    Pros +

    • We enjoyed our stay. It's a nice, quaint hotel that is family run with a very kind and accommodating staff. Prices at the cocktail bar are a bit high, but the views of Positano are great. Easy access to the beach if you're willing to walk the ~560 stairs!
    • The spectacular view, Staff was very friendly and accommodating
    • Beautiful Hotel Has a pretty big footprint for a property on the coast. View is AMAZING The location is ideal, near great restaurants and sights. The staff are lovely Welcome drink upon our arrival was extremely thoughtful gesture. Just minor fixes

    Cons -

    • Only disappointment was the false advertising on the "pool" which fits about 2 people..
    • Room was very hot, don’t think the air conditioning was adecúate , we did requested a fan and we got one. 100 too many steps to get to the Main Street and there was no pool. The shower was to small
    • Thin walls Room too cold at night, thermostat kaput Outdoor water tub is unheated and too cold to use unless it's a hot summer day Charging 5 Euros for a single hardboiled egg is unacceptable Mediocre Coffee Restaurant lighting way too bright

The hotel has an amazing view and an even better staff. They were kind, attentive and helpful. We fell in love with Positano and are so glad we chose to stay at Hotel Conca D'oro for our honeymoon. Free WiFi & Breakfast. The restaurant is delicious!

Great location in Fornillo. Beautiful property and stunning views. Great food at anytime of the day.

    Thin walls.

The hotel is beautiful and bright. The service was excellent and thoughtful. Alexandro and Antonio were extra attentive and kind. Breakfast is top notch! Can’t wait to come back.

Hotel Concadora is one of the oldest and most beautiful establishments in Positano, and it radiates elegance from the moment you arrive. Our room was absolutely classy, with a balcony overlooking stunning views of the coast. While many hotels in Positano may share a similar view, what truly set this hotel apart was the extraordinary level of curated service. For my wife’s birthday, the staff went above and beyond with a once-in-a-lifetime setup — luxurious decorations and thoughtful touches that made the occasion unforgettable. The atmosphere throughout the hotel carried sophistication, warmth, and good vibes, making it a place we would gladly return to. The location is also excellent, right along the Positano road, offering convenience while still feeling private and serene.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike — perhaps just that leaving such a beautiful and welcoming place was the hardest part. (Be ready for a lot of steps!)

Beautifully decorated, especially the tile work, fantastic views, exceptional service, delicious breakfast included, restaurant and bar on site.

Elevations, too many steps, high humidity in the room, far from the beach, no parking.

Very lovely and clean room with amazing view. Staffs are super nice and helpful. Great breakfast.

It’s up on the hill so requires quite a climb up the stairs to get to. In exchange for the good view :) so just beware if you’re not very in shape

The view from the hotel was spectacular. The hotel has a beautiful bar and outdoor terrace for dining. Our room had a very small terrace with a spectacular view.

The reception staff was rude and unhelpful, despite saying they were there to help. We had a few complaints during our stay and the front desk ladies were very rude and unkind. Not at all what we expected for such a pricey hotel. The bartenders were nice as were the waiters at the included breakfast. Important that guests are aware there are long steep stairs you must climb to get to the hotel. We arrived by Ferry and were never made aware of the difficulty of transporting your luggage to the hotel. There are porters (not part of the hotel) who are at the dock and offer to take your luggage to your hotel. We were not made aware of this, despite calling the hotel with questions, and were caught off guard when we had various porters approach us. They are able to take the luggage but you must give them the luggage, prepay for their services and hope your luggage is at the hotel when you arrive. Luckily, we had no issues and received all of our luggage but it would have been helpful to know this information to make our arrival less hectic and stressful. The walk up to the hotel is about 25 - 30 minutes with areas of steep climbing. It is difficult to get a taxi and it takes just as long to arrive to the hotel, due to the traffic. Once we were situated and learned the way up and down into the town area, it was fine but initially we found getting to the hotel to be difficult. The difficulty could have easily been avoided with more clear directions from the hotel. The unpleasant experience with the front desk staff on various occasions made us unlikely to ever stay at this hotel upon our return. There are many other hotels that are more easily accessible that would not make you feel like you are bothering them for simply asking a question. This was the only place we stayed in over 2 weeks in Italy where we were treated so poorly.

Good choice. Spectacular view from the terrace.

Nohing really. The location of the hotel required a lot of walking up and down every day so a good physical condition is required.

