Professional people working there. Very pleasant atmosphere, great renovated rooms, great views , beach is 5 min away on foot, parking is public, but right across the property. There are 2 pools, gym, they offer breakfast if option selected.

Room is pretty small lacking storage space for clothes and place to put suitcases.

The hotel is clean and modern, with a friendly and welcoming 24-hour receptionist. We requested an early check-in a day before our arrival, and they kindly accommodated us. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by numerous cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets. It has a large parking area directly opposite the hotel, which was very convenient. Daily housekeeping was provided, and the hotel is situated on a quiet street, making for a very relaxing stay. The studio itself was spacious and included a balcony.

The only downside was that the bathroom ventilator was quite noisy, though this was only a minor inconvenience.

Nice and clean apartment, comfortable beds. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The pool should be okay with warm weather, in October it was too cold for bathing, colder than the sea. The goodbye gift was very nice.

We chose the apartment because we intended to cook and dine inside many times. The tables are very small, for four people to eat we had to put the two tiny tables together and still not very comfortable. The chairs are not really good for dining. The kitchen also is not suitable for a regular cooking: there was not a single sharp knife at all (only a bread knife). We had to ask twice for extra towels as our children were forgotten when being replaced, and also there is no "please dont change my towel" option at all - which we usually prefer to be eco friendly.

We recently stayed at Mary Hotel in Platanes, and it exceeded all of our expectations! Olga on reception set the tone on our arrival with the most charming of welcomes. This family-run hotel has a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything you need – their personal touch truly made our stay unforgettable.The rooms were spotless, spacious, and modern, with extremely comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchenette, with everything you could possibly need. We especially appreciated the daily housekeeping service. The spacious balcony overlooked the pool. The pool area is beautiful and always kept clean. The breakfast was exceptional, wonderful selection of eggs and local foods, with owner Jenny’s home made marmalade – a perfect way to start each day.The location is ideal – just a short walk to the beach and close to a variety of restaurants, shops, and bus stops, making it easy to explore the island. We loved being in Platanes, as it offered a charming and peaceful setting while still being close to Rethymnon and other beautiful attractions in Crete.Shout out to Konstantinos, - we left our valuables on top of the safe when we left. He arranged for my passport, English money, credit cards and watch to be delivered to me in Rethymno in time for our flight!Overall, Mary Hotel is an incredible value and a true gem in Crete. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and friendly place to stay. We can’t wait to return!

Good facilities, everything was clean and comfortable, like your own small appartement fully equipped kitchenette and good airconditioning. I love the olive shampoo that you can use over there, its without parabens and silicons, i wonder where i can buy it. Few kilometers from the center, near to supermarkets and bars great location

super clean and nice appartment, human-size hotel with great pools and very close to the beach and the main street, yet very quiet et night, very kind staff and small attention as we were leaving :) a great discovery

windows were missing mosquito nets and we had to chase mosquitos during the night on a few occasions... (not very green to sleep with the air conditioning on)

The hotel has a very nice location - a minute from a beach, within walking distance from a supermarket, and some great restaurants. The staff was friendly, polite, and professional. The rooms were clean and inviting.

The hosts are the kindest I have ever met in a hotel. All staff is friendly and tries to welcome you at the best standards possible. The room is very cleaned, beds are compy. I did not use the kitchen facilities but looks complete to me. The pool is smaller than I expected but still no problem. It is very close to the beach and there are several beach bars close . Thank you for hosting us, we enjoyed our stay and definitely recommended❤️
