    Pros +

    • Staff were friendly, polite and professional Food was of high standard and a lot of variety High Service Quality Private section on the beach with free sun beds and parasols
    • This was an exquisite hotel!! I loved everything about it!! The location was feet away from the beach. The food was delicious, (breakfast was my favorite.) The staff was professional and nice. Beautiful hospitality. The rooms were updated and modern. Very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere.
    • Beautiful, modern hotel with two pools and a private beach area. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast buffet had a lot of variety.

    Cons -

    • Gym was small and lacks equipments They should not charge for sauna and wet room . Massage rate was too high for the quality of work performed The heated indoor swimming pool should be for swimming only not for couples ?courting ? in water.
    • The air conditioning wasn’t working properly so we couldn’t set the temperature above 18 C. I am sure they would have fixed it if we complained but it was fine.
    • A few things could be improved: the reception staff were a bit inflexible, and the parking fee of €15 per day felt unnecessary — I wouldn’t mind paying that in the center of a busy city, but for this location, it didn’t feel justified (especially since in Heraklion we stayed at a similar hotel with free underground parking). Also, the 11 AM check-out time seems too early. I know this is common policy, but it still feels unfair when check-in starts around 3 PM and check-out is so soon after.Overall, though, it’s a stunning hotel that we really enjoyed and would happily return to!

Nautilux is a new and beautifully designed hotel — modern, stylish, and full of great facilities. Our room was spacious, with a huge terrace and a wonderful atmosphere surrounded by lots of greenery that really reminded us of Bali. One of the biggest advantages is that the hotel has its own private beach directly connected to the pool area — unlike many other hotels in the area that are separated from the beach by a busy road. The breakfast was excellent, with a lovely view of the pool, and the service at breakfast was just perfect!

We were only at the property for 12 hours, but we look forward to returning. The grounds were beautiful, the room was modern, and the staff exceptional.

pools and sandy beach are only a minute walk from lobby rich buffet breakfast .Jacuzzi tub in suite amenities in roomwe were up garded to a 2 floor sea view suite

having to pay 15 euros a day for parking the car although clean but towels and bathrobes were well used and of rough texture.at first staff and waiters were robotic in there behaviour but after mentioning it to supervisor they started smiling more

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The facility is gorgeous and the pools are excellent. The hotel has direct beach access, which is nice. This is one of the best resort hotels we have stayed at in over 30 years of traveling. The breakfast buffet was very delicious and the made-to-order omelets were tasty. The dinner buffet was good, but there are so many fine dining resturants for less nearby we only enjoyed it once.It is about an €8 taxi to the old town,.From what I saw in the area, this is by far tge best hotel to stay at.

    Having to leave. Lol.

    10LuxTravelerPosted on: 8-29-2025

Breakfast buffet was amazing (also offering a great variety for vegetarians). Facilities are clean, bedding is comfortable, rooms cosy and spacious. Warmly recommend the "Semiground Patio" room with a large Jaccuzi/Hot Tub.

Pricing of cocktails, snacks, etc..., is on the pricier end. If it was a little less, the value-for-money would be perfect when booking bed&breakfast only.

Brand new, modern hotel with superb amenities – two outdoor pools, indoor pool, spa, and direct beach access. Quiet and relaxing, with soft background music in the bar. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and a great à la carte restaurant. Perfect location right on the promenade with plenty of shops and restaurants.

Beds are too soft, not good for one’s back.

The breakfast and dinner buffets were both extensive and delicious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The welcome lemonade upon arrival was the best lemonade I've ever had. The location right on the beach with private beach area with loungers and umbrellas was great, and it was a short walk away from multiple restaurants. Additionally, the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean with great air-conditioning.

Everything about our stay was absolutely wonderful, down to the smallest detail. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel at home.I would even say that beyond the hotel’s excellent quality, what truly stands out is the outstanding service — it’s clear that this hotel not only offers quality, but most of all sells a top-tier experience. The facilities were excellent, the location was perfect, and the overall organization of the hotel was impressive. The breakfast buffet was rich and delicious, with a wide variety of options.Although parking can be challenging in the city, the hotel provided convenient solutions that made everything hassle-free.Overall, it is a hotel I would wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend to anyone — everything was simply exceptional

    Everything was perfect

They help with everything, they listen to the guests, they are sensitive about their needs. They truly want to make the stay an excellent experience! My room was upgraded what made me very happy! The sea view is very beautiful. The food for breakfast and dinner is exceptional. Very good quality, huge variety of food - you are in a paradise. Thank you! I will come back for sure!

