- What a wonderful location, and wonderful host! Hotel Employee was so helpful, and his friend at nearby Porto de Columbo, lovely Hotel Employee, offered the best welcome we received anywhere in Greece! This is a most picturesque place in a most picturesque part of Crete!
- This view is everything. Exceptional spot tucked into old Chania town, clean, good management, we loved our stay!
- First of all, Satiris met us on arrival (in the evening!), and gave us all kinds of good advice, and thereafter he was always responsive to questions via text when we needed ideas, which led us to some amazing places during our stay. On long trips, I've learned to stay longer in the first place, to acclimate and get over jetlag. So staying in the old part of Chania where we could walk around seemed like a good plan. We did end up going on some long drives to interior mountains and the northwestern coast, but Satiris had helpful tips about those other places as well. The room in the antique building was worth the 42 steps up (which sound like more than it is), as we stayed in the very charming unit with a loft bedroom and a balcony overlooking the old Venetian harbor (which we never got sick of looking at). One important aspect of this place being a good choice for us was that we arrived in the off-season (November), so while the air there was still unseasonably medium-warm, the scene there was chill, without the summer-season crush of tourists (which I suspect can make the harbor area crowded and noisy). I would not choose to stay at in the harbor area during the high season (I would probaby run to the mountains somewhere), but that's no dig at Arietta, which is perfect.
Cons -
- Waterfront bars could get very loud at night into the morning.
- We did not mind the stairs and knew about them before booking, but someone with infirmity may not be able to take the stairs.
- Lot’s of steps on the stairs, and sometimes noisy outside at night.

Extremely Beautiful and l spacious place, in the best location of old town, a wonderful experience! and the host was super helpful and kind.
The location of this property was amazing. Right in the heart of the Old Harbor, you can be anywhere in minutes. The place was comfortable and had soul, you could feel the history of the property. Our host was always a message away, and gave us many recommendations that were fantastic. He was knowledgeable and available. The space was exactly as advertised, but the pictures of the view can’t quite capture the majesty of the location. This was a phenomenal place to stay.
We did not mind the stairs and knew about them before booking, but someone with infirmity may not be able to take the stairs.
Very nice, helpful, and responsive host.
Lot’s of steps on the stairs, and sometimes noisy outside at night.
We had a fantastic stay at Erietta Suites during our 7-day stay as a family of four. The suite was perfect-comfortable, well equipped, and ideal for our needs. Its location right on the harbor couldn't be better; we especially enjoyed starting each morning with a pot of coffee while taking in the beautiful views. Our host, Sotiris, was outstanding-very responsive and always kept us informed about local events and things to do around town. We highly recommend Erietta Suites for anyone visiting Chania!
Great place, wonderful host. From all places in Chania this place is best choice for super views and very friendly staff. I return to Erietta when I'd go to Krete again.
Very convenient location. Innkeeper extremely friendly and helpful. Love the restaurant just below. Great balcony and lots of space.
The welcome was amazing and the view is as good as the photos - lots of space - small kitchenette but everything you need. The apartment has soul.
Unfortunately our last night was spoilt by very loud music until nearly 2am from one of the bars below. We were fine with the previous night's and in this location we expected some.noise (windows in the apartment work well) but suggest guest bring earplugs just in case
Excellent property. Very clean & comfortable. Very nice to be welcomed by the owner / manager with some helpful tips. Loved being right in the middle of the old-town with view of the port.
Spectacular view from the room window, very nice and very helpful host. A wonderful room with a separate bedroom, a clean bathroom and a kitchen. Soundproof windows, if you want silence, just close the windows. Great breakfasts served in the building next door. We will definitely come back. Even liked the 42 steps :-)
Great location and excellent staff!
I would not recommend drinking too much before returning to suites. Lots of steps!
It was a great location very clean the only disadvantage was all the steps going up.
The stairs up
Amazing location and lovely staff. Also clean and comfortable.
The property manager was great, very hospitable and welcoming. The location is perfect, right on the harbor in the middle of it all. It was very clean, left us beach towels which was really nice.
There was one bathroom for 2 bedrooms, less than ideal. No hooks for towels which sounds minor but is actually annoying.
Perfect location, beautiful rooms and great hospitality from Sotiris
Location was fabulous in the center of everything! We had an amazing romantic balcony, it felt so peaceful! We really loved every second of our stay, our apartment was immaculately clean and well organized. The owners were very kind, gracious and helpful. Chania is a great city to visit, highly recommended!
Nothing, we had to leave
Excellent location in an historic Venetian mansion with a ton of charm, and very, friendly, helpful staff!
The location of the stay was excellent with cafes all around. The manager provided useful and timely assistance.
However, the only problem we faced being senior citizens was the climb to the apartment which was very steep.
