Consider alternatives unless you enjoy dealing with scammers. The gist: I received a notification at around 1am on the very day I was supposed to check in, saying my reservation had been cancelled and I had been charged as a no-show. Booking.com immediately refunded the cancellation fees after reviewing my conversation history with the property, but this still caused a great deal of unnecessary stress as I scrambled to find a same-day hotel in Chania during near-peak season.More context: I originally booked a room for three nights, Saturday to Tuesday. After a change of plans, I needed to shorten my stay by one night (Sunday to Tuesday). I asked if I could cancel Saturday, but they declined, which was fair since the reservation was non-refundable. I then informed them that I would be arriving on Sunday morning and still wanted to keep the reservation. They acknowledged this with a “Thank you Mr …,” more than a month before my arrival.Fast forward to 1am on Saturday-to-Sunday night: I received a notification that my reservation had been cancelled as a no-show. There was no attempt to contact me. The last communication was their acknowledgment of my Sunday arrival.This leaves two possibilities:1.They do not follow up with guests before check-in to confirm arrivals and failed to record that they had already approved my late check-in.2.They pretended to accept my late check-in, then found another guest and cancelled my booking to charge me a no-show fee. In the worst case for them, they refund me; in the best case, they effectively “double book” the room.I find the first scenario highly unlikely, so the second seems far more probable.

The location, the view from the room, and especially the kind and helpful staff made this place a phenomenal place to stay! We stayed here for a few days and had a great experience! The owners are EXTREMELY friendly and seem to truly care about making sure you enjoy your stay in Crete and at their property. They love to suggest beaches & restaurants which was really helpful for us - they are a great resource. True definition of hospitality! We rented a car and were a little worried about parking it each day, but they made it so stress free. It ended up being a breeze because we'd just call when we were on the way back to the hotel, and the owner would meet us outside and even park the car for us. Great people!!! Highly recommend staying here

Room is a little small but that is clearly in the listing & honestly it didn't bother us at all.

It was exceptionally clean, And the staff were by far, the best thing about it. They were friendly and so very helpfully, even encouraging us to drive through Chania and park it at the hotel where we could use it the next day to get to the airport and save taxi fare. Also, the view from the room was beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel right on the old Venetian harbor of Chania. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, making us feel at home right away.The view from our room was absolutely stunning — we even got to watch the sunset over the harbor, which was truly unforgettable.Our room was comfortable and clean, with a very cozy bed that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring the town.Overall, it was the perfect place to enjoy the beauty and atmosphere of Chania. Highly recommended!

This hotel is located right on the water and our room had a stunning view of the Venetian Port. We knew the room would be quite small, and it was, but we managed just fine and fortunately the air conditioning was very effective so that we could cool it down quickly after the sun had warmed it up! What made this hotel special was all about the people who work here. The service was so personal AND professional, a rare combination! We were worried about parking but when we arrived after a long day the exceptional Valeria was right there to greet us and help us park right in front of the hotel so we didn't have to go off to a car park. She was always available to give us great recommendations of where to eat, make bookings for us, provide fresh beach towels and umbrellas or cutlery and plates for us to have our own breakfast on the balcony overlooking the port open to all the guests. I chose this hotel based on similar comments from other guests and I was not disappointed.

I didn't realize how noisy it would be at night due to all the restaurants on the harbor and there was a lot of bottle collection during the night. However our daughter had a room at the back of the building, not on the waterfront, and her room was very quiet. So if you want the glorious harbor view, just make sure you have ear plugs in the high season, or reserve a quiet room on the other side.

The location is right on the old Venetian harbor, and some of the rooms have views. There is a terrace and a lounge where you can enjoy the view if you don't have a room facing the harbor. If you have a car, parking nearby can be a bit of a challenge, but there are several spots right in front of the hotel that are blocked off for guests. Just pull up and run inside and they will move the signs. Valeria the receptionist was wonderful, super helpful and full of recommendations for places to eat. She also loaned us a beach umbrella. The rooms are updated and the shower was really nice.

There aren't any rooms with two beds, so if you have 3 or 4 people in your party, you'll have to get two rooms.

We loved the location!!! Owner Mr Manos was so helpful and Gina was super friendly. Our first time to Chania, they both took the time to give us suggestions. Would definitely recommend!!! Great sunset view!!

I travel a lot and I really can't stress this enough, the staff were next level. So generous with their time and recommendations for Chania. We were stressed about parking because we'd read it was difficult but we called around 30 minutes before arrival and the staff helped reserve a spot in the street then even moved our car another day. The room was great, we had a once in a lifetime view of the cultural square where locals were dancing and living.

There really wasn't anything, like I said in the positives - we were stressed about parking but the staff alleviated all of those concerns very quickly.

The location was superb - on the beautiful Venetion Harbour and close to everything in the very charming old town. We had a balcony room with the view over the harbour and while the room was small it was more than made up for by the amazing view.Best of all was the staff - especially Gina who was super friendly, helpful and upbeat - she really made our stay great.

Our hostess Gina was gracious and informative . The owner was also very informative and cheerful. Both gave excellent recommendations.

Lovely hotel walkable to everything in chania. Staff was so generous with recommendations and taking care of all our needs. I can't imagine a better place to stay in chania!
