About
Housed in the beautiful old convent of Santa Clara, the Parador de Trujillo hotel is the perfect place to enjoy peace and tranquility in the historic city of Trujillo. Spend the day relaxing by the swimming pool in this hotel in summer. Here you can sunbathe on one of the sun loungers surrounding the pool, then take a dip to cool off. There is a snack bar onsite, where you can sample local-style cuisine, with modern touches. After dinner, you can sit back with a drink in the bar and enjoy the company of family or friends. Admire the 2 fantastic cloisters in the interior of the building, where you can relax and enjoy a read bathed by natural light.

Very well located, comfortable big rooms and nice pool to chill out at the end of the day.
Very luxurious propertyHuge bedEasy parkingHelpful staff who arranged packed breakfastGreat social space
Not as central as some other properties we had stayedBreakfast only started at 8
The staff was friendly and serviceminded.
The restaurant was expensive and the food somewhat below expectations. Breakfast was only one staff as far as we could see present and the selection of food was mostly cakes and sweets fruits. OK for those who like that type of breakfast, but it was not our expected food. I would like to add that there was quite a lot of internal refurbishments and outside work in the surrounding streets which I think the management should have informed us in the application we sent.
The location was superb for visiting the walled town. The hotel facilities, rooms & breakfast were excellent.
Our stay was fine but not exceptional Location was good and building was beautiful
Certain members of staff needed training in courtesy, they were not friendly or accommodating We were given a room overlooking the nearby houses where a dog was constantly barking. This was obviously a ongoing issue This seemed strange considering the hotel was EXTREMELY quiet, why would they not put guest at the other side of the hotel? There were lots of small issues which were not up to the usual standard of a Parador , I would have mentioned these when checking out but unfortunately no interaction from reception staff so decided it wasn’t worth expressing my opinion Completely lacking any atmosphere
Large rooms, very clean, nice bathroom, excellent food. In particular we loved the regional focus of the food offered.
There were renovation works going on.
Nice features
Woken up at 4am with what sounded like banging doors which went on for some time. Also restaurant had no ambience with harsh lighting.
Large spacious room.
We had to vacate the room on arrival as it smelt heavily of cigarette smoke and had to have air purification, it didn’t solve the room for the 3 nights we stayed. The maids should report smokers to the housekeeper and they should be fined.
Staff very helpfull. Fast check-in, check-out.Quiet room and with square pillow available...Nice bathroom with everything (with bathtub).Very good breakfast and good restaurant.Location perfect to get to the city center.
The window is very small and high, hence not much natural light in the room. Had to use electricity even during the day...
Beautiful interior and close to the town centre.
I don't like having to book the time I have breakfast in advance and when we arrived late for our breakfast, the reception was icy.
Everything. Huge room in a beautiful old building. Good parking too and in heart of old town.
Perfect location just 5 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor, comfortable room/bed, usual high standard of choice for breakfast, friendly staff.
Lovely old building beautifully restored and modernised.Very good dinner and breakfast.
Lighting system in rooms: digitalisation gone crazy! Up to 6 runners on a single switch - all with Spanish only labels. Terrible in the dark while trying to be quiet!Electricity system that has lighting main connected to socket main. If the fan we asked for is on, then the lights are on!!! Had to plug into tv to solve the problem.
Large room, nice location and friendly staff
The stay was pleasant, the staff very professional and kind, the food and the services were excellent
The silence and tranquility
Rooms are spacious. Good night’s sleep. Good breakfast and evening meal.
Location at the heart of the city just a short walk from the main square. The property was like being in your own castle
Only challenge for a motorcyclist was the uneven parking places
