Grecotel Plaza Beach House

The staff was very friendly and helpful.The hotel is beautiful and everything is well arranged

The only thing I didn't like is that you have to cross the street to get to the Beach. The street can be very busy and sometimes noisy.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel.What we loved:•The staff – this is what truly makes the place special. Thanks to their warmth and professionalism, you keep in mind that you’ll probably want to return again. Such employees definitely deserve recognition and bonuses.•The design of the hotel – tasteful and stylish.•The thoughtful in-room compliment (thanks again to the team!) – it really touched us and made our family celebration feel even more special.•The kids’ room and the table tennis – great for family time.•The beautiful sea view from the hotel.

What could be improved:•By the end of September, it was already a bit chilly, so a heated pool would make a big difference.•I missed having slippers in the room, as well as an iron.

Lovely hotel, nice decor and great location, adult pool is located to the front of the hotel, other pools are for families.

Hotel is in a good location for the beach plus Shops, Bars and Restaurants

Staff attitude and service was poor. We waited 2 days for a baby chair to the room despite several requests. Staff appeared lazy and uninterested when asking for food or drinks. There is one decent pool with sunbeds that is adult only and then around the back of the main hotel entrance is the family pool with old beds. It is also too small given it is mainly a family hotel and overcramped. Room was dirty and cleaners didn't even change the bedding unless it was a special request.

The room was really dirty and the bed not confortable ( to the point where we left the hotel 3 day early ) the hotel is NOT on the beach. The swimming pool is on a street and there is no intimicy whatsoever or even security for our personal belongings. The room was super humid and noisy

it was so clean and comfortable, staff were really kind and helpful, best service, i look forward to come there again , best sea view, very very beautiful rooms and so so clean. good location near many restaurants and shop

Property looks great, exactly like what you see in pictures, clean and well designed.We had a great stay, after checkin we realized the room is not exactly like what was described, Maria from reception supported us promptly to make sure soon we’ll get what we expected. Such a lovely person with a positive attitude

Property was amazing, room was incredible and especially for the price paid. Staff was extremely nice to us, there was warm water constantly available and they even let us check out at our own pace without rushing us. Amazing experience overall, I have nothing remotely bad to say.

This place was great for family trip. Safe inner courtyard with children playroom, pool, table tennis, lovely cats. Breakfast offered multiple options for everyone. Hotel room was spacious with two bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautiful seaside was just over the street. Staff was very friendly ans with sense of humor.

Apartments located at the road are noisy due to traffic

Rooms/flats are placed in separate house blocks and are positioned across few floors (depending on size). The hotel is located next to the main street leading to the Rethymno old town (2.5km or 30min walk) and has main pool at the front of the hotel facing sea. Property has small kitchen facilities to cook, mini fridge, dishwasher. Staff members are very helpful and attentive. We only book hotels with breakfast and it had everything we needed, though dinner menu looked good too (not tried). Kids room with plenty of toys you can take to the beach. Great overall stay.

Rooms could do with a make up as are outdated, but had comfortable beds and was okay to our needs. Wifi has poor reception in some hotel areas. Depending on where your room is positioned ours been quite noisy some mornings (due to a poor window glazing) deliveries/waste collections/street noise; however, not impacted our stay

Staff very kind and welcoming.Good location with parking available and 20 minutes walk by the town center.

It's a bit of a walk into town. It was fine for us, and we got taxi back at night, but it might be a bit far for any with walking difficulties

Our stay was really good, the staff was amazing, the location by the beach and restaurants was lovely, the restaurant was also good. The beach was the best part, we stayed there for the entire day, the water was the perfect temperature. The hotel has sun loungers and beach service for snacks and drinks, which made it perfect to enjoy the sun and the sea.Reception is always available to help, be it transfers or taxis, extra towels, or whatever you might need.

Nothing much to say, the apartment kitchen wasn't super modern. But we found the style quaint and more then suited our needs.

The breakfast is excellent. The convenience of the pool and beach across the road was wonderful. The kids club was great for entertaining the children. Lovely and friendly staff.

The filters in the air conditioner in the room needed to be cleaned. The pools sometimes felt crowded as they were small for the number of guests who stayed there. It is a touristy place which can be good, but also busy.

Really good location.. Big rooms which were cleaned daily. Breakfast was really good, lots of variety. Staff were really nice and helpful.

The pools were relatively small but worked well for my children as they're still young.

The staff was hilarious. Thanks to Irakli, the whole reception desk, the restaurant staff, and everyone there. All of them were super supportive. We arrived at 7 AM, Irakli kindly organized breakfast for us, and early check-in with no additional fee, they resolved any problem we had really promptly. The hotel was clean and tight, the swimming pools very nice and cozy, my children loved it a lot. Supermarkets and the best restaurants in the area are nearby. I would definitely stay there again.

GYM was inconvenient, there were a few dumbbells and little variations of weight (there were like 3-6kg and the next ones were 15-20kg). Table games in the children's playroom were mostly in Greek, which we don't read.

Pool area’s are very small (two) but beach is literally across the road…

Fantastic staff.

Not really clean. Problems with parking. Not value for money. Poor and old room facilities.

Breakfast was amazing, staff were brilliant especially MARIA & Micheals.

The apartment and bathrooms need refurbishment.