View from the room and all areas of the hotel are beautiful. It is more of a boutique hotel. The decor of the hotel itself is very inviting and is in the style of the Amalfi Coast. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony and views. The restaurant served good food. There are daybed lounges on a patio with lovely views.

The bathroom was too small and did not have enough room around the sink. The jacuzzi-sized pool on the patio was cold-only, and not hot. It's too small for a pool, but not hot for a jacuzzi. I would suggest they get heat for cool days or evenings. One of the staff members was a little abrupt and rude while the others were kind, friendly, and professional. I would advise them to address this. Due to being a small hotel, each room has + and - to its locations. Some close to the restaurant may have more noise and less privacy on their patios, etc. Inquire about the location and what you are looking for. The masseuse was not in-house and was terrible and required cash-only payment which was a surprise that we could not pay on a card.

    Unbeatable views

Property is accessed via steep stairs which made carrying luggage difficult (that’s Positano!). Buffet breakfast could be better

The property has an amazing view. The room on the lower level was really nice and 1/2 the price of floor 4.

Limited complimentary breakfast is included. Some staff are not friendly at all. One waiter was really kind and accommodating. I asked for something on day one and heard the waiter say, “well she thinks she’s the boss!” He was not one but friendly- kind of uncomfortable at times. Very disappointing. We actually almost checked out and were going to go to another hotel. I’m comparing this to the hotel we stayed at in Sorrento and the staff there were absolutely amazing.

The view was amazing. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is on a hill, but the hotel arranged people to carry our bags up. The waiters were very attentive. The staff at reception were also great. They assisted us with restaurant reservations in places where we couldn't get our own reservations. They also assisted with booking our boat tour.

The view from this room was spectacular, the size of the balcony was great, we loved how bright the interior was, the hotel was impeccably clean, and after stopping into other hotels for services we realized how lucky we were to be at this hotel where 95% of staff greeted with a smile and helping hand, and had a level of professionalism other hotels and restaurants lacked. It was wonderful that they had a young man come and carry our luggages up the many stairs. We felt so bad for him having to carry all that weight! Reception provided great recommendations for our trip to Ravello and a very professional taxi service for around Positano as well. We also appreciated the breakfast options.

Our shower/bathtub was leaking out of the base, so we informed the front desk upon leaving the second day and although they said they would have someone look into it, it continued soaking our entire room throughout our stay so we had to use our towels to soak up the water so we didn't slip on slick tiles. The shower-tub itself is also fairly dangerous to get in and out of, due to its height and concave sides and there not being any handles. It was also quite narrow so shower curtain would stick to arms while trying to shower. The bathroom overall was quite visibly outdated and the door into the space impeded quite a bit into the space. Toilet paper was not placed on the stand and rather above our heads on shelf in its packaging. There was no spare toothbrush or q-tips provided. Teas and [instant] coffees were disheveled in their tin. While there was a large closet and an abundance of room to hang clothing, there was a real lack of shelving inside of closet so we had to resort to using the tiny drawers and shelves inside of nightstands across the room from closet. The room could really use a dresser or the addition of shelves on one side of the closet. There was also no full length mirror in the room or hotel; One could easily be installed on the backside of one of the doors of the closet. Some Italian art inside of the room would have been a good addition. The vaulted ceilings were beautiful, and we felt a gorgeous antique chandelier could have really made a statement like in other parts of the hotel, however perhaps hanging fixtures can be dangerous. (Just comments from an interior designer!)

Good views around Positano from hotel.

Stairs to reach hotel. For diabled and elderly, it will be difficult.

VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR! HOT TUB ON OUR TERRACE WAS AMAZING AND A PERFECT WAY TO SPEND OUR 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! BOTTLE OF PROSECCO ON ARRIVAL DELIVERED TO OUR ROOM WAS A LOVELY UNEXPECTED SURPRISE :)DINNER IN THE HOTEL WAS ALSO REALLY LOVELY - STAFF WERE ALL SO NICE - HIGHLY RATE THIS HOTEL!

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT - THE ONLY THING, WHICH IS VERY MINOR, BUT WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION, WOULD BE IF THEY OFFERED A SHUTTLE SERVICE (LIKE A GOLF KART) TO THE BEACH/ MAIN AREA. ALTHOUGH ONLY A 10 MINUTE WALK I DID NOTICE A LOT OF OTHER HOTELS OFFERED THIS SERVICE.
