Filoxenia Beach

Stayed only one night. Good location and breakfast.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Twenty minute walk to old town. Beach front patio /setting was nice. Clean room and comfy bed. Free parking lot nearby.

Wi-fi was a bit slow.

The hotel was clean and the location was excellent. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The bonus breakfast was superb.

Great oceanfront views and restaurant but very noisy road made it hard to sleep. No insulation around the doors and windows really bad mistake ! Lovely breakfast and lovely pools! Relaxing oceanfront

Good Breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine close by the sea. The room was a litle bit small, but we managed.The view from the room was ok!Clean room wiith good beds.

The shower was a litle bit smal for me.No parking in front of the hotel. 300m walk from publiic, free parking with a lot of space. I am 79 years and a litle bit disable.A little more maintenance work and painting to remove rust etc. would improve the overall impression.

When the building don't have the most of priorty there are few things which made my vacation acceptable/nice. For example:- It's a wonderfull hôtel, when you want to have the most fairy tale looking pictures;- The hôtel is just in front of the océan, this give you a fantastic feeling of expreiencing a real holliday;- Because the hôtel is situated in the centre, it is very easy to visit all kind of restaurants, the marketing et cetera.

The advertisement was misleading. For example:- The swimmingpool is beautiful, but is always in the shade, so the water is to cold to use the swimmingpool. You are obliged to use the sea;- the breakfast, serverd on the bar, at réception, most of it is cold, when you don't take your breakfast as soon as possible, but for example, half an hour later;- The rooms look beautiful, all in white, but they are extremely small, one have to wait before the other is able to pass;- the shower is very narrow, as it is made for little children. When you dont have a thin body you can hardly pass to take a shower;- they lacked the duty to serve soap in the toilet, so one can wash the hands after using the toilet;- further, it was uneasy, the fact that I couldn,t park my car, in front or just beside hôtel. That means you have to carry your lugage on the street, by walking with all of it.

Small hotel, with wonderful staff, delicious breakfast, right on the beach, easy to take bus to go to beautiful town. We feel very lucky to book at this hotel it’s a gem.

So magnificent to go to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing in the background.Magnificent breakfast!Staff were lovely.Private sun lounges were fantastic.

We had the most relaxing vacation ever, all thanks to this amazing beach hotel. Everything in the room was functional, and the bed was comfortable for us. We also appreciated the daily room cleaning—it was done perfectly and never once disturbed our rest.The hotel offers everything you need for a peaceful vacation, with direct access to a clean and comfortable beach.Breakfast was homemade, fresh, delicious, and added to the overall cozy atmosphere. The staff were professional and always willing to help, and made us feel very welcome.This has truly been the most relaxing stay we've had, and we hope to be back next year. ❤️

The car parking space is about 5 min walking, and it's hard to stop next to the hotel or pass the road by walking. There is no elevator (that we saw). The room size is OK but the bathroom is really small and the shower is mabay 60*60cm (big guys or pregnant women not goona fit there) and the soap dispenser is only next to the sink and not inside the shower (so to take soap you need to go out the shower). After showering, all the floor was with water (no shower door or curtin).

From our balcony on the 1st floor we saw and heard just sea and nothing else, very beautiful. Also the breakfast offer was quite wide and very tasty for a relatively small hotel.

Such friendly staff with Eva being very interested in our trip. Perfect beach front location and all very quiet. Beach (pebbly) and terrace area is fab with clean towels and beach shoes to get in the sea all freely available.Nice 20 -30 min walk along the shore front into the Old Town and Municipal Square and main bus station on the way.Brilliant breakfast choice and all home made each day. Great to take breakfast on the beach terrace. We left the car at the lot about 500m back towards the town in a safe parking lot as advised by Eva. A couple of lunchtime eating options close by also.A cold beer on the terrace with the sunset is a perfect start to the evening.

Rooms are ideal but as is typical for Greece bathroom could do with modernizing a bit but then we had just moved on from a 3 year old villa (!) This did not distract from the peaceful stay and the rest of the hotel made up for all.

It was amazing ...very clean , great location. Free parking , on the beach and a fab breakfast.

Excellent location, attention to detail was fantastic. Great homemade breakfast with a huge choice. Eva was so welcoming and a perfect host, had time for everyone. Fridge in room was a bonus.

It was perfect!!! Next to the beach , only a few steps from the beach!! Beautiful balcony, great breakfast!! Eva was so nice !! I will come again!!

the shower was too small

The location was great - a 20-30 minute walk to Rethymno Old Town or a cheap taxi, so close enough to more restaurants and shops but far enough away to be peaceful. There were restaurants nearby, and the beachfront location was fantastic. Eva the manager and the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious. The room was clean and well maintained, with everything we needed.

Hotel was lovely couple of minor details but as it was fine for price, owners and staff were wonderful very helpful indeed couldn't do enough for us

Nothing to not like really

Quaint family run hotel with tasty breakfast and good value rooms. Lovely quiet private beach and two pools. Staff and owner where lovely and very helpful

A little dated but super super clean and absolutely fantastic value for money
