Pros +
- The view from the terrace.
- The views from the rooms are fantastic. They loan beach towels, but be prepared to take a very steep walk to a GREAT beach. Tip: walk down and take the bus back up. Also google maps is wrong. Take the bus there when you arrive our you may be walking up up
- Beautiful view and loved our own private balcony. Updated bathroom with great shower. Cozy and quaint setting. Quiet rooms. Friendly staff.
Cons -
- We had no hot water. Showers were lukewarm at best. The bed was very uncomfortable. It¿s basically two twin mattresses pushed together and there is a seam down the middle. When you move or roll over the seam gets bigger.
- You have to pay for coffee with coins and have to ask for breakfast even though it was included in the rate. So we didn't get breakfast the either of the two mornings we were there.
- Only real complaint was all the stairs from the port/ beach to get to the hotel (like over 500) and then to get to other restaurants, shops, beaches. This is really more of just the town of Positano……. However the directions specifically emailed to us from hotel included a path with more steps and narrow dark walk ways then what the staff shared to us in the last day of a better way to go. So give your guests the “better” directions (then it might be only like 400 stairs).

I like the owner and the staff❤️???. The owner is very kind and giving useful information. The view is great on our room, the room is cute. The coffee in the morning is great with the view from our room
Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms in a convenient location in Positano.
We have no complaints.
The Staff was Warm and Attentive . The views were Amazing and Stunning.Be sure to get rooms with a balcony and full view of the Positano coastline.DO ONLY TRAVEL with ONE SUITCASE! Location makes it beautiful yet physically challenging.
The balcony viewThe staff are amazing
its not the property i think its about the very noisy couple that stayed nextdoor, couldn't sleep because of them..would be great if there will be soundproofing in the futureNo TV.
At a walking distance from other good locations in Positano, and close to a great beach
Weren’t available on Booking chat and phone, we didn’t know if it was possible to check in earlier at the day of arrival so we spent a couple of hours with our luggage waiting in town
Very nice hosts, and overall accommodating and communicative, happy to help. Clean, very good value place in a good location. Nice recommendations both in person and on their mini website. Curfew is no-issue for anyone active and planning to do things there.
Great value. The location is quite good as well, close to main road where there are multiple restaurants.
Very clean and STUNNING view. The history and story behind the hotel was extremely heartwarming…..The owner was born there when it was originally his grandparent’s hotel and he has kept it running.
We loved it all but give better detail on how to use the bus and getting to the hotel via the ferry docks.
Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room. Nice location and view.
The view
The towels were as rough as sandpaper. There was no breakfast. The room was small. The bed was hard.
Very nice place to stay in Positano! :)The room was clean and comfortable, with enough space for two. The room was cleaned every day during our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even gave us tips on where to go and what to visit. The way to get to the hotel includes many stairs and uphill climbs, but that’s normal in Positano. The room had air conditioning and a mini fridge. They offer two coffee capsules and tea, and you can choose to include breakfast for an additional fee.The place has a balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the view (photos). There’s a beach nearby and many restaurants (highly recommended). It's about a 20-minute walk from the main dock.
The water tends to leak out of the shower box during the shower, but it was manageable.
OMG the view is unbelievable. Get the room on the end with the side window if you can (room 25 or 26) because then you get a cross-breeze out the balcony and you don't need any air conditioning! Staff were very pleasant and helpful. If you're wondering whether you should pay the porters to bring you bags up, DO IT. You can schlep your bags bag down if you're feeling athletic, but let yourself enjoy the walk up to the Pensione. Also, they will recommend Mediterraneo restaurant: YES. Go. Other guests were cool and respectful too.
I mean, Positano is nothing if not a ton of stairs, up and down. That's essentially what makes it so picturesque. So, after a few days, your knees will be sore. But that not the Pension's fault! ;-)
The interior (the style, the windows, etc), the shared terrace and the shared dining hall, the view from there was perfect!
The air conditioner worked only in the fan mode
View was absolutely amazing. Spent a lot of time on the balcony to enjoy the views. Room was great with very good A/C which is rare in Italy. Very good quality price ratio compared to other hotels.
We had an absolutely amazing stay in Positano and truly cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived, Carlo went above and beyond for us—he was there for our every need. The sweetest and most hospitable host, he helped us with taxis, gave us the best food recommendations, waited for us when we made it past curfew, and patiently answered every little question we had along the way. He made us feel so welcome and taken care of, like we were staying with family. The room itself was spotless and incredibly comfortable, but the real highlight was the view—absolutely breathtaking. We never got tired of sitting on the balcony and soaking it all in. It was honestly more beautiful than we could have imagined.Considering the price compared to other nearby places, this stay was beyond worth it. I would give it more than five stars if I could—seriously. The location was also perfect: yes, there are stairs (as there are everywhere in Positano), but it’s just a quick 2-minute walk from the main street with restaurants and shops, and very close to Fornillo Beach. If you’re looking for the perfect Positano stay, this is it. Thank you, Carlo and team, for making our trip so special!
This property is a little slice of heaven, perched on a hill with breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The room was impeccably clean, and the host, Carlo, was incredibly warm and welcoming, it truly felt like a home away from home. Its location is very convenient, just a 15-minute walk from central Positano, with a bus option available for added ease. Just down the road, you’ll find Angelo Café and several excellent restaurants nearby.
Nothing!
Location was good with considerably easy access. The view is also really nice.
The only personal issue was the bad, that was too soft bed.