The hotel is exceptional. Every little detail is very well thought out. The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and beautiful. The food is delicious. The bar is fully stocked. The staff are excellent, very engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. Perfect score all around here.

The breakfast was incredible. There was so much choice, and the food was all really high quality. Moreover, the staff are all so polite, helpful and well-trained (some of the nicest hotel staff we've ever experienced). We were there for the hotel's last week of operation at the end of its 2024 season, so there was no dinner buffet. Instead, there was a set menu (but we could still order as much as we'd like from this), but this was still great quality. Our only wish would have been for it to include a few more traditional Greek dishes. The room was great. We were in a Verdant Room (slightly bigger than their standard rooms). We would thoroughly recommend it. The bed was super comfy and spacious, and the bathroom was great, too. The only thing that could improve it would be more hooks from which to hang clothes. The pools are amazing. We went in November, so it was a bit too chilly to swim in the outdoor pools, but the indoor pool was great - warm and relaxing but still big enough to do lengths. The gym was good - for anyone who knows how to be creative with their resistance training, the cable multi-gym they have still allows you to do a lot (this is coming from someone who has spent 10+ years working in the health & fitness space). The location is also great, as the hotel itself is very close to Rethymno (if you like walking, it takes about 40 minutes to get to the Old Town). If not, it's a 10-15 minute drive.Overall, it's a fantastic 5* hotel that we would recommend to anyone wanting to experience Crete in a bit of luxury. We will definitely return when we next visit Crete (which we will do, as there is so much to see!)

A few more coat hooks in the rooms would be good, and when changing to a set menu instead of a buffet for dinner, seeing more traditional Greek dishes would have been lovely.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel. It's not large, which adds to its charm, and the staff were simply fantastic. The beach is stunning, with direct access from the hotel – no need to cross any roads. The breakfasts were amazing, offering a wide variety of delicious options. It's conveniently located close to Rethymno, making it easy to explore the area. The spa was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend booking a private room with a sauna and Turkish bath. My teenage daughters absolutely loved it. All in all, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy.

A big thank you to Liana and Zania in customer relations and all the team for a wonderful two weeks at the Nautlilux Rethymno. Our holiday coincided with our 56th wedding anniversary and they made everything perfect, even an anniversary cake, which was a lovely surprise and so much appreciated. Before choosing Nautilux we read testimonials about the exceptional standard of service and It exceeded our expectations. Everyone from reception to maids, waiters, bar staff and parking attendants were so helpful and friendly. They made us feel really special. Our room was comfortable and spacious with every facility, including a jacuzzi and beautiful sea-view balcony. Breakfasts and dinners were superb with a wide selection of dishes for every palette, including some delicious local specialties. If we needed explanations service captain Anna was always on hand to give assistance.Nautilux is perfectly located with its own private beach to supplement its two pools. Rethymno old town and harbour is a 3km walk or 7-euro taxi ride, providing shops and bars or a romantic meal at one of the harbourside tavernas overlooked by the ancient Venetian lighthouse. We recommend Taverna Knossos, run by the same family since 1936. (Maria is a welcoming host.)One of the best hotels in Crete, without a doubt.

It seems churlish to mention such a small issue, but some extra drawer space in the room would be good. Maybe we took too many clothes!

    10NancyPosted on: 10-16-2024

Everything was exceptional—the architecture, the competent, professional, and happy staff—the buffets which were better than typical buffets—more gourmet tastes, excellent chef and beautiful copper Bain-Marie buffet serving pieces.

We thought the dining room tables for two were small for a five-star establishment, and we would have liked coffee plates for the coffee mugs. Everything else was wonderful!

    10JennyPosted on: 10-15-2024

Everything was just perfect: location, stuff, room, food, pool, beach. Very clean and quite place. A lot of restaurants nearby. The stuff is very useful and approachable. We liked everything. We'll certainly be back for another vacation.

    9AnnaPosted on: 10-14-2024

A great facility away from the noisy and crowded (yet charming) center of the town. Nice pool and beach accessible without having to cross the street. The quiet neighborhood and soundproofed rooms allow you to get a good night's sleep.

It's hard to find something to dislike, as this hotel really spoils its guests, however, if a possible improvement must necessarily be specified, I would add a kettle for making tea in the room.
