    • I wish there were a higher value other than 10!!! This place was AMAZING in every category. View is world class as well as restaurant and staff! Only minutes from down town Positano and Pier.
    • Beautiful views, setting, and accommodations. It was a wonderful experience.
    • Love love love the Marincanto! The location is perfect.. steps from everything in Positano and very close to the SITA bus stop. The hotel staff, especially who worked the pool, were all extremely nice.

    Cons -

    • Only complaint and not even a big deal but no coffee machine in room.
    • The room decor could have been upgraded. Some lights didn't have fixtures, but it encouraged us to get out and enjoy the pool area. Our room had a WONDERFUL porch where we had coffee every morning with an unobstructed view of the ocean.
    • It wasn’t very clean

Probably best view in positano. Staff were attentive and gave personalized recommendations to us every morning and would follow up with us the following day.

Stunning views, excellent location, spacious room and friendly staff, especially Paolo at reception.

Loved the location and amenities. It was a great stay and walkable to everything and loved the access to pool and private beach!!

N/A. It had everything we needed and would’ve wanted!

For the most expensive hotel of our Italian trip, our stay was underwhelming due to inconsistent service and a lack of professional hospitality. The core issue lies in staff training.During check-in, we were verbally given instructions for contacting the front desk, but this number was not listed anywhere in the room. The next day, when I needed luggage assistance, I had to walk to the front desk to ask. When I politely suggested that this information should be provided in writing, the staff member defensively replied, "We should have told you at check-in," instead of acknowledging the oversight. This is not the polished, solution-oriented response one expects at this price point.Furthermore, the breakfast service was inattentive. Staff were often engaged in their own conversations rather than attending to guests, making it difficult to get coffee refills or ask questions. While the property and views are undoubtedly beautiful, the service fell short of the luxury standard we paid for. For this premium price, we expected impeccable hospitality, which was unfortunately missing.

The location and views were amazing. Our concierge was incredible, providing great recommendations for experiences and dining!

Best view in Positano! The location is great and the hotel is clean. Private beach and pool.

The staff is a bit slow. We waited one hour in between meals at dinner.. (5 Meal Courses) came at 7 and left at 11. at the breakfast no one came to ask for a second coffee or tea. They didn’t look at our table at all and closed the breakfast without looking if anyone wants anything else..

Amazing location and view. Caring staff.

There are constant wedding ceremonies in the hotel (or was the case when we were there) and service in its restaurant may sometimes lack in support of the wedding. A bit rundown but everything functioned.

This is our 6th time in Marincanto and we never consider any other hotel in Positano. They have access to their own private beach. But more than that it’s people and services. This Terra it was especially nice! They make you feel special. Breakfast in the terrace is wonders. A new pink bar is a charmer. They always improve and enhance. Love it there!

Very typical style of hotel for this area - quaint old style vibes with lots of yellow and blue. We had a villa which gave us lots of room and great views. Restaurant was really nice too.

Steps but that can’t be avoided in Positano really.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Marincanto this past July and we should’ve done a better research on location. I’ll start with the good . The location was great and had amazing views and plenty of photo opportunities, the breakfast was delicious especially the pastries we really enjoyed, we loved that we didn’t have to pay for beach access and the hotel had their private beach area and chair lounges.

Arriving to Europe we came to an understanding that refrigerated air was non existent but in the description of the hotel it does state that the rooms are air conditioned which they are to a certain extent . Our room throughout our stay was so stuffy and hot almost unbearable to sleep . We did ask for someone to check the unit as we noticed our room was just not cooling . They came and checked and told us that we must keep it on at all times of the day in order for it to run properly and keep the room cool , which we have been doing for the past 2 nights. We asked for at least a fan to circulate the room and it was not provided throughout our stay . The room remained at 79 degrees throughout our whole stay. Extremely uncomfortable. The mattress had a plastic undercover which was extremely unpleasant and not comfortable during sleep when you’re tossing and turning. The tv was satellite which we knew but the quality of the tv was really outdated and not working when we got to the room which we did call the front and they did end up fixing it . The tvs screen quality just stayed as is .The bathrooms were even worse than the actual room . Using the toilet you are actually sweating because there’s no air circulation at all, it had to be at least 90 degrees inside that restroom every time it was in use. The showers were so small you had to be careful which ways to turn your head or elbow would hit a corner .Private beach lounge with no lounge service . You are in charge of getting your own water and drinks when you’re down there , poolside service only .Some staff were friendly and one staff in particular made us feel extremely uneasy. We came back from dinner and on our way down a staff stopped the elevator on the 2nd floor antagonizing us asking if we were guests at the hotel , when did we check in, and what our room number was.

The location was perfect and had its own private beach and pool. The views from the room were exceptional; breakfast on the terrace was a dream. The jacuzzi tub was also super relaxing after a day by the pool and beach. Loved everything about this place.

I hate to be the typical American but the stairs to the beach kicked our butts, but that is part of the experience in Positano. Just prepare yourself and get in shape! No complaints though, everything about the property was wonderful.

Everything was perfect. The front desk is amazing.

The only issue was that the beach area is nice but that it is mostly utilized by a private beach club ( you will need to pay 800 euro to enter ) and their beach area doesn’t have a restaurant or a bar

We loved it here! The staff were so kind and helpful with letting us know what to see on our excursions. Having a private beach and a pool is great to cool off on a hot day without fighting crowds! Highly recommend!

We felt rushed on our reserved dinner at the restaurant which was our first night there. It looked like they overbooked we didn’t make another reservation the rest of the time there.

An exceptional, or should I say world class experience at this amazing hotel. Complements to Anita and Natalie along with the staff who were extraordinary in making us feel at home in a rather busy environment as we arrived. Nothing was too difficult for these lovely hosts, and the hotel truly was one of kind. The views, amenities, food and drink was exemplary and we simply can’t wait to go back.6 star recommendation if this was a possibility! Onwards and upwards for this beautiful establishment

Staff was available to help set up transportation and gave some guidance for what to do in the area and where to go eat. Also helped with some booking site issues I was dealing with!!!

Only complaint is the stairs but that comes with the area it is in lol
