Mythos Suites Boutique Hotel

Everything about our stay at Mythos Suites exceeded expectations! It is on a quiet side street in Rethymno old town, walking distance to most bars and restaurants and to the Rethymno beach. The hotel is not accessible by car, but there is a parking lot nearby for 5 euros a day and the walk to the hotel is flat. I did not realize that I booked an Executive Suite (it was the price of a standard hotel in the United States) and could't believe it when we walked into the room and it was 2 levels, with a sitting area and kitchenette on the first and bedroom and bathroom on the second. All the rooms have access to a balcony or the terrace around the pool. The pool is small but perfect for a dip after the beach or before heading out for the day. The breakfast was amazing as well! What really makes this hotel special is the staff. They are all family and friends and seem to have worked together a while. They took a lot of time to help every guest plan activities to do during their stay. We got great recommendations for restaurants in town, on the southern side of the island near some beaches we were visiting, and on our way back to the Chania airport. We were also given tips for where to park, and what beaches were worth visiting over others. Lastly, I am not even a cat person, but I loved the hotel cat Erika. She is always relaxing on a chair by the pool and is very friendly.

Great hospitality and amazing staff. You feel like you are at home. The decor matches personality of this place. Hotel is well maintained and spotless clean. Breakfast is great. The location is perfect.

Great place, right downtown Rethymno. Easy to explore the city and the beach is only 10 min walk. The managers were very attentive and made sure to make our stay comfortable. I would stay here again.

The only area I would suggest improvements is to upgrade the bathrooms, but it wasn’t an issue at all.

Mythos Suites is an extraordinary hotel on an extraordinary island. It is situated in the centre of the old town, yet a quiet place. The old port, the beaches and most of the restaurants are within walking distance. They have really nice rooms , arranged around a beautiful courtyard with pool.But above all you will hardly find a hotel with a more warmhearted charming and cosy atmosphere. Irini, the owner, is a very charming and friendly young lady who, together with her team, offers real hospitality and perfect service.

Lovely charming stay in a mini apartment suite well furnished and extremely comfortable. Family run with a rich family history to the site. Enjoyed my afternoon naps on the divan! The manager Erini was extremely helpful guiding us on local visits suitable for our type of stay. Would highly recommend a stay here a great balance of comfort character and charm.

Tiniest of things but I’d recommend a small coffee machine like a nespresso in the apartment instead of instant coffee

We loved our stay at The Mythos Suites Boutique Hotel, from the moment we arrived (late) to the day we left, everyone was really friendly and helpful.Our room was perfect and cleaned daily.Five stars!

Having to leave.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of Rethymno old town. The staff are wonderful and the service was excellent! The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Our room was upgraded upon arrival and there was a welcome bottle of wine when we checked in to our room, which was very comfortable. We would certainly stay here again!

There isn't very much negative to say! The pool was a bit cold, but we were there in October. Overall a great stay!

the room was beautiful, large and cosy. I loved the inner yard with the cute pool. the stuff were polite and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast from local goodies! The location was excellent as well. Recommend it 11/10

Mythis did a great breakfast and the staff were all great and helpful. The location was great and central to the old town.

The hotel is charming, right in the old town, and yet an oasis of tranquility. The only noise we heard was church bells ( and not too early !) Erini is the most wonderful host - she is very happy to share her local knowledge and recommendations. The other staff are helpful and friendly, and look after the guests incredibly well.the place and rooms are spotlessly clean.

The breakfast was fantastic as was the location. Irene, our host, made our visit exceptionally good with her recommendations and her general enthusiasm and cheerfulness. She couldn’t do enough for us and for all the guests.

Mythos Suites Boutique Hotel is wonderful. It's incredibly classy, but in an effortless and unfussy way that means it is also extremely relaxed and relaxing. Eirini and her team are magnificent - keeping everything running smoothly, always there to help but never in the way. Breakfast is brilliant - lots of local and delicious produce on offer, and if you get the chance to try Eirini's rice pudding or her mum's coffee cake then you have to take the chance! And the location is great, right in the old town but with very easy access to the beach too. With only about eight rooms it is small and everything feels very personal. This is one of my favourite hotels. Thank you, Eirini and all of your team!

It was completely idyllic - we loved it all.

The location was perfect right in the centre with easy access on foot to the beaches, shops, bus station and more. The attentiveness of Eirini was incredible who recommended us restaurants to which we didn't have a single bad meal all holiday.The beds were really comfy. We didn't use the kitchen facilities apart from the fridge.The breakfast each day was good, with fresh pastries, greek yoghurt with fruit and more.

The two young ladies running the hotel were excellent , as also were the other staff, good breakfast , and very peaceful right in the middle of the old town

Irini, the daughter of the owners, greeted us on our arrival and was a daily presence at the hotel. Her warmth and advice on local matters were very welcome. The included breakfast was fresh and varied and catered for all tastes. The room was cleaned daily with towels also changed. Although situated in the town the layout of the building means that the rooms and central courtyard were devoid of any traffic / pedestrian noise. The Mythos suite is a peaceful hotel with great staff who made our stay very pleasant and we have no hesitation recommending it.

This property is difficult to fault

We really loved everything. The hotel itself - decor and design, the grounds, our room and most of all - the ladies running Mythos. This place was an absolute delight.

Everything at this small hotel was just perfect, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and Irene was particularly helpful and friendly- we shall certainly return and tell our daughters who would all love Rethymno

Nothing…..everything was very good

Perfect quiet, tranquil oasis in the centre of Rethymno, restaurants and shops very close by . We had room 8 on ground floor , comfortable bed, great air con, with seated shaded terrace area on the courtyard next to the small pool. Breakfast was excellent( we went on a tour very early one morning before breakfast started and owner prepared all the breakfast stuff for us the evening before and left it in our room the evening before ) . Staff very polite and welcoming at all times . Property very clean and tidy A super place to stay in Rethymno .
