Pros +
- Clean, comfortable. Great location.
- This hotel's location is truly excellent, sitting right in the heart of Trujillo. It’s quiet at night and easy walking access to all tourist attractions. The room was spacious.
- A former castle just 1 minute from the main town square. The room was huge. Very nice atmosphere.
Cons -
- Car access was tricky—it was a bit of a challenge to navigate to the entrance. Additionally, the nearest public parking was a 10-minute walk away, which was inconvenient with luggage. For the price point, we expected a slightly higher quality of amenities and hospitality. That said, we had a generally good stay overall.
- Breakfast was good but a little boring.
- Difficult to navigate to the car park and through the building.

El personal del hotel particularmente Luz y Juango fueron muy amables y nos ayudaron durante la estancia haciendo de Trujillo un destino memorable.
Beautiful Hotel, confort, location, staff and size of the room. very nice views from my room. everything excellent!
Great decoration and repurposed of a historic building.
Difficult to navigate to the car park and through the building.
Getting there with the car is a bit of a challenge. But the location is superb. Staff is great. We had a huge room.
Location was perfect. Close to all shopping and dining choices, which were plentiful. Breakfast was ample, daily lunch menu was excellent. The dining room was in the center of the building, had tall ceilings and a nice layout. The room was cozy, with a comfortable bed, nice shower and everything we needed for our comfort.
The second morning, due to low occupancy, the breakfast was not served in the dining room. We opted to go to the bar and order food there, which was fine.
great location, overlooking the plaza major. Perfect view from our room over the plaza and the surrounding landscape.Great breakfast, excellent value for money.
you might get lost with all the hallways, never found the parking
Style and architecture of hotel. Location was fantastic just by the Plaza Mayor. Car Park had the most scenic views ever and to drive to and from car park was in a class of its own!
Location is excellent
Parking - not free - is rather inconvenient, being away from the hotel and involving a lot of stairs to get from and back to. Difficult to take bags to it when leaving. It's hard to get to the hotel using Google Maps, which sends you through the narrow streets of the old quarter. Easy access is via Avenida de la Coronación, which becomes Calle Garcia de las Paredes before you turn right into Calle Ballesteros right behind the church. While the hotel receptionist was helpful with the route out of the old quarter, I believe the hotel should routinely advise those coming to the hotel in a car of this (much easier) route to the hotel via the roads cited above. We were not the only guests misled by Google Maps, causing frustration and irritation . . .
Close to center
Finding Parking but offer service to park. I also received a spam email with my details to cancel and confirm reservation. Be careful. The hotel are aware of this. Booking.com to be advised
Very well located
worn down rooms, below average quality of mattresses, no bath robes or flippers
Room and bath very large but tired. Okay view onto the main square, good central location.
No air conditioning as advertised. Room was infested with houseflies when windows were left open to cool hot and stuffy room. Lack of an onsite bar or restaurant more of a downside than I anticipated. No liveliness to this hotel.
Room 002 is very spacious, overlooking the square at an angle from the window. Separate shower cubicle inside the bathroom. Loads of room to relax, 2 sofas. Mini fridge. The main square is outside the front doorIt really is a lovely place, lots of different rooms located in alcoves
Beware of parking and very narrow streets. The hotel needs to guide you to the parking which is above and behind the hotel, it is not covered but secure It is not good for very large cars and nervous drivers. To get from the parking back to the hotel, the hotel needed to show me as you have to go all around town. Complicated but no problem. A bit of fun and a result of being a historic old town.Only downside was the rubbish being collected from right under our window at 05:30 which was pretty noisy!
Lovely big rooms in a lovely building and perfect location.
Although almost in Plaza Mayor finding the hotel wasn’t straight forward as the road had a temporary no entry sign.Once at the hotel finding the car park was another challenge which would be helped by signage. With the gates open there was nothing to indicate the car park.
Spacious room and great breakfast. Helpful friendly staff on reception and in dining room.
Room starting to look a bit tired with water damage to the floor near the windows.
location and staff were excellent
Very average breakfast {no fried egg option) and , most importantly, no laundry facility -I had been travelling for several days and need clothes washing
The hotel is located in the very center, it used to be a castle. Everything is very beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and clean
The magnificient building, great staff.
Somehow complicated to navigate inside
