standard hotel stuff.Free parking in front of building, very close to highway and Gotthart tunnel.Spacious and simple hotel.

Breakfast could have been better, we came rather late that morning and most was already gone and nothing got filled back up. Dinner was very limited in choice and quality wasn't great (very affordable though)

Dinner had very limited choice but what we did have was OK.Breakfast a bit of a let down as there was a coach party in at the same time. Very little food left & nobody was replenishing it. Only one member of staff seemed to be responsible.For the price we paid, I would have expected better.

Staff were all very friendly and the hotel is a perfect stopover for a driving holiday. Big bank of Tesla chargers and secure storage for bicycles. Bicycle room has all the kit you need to maintain and prepare your bikes. Very impressed. Breakfast and dinner options all very tasty

Great Location for an overnight stopover. Staff was accomodating of my large vehicle and let me park in the grass across from the parking lot.

No air conditioning, but that's to be expected in this region. Opened a window and everything was great even in mid August

Breakfast and the common areas in the hotel are excellent. There are very comfortable chesterfield chairs but limited space to sit outside.We had three evening meals which were good value and very generous portions.All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, but this, or course, is in the Italian part of Switzerland !

This is a hotel for single overnight stays and it is billed as a Motel. It is therefore understandable that the rooms are all identical and that they are somewhat small. Also, there is no aircon. It is therefore not really ideal for a longer stay.For Switzerland, it proved to be excellent value and what it does provide is great. We would definitely go back.

The bike room had ample space to store bikes. Thankfully, I didn't need any of the tools, but I was able to make sure my tires were topped off before any ride.The dining area is pretty great as well. You can easily find your room number on the table. The breakfast is perfect for fueling before a ride and the staff quickly tops off any drinks or items running low. Dinner service is also great with a handful of all delicious options.Conveniently, the funicular is also nearby so you can start your hike with a view of the valley.

My tiniest complaint was that I wanted something more road bike friendly. Due to the skinny wheels, the spokes of the wheels rested on the rack which was probably fine, but it made me a little bit anxious.
