Cons -
- We originally requested a double but was told that they only had two single rooms available so we booked that. When we got to the rooms we saw they had 2 single beds in each room. Just one of those rooms would have been sufficient for us, so we were scratching our heads over that one. No matter, we were too tired to worry about it and we enjoyed our stay there anyway.
- It was a bit cold in the room.
- Small room and so-so bathroom

Very comfortable basic but was on the Camino primitivo and the restaurant was good .
This was a comfortable place to stay on the Camino route. The staff were nice. They had a restaurant in the lobby and a bar. The room was small warm and exactly what you need for a quick night.
Everything about this place was as listed no complaints.
Great location. Amazing food at the restaurant. Overall great place to stay on the camino! Highly recommend getting the ternera (best steak on this Camino in our opinion), stuffed cabbage, and the chocolate coconut cake. One of the best food experiences on the Camino Primitivo!
The room was dated and hot.
The location
Very noisy and was not able to obtain a table for one person at the restaurant of the hotel which is the best restaurant in town. I think they should give priority to their guests
Everyone was so helpful when I had an injured knee. Thank you Antonio y Javier!
We stayed here after a magic day of walking the Camino. The room was comfortable - just what we needed. We had a wonderful dinner in the Restaurante Nueva Allandesa. It was such an enjoyable surprise to have a really delicious dinner in that large, elegant dining room (we were seated next to the windows overlooking the river) with an excellent, professional server giving good explanations and advice. It remains in my memory one of the best meals we had during our five weeks in Spain.
The staff was nice, and the check in process was quick. Not a lot of options in the area if you choose this option on the Primitivo.
The room is fairly basic and the bed was not very comfortable, restaurant is closed on Sunday so we had to find another place, not many options in this town. Breakfast was minimal.
Could hear water running and toilets flushing late into the night and in the early morning. Room smelled too much of cleaning products. Faulty remote control.
Good location.
Not clean. The bedsheet was not clean and probably not replaced from a previous guest.
The owner was very hospitable and worked to take excellent care of customers. Although the room was small, it had everything I needed.
Nice hotel stay right along the Camino. Friendly staff comfy room nice hot shower. Pilgrims menu in the restaurant was fantastic. Recommend if you need a night off from a dorm bed. Thank you for the hospitality.
We were walking the Camino Primitivo in April. There are not a lot of options for lodging in Pola de Allande if you don't want to stay at the local hostel. This hotel was a bit dated as far as decor. The room was small, and it was the most expensive hotel/pension we booked until we got to Santiago. It was serviceable, and the food in the restaurant was good. Restaurant Staff was friendly.
The staff was impatient with my rudimentary Spanish. While the morning desk clerk was kind and patient, the one who welcomed us when we arrived was rude at best. Only place on the Camino where we had this experience.
All staff tried hard to enhance my stay. The hotel met my expectations. For an overnight stop on a Camino hike, this hotel is fine.
It's quite an old hotel so the room was dark.Breakfast was mediocre and seemed expensive at EUR10.
Everything. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was small but had everything we needed for a great overnight stay. The bed was comfortable. The room was very warm. The water in the shower was very warm too. We had a 'plato combinado' in the bar - very tasty and good value for money.
Great location and excellent food in the restaurant. The rooms are small and not modern, but they are comfortable and clean. The staff is excellent and the facilities are open early in the morning for breakfast or a cup of coffee.
I guess it's pretty much the only hotel in Allande if you want to not sleep in a hostel.
Food not great; breakfast terrible; cleaniness could be improved; very old hotel
Big room with Bath tube
No food service (dinner, breakfast)
