Pros +

• It was a peaceful location and the host was pleasant. There were nice flowers growing in the wild.

Cons -

• We arrived a little earlier but this was acceptable by the host. Unfortunately our stay wasn't as hoped! We had to contact Booking.com to make a complaint. Our vehicle exhaust was damaged as a result of the treacherous mountain track climb to the property. It's uneven and rocky. Other visitors appeared to have experienced the same thing. The track is not well suited to cars. The host was a nice guy and it is difficult to be objective but this is a review based upon our experience... The property needs some considerable work, there were lights hanging off the wall in the living room. A light switch and wires hanging off the wall in the kitchen. There was a wood fire in the living room but this was difficult to control as it would burn out after about 90 minutes. The rest of the property had no heating control! Woke up and wanting a shower, it was cold at 15 degrees and the bath towels were wet! The bottom of the shower was also grubby so I didn't use it. Whilst the property did have a number of facilities it lacked some quite basic essentials. There was no can or bottle opener or bread knife etc. The front door only had a sliding latch on the inside which made me feel insecure when travelling with a child. The general feeling of the property and surroundings was it seemed neglected. It was a real shame!
