Very comfortable with a stunning view. The food was delicious and the staff were accommodating after we had a room mix up.

The house is beautiful, the room is spacious and beautiful, fully equipped and in classic style design, the team is super smart, helpful, and capable, and it shows they love working there, breakfast is great, the view is breathtaking, and they have multiple private parking spots around the house. What more do you need? nothing actually, we loved it so much

So I wasn't sure if this place was going to be too fancy. It is an absolutely beautiful place with very down to earth staff. Small number of rooms, so lots of space on the grounds for everyone to have space to enjoy. Private parking lot. Small restaurant that requires reservations that can be made the same day. Really enjoyed the food and very friendly staff.

They really wanted us to partake in breakfast ?. We advised them we did not plan on eating breakfast since we would be hiking so early. They offered to pack up food, and we declined. We still woke up to food outside our room. Probably the least negative didn't like comment possible.

Amazing property! Rooms were very clean and we had everything we needed. The staff were super lovely and very helpful, this was the best part of our stay.

Slightly more out of town than we expected, but also nice to be away from the busy city.

The drive up the hill was a little daunting in the hire car but totally worth the view from the top. Not a problem at all once mastered.

The hotel itself is spectacular but the staff are what make this place really special. Nicole on reception was so incredibly helpful and the restaurant staff were superb. Excellent food and facilities and will be dreaming of that view for a while. Like luxury hotels used to be in ‘the good old days’.

Just a minor thing: Breakfast was very good. Ham and butter was put on the table while the rest was at the buffet - we had to ask several times to get some more. It would be nice if this could also be just on the buffet

The meals were so phenomenal we ate all our dinners there too. Loved the patio overlooking the sea where we could relax during the day with a drink or have our dinner/breakfast al fresco. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I love that it is a small boutique hotel.We had a room with a large veranda, which was great for listening to the waves and relax.It was great that we had access to local juices, beers in the fridge in our room

Absolute awesoem location and fantastic Personel, rooms are very well kept and bulding is kept in beautifull state. the personel is awesome and all speak english on a perfect level, they will do/help you with all your requests to make your stay as comfertable as possible, big shout out to the Team at 1905 Zino's palace, you made our stay a very enjoyable experience.

We were four sisters who stayed at 1905 Zino's palace. The hotel is extremely pleasant, the staff are excellent and we were really well taken care of. We can absolutely recommend a stay as all the staff did their best to make our stay the best it could be. A thousand thanks for us and a warm greeting to all of you.

Charming building, nice decor, beautiful views— especially at sunset, friendly staff

Driving in and out and parking are a bit challenging, restaurant was closed during our stay

Great location overlooking the sea in a quieter part of the Island yet only a 30 min drive from the airport.Hotel was really nice and comfortable with spacious rooms. Always clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had.The onsite restaurant was great too as I preferred to dine here of an evening on the terrace. The dinner menu was good and had a nice selection. Again, the service was good and staff super friendly and attentive.There was dedicated parking available.

There really wasn’t much that I didn’t like about the property as I had such a good stay. However, there were a few minor points worth mentioning:1. My room was 1901 at ground level. Very nice room but it sounded like there were elephants playing upstairs. Not ideal when trying to sleep.2. Dinner isn’t available Sunday and Monday. Not the end of the world as you can go out for dinner no problem. Just something to be aware of. Snack / lunch time small options are available but not what you want for an evening meal.3. Whilst there was dedicated parking, it’s very limited. I didn’t have problems getting a space each day when I returned to the hotel, but I can see how it might be an issue during peak times.

Fantastic staff - fabulous views - great restaurant

You need to have a car rental - the hotel will call cabs which are easy and inexpensive - but you are just annoyingly too far to walk for beaches (the one by the hotel can be a little tricky in the waves)

Perfect spot 25 minutes outside Funchal Breakfast and dinner were chefs kiss. The staff was so friendly, big shout out to Orlando who gave great local recommendations. Property was magical and rooms had elegant touches

Road leading to property was narrow and steep but not hotel fault.

Stunning property, amazing food ( three vegetarian options on supper menu). Close to Banana Museum which is totally worth a visit

The room and the communal area had lovely views of the sea and town below the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

You couldn't easily get up and down from the hotel to the town below.
